I’d say name for name part for part the new cast is way more putting in a culturally relevant popular person into every role vs the old one putting together a cast that suited the roles. I think casting big names for smaller parts is the biggest concession that what I’m saying is right. Vin diesel says I am groot but they don’t go get a cheap voice actor that would have done just fine, they go with the fast and the furious guy, same goes for the raccoon. 1	Next time try supporting your own? My point isn’t that movie star culture is alive and well. It’s that studios are scared basically run by algorithms that crunch numbers to make safe bets. So that if a movie is trying to get made plugging in someone with star power ticks some boxes and is still taken into consideration. Perhaps it was once a more important component but it’s still definitley a component. 1	Next time try supporting your own? i get that but i think the response to the oversaturation of content hasnt been to cast fewer stars, its actually often to bundle as many stars as possible as part of trying to make the most universally appealing/ safe tent pole movies, and outside of a relatively small community of distributors and platforms making original content studios arent for the most part using quality as the barometer for what gets made. -3	Next time try supporting your own? big actors have had flops all through out film history. that doesnt prove anything. theres a bunch of reasons for a film to bomb and usually a lot of reasons why a film succeeds. Literally you cant get a talking animal cartoon made unless you got an A lister to play the funny pig.
