I grew up sewing so I'm more free handing it but what has been helpful to me is focusing on one particular clothing items that I want to make and watching all the tutorial I can find on YouTube until I have a good understanding of how everything fits together. If you're new then finding patterns would also be useful. Fabric stores have books of them but you should always buy online since it's so much cheaper.

This isnt directly relevant to your question but form my hair journey I've been following curly hair YouTubers despite the fact that I have straight to wavy hair because they tend to be big on hair health. They go into detail about the damage that different treatments and dyes cause and which are safer than others. I would start there for some information. Just search for "curly girl method" in Google.

I agree with everything you said but I wanted to throw out there the difference build makes in addition to height for healthy weight. I'm only an inch or two taller than my mom and sister but I run about 10 lbs heavier from sheer bone mass. I have thicker limbs, wider shoulders, hips ect. Since we are long distance we get each other gifts. The way that we get the gifts is tht we donate to an organization that gives a stuffed animal as a thank you. In our case he donates to bat conversation and gets me a cute little bat. I pick a random endangered animal that he would like, this year it was a sloth bear.

I'm in this transition phase and what I'm doing it taking the the more comfortable gender neutral clothes I'm drawn to and buying more feminine versions. For instance I love loose comfortable sweatshirts. So I bought a more form flattering version in feminine colors. For phase one of being more girly this seems to be working.

I really agree with you. People seem to think equal means the same. Like my boyfriend and I are equal but we are far from the same. We think and act differently in ways that could very well be because of gender. But I think that also goes to harassment. Women can be completely different but still be equals. Im not better than a women who likes the captain and first mate arrangement just because co captains work for me. Differences are fine.

I think part of what complicates this issue is that men dont have to undergo a physical change for this. I understand that its not fair that men cant opt out of parenthood in the current system but even with this opt out it still wouldn't be fair.
