I'll say that MGTOW subreddit is not going to give you any kind of soft feedback on something like this. These are men who have sworn off emotional and financial connection to women in one form or another and usually for good reason. As soon as a woman starts setting expectations above what you've always given her your happiness in the relationship is over. If you bend over, she will move the goalpost one rung higher next time. People today, and especially women have such a high bar for expectat…

Absolute delusion. This is the disgusting side of women that they can pull this kind of thing and reason that they're still good partners/ people. That first comment may as well have been my ex. She comes to me and says she doesn't feel anything towards me anymore as if somehow I could change some behavior to remedy that? It was maybe 4 months after that she started screwing around with a coworker. Is that really all the respect a man gets for doing his part for years? 4 months of lost tingles a…

I get what you mean. I still have anger in me and I've accepted that it's there while I try and work through it. I appreciate you reminding me though.

If its not her direct boss it's a coworker. I Lost a wife to a coworker which led me here. When a creature is driven by emotions, if you're not exciting her constantly, contentment at home will lead to seeking those tingles at work. I sit now happy sipping a beer on my deck surrounded by my garden and she's in constant turmoil. I now just wait for her to try crawling back so I can return the favor she gave when she left me. I was broken for a couple seasons, but ive risen to higher places than I…

For me I'm not as concerned that she is looking for a different kind of man. People change and grow apart. The awful thing here is she never had a problem with him when he was slaving away for ten years to front the bill for her growing value. The injustice is that he lifted her up on this value pedestal and she is now looking to step higher without any compensation to him. Most of the time if a man becomes financially successful, his woman didn't pay for a single thing of his while he was on hi…

Hop on any dating app (Tinder is most rampant with it). The amount of " entertain me", "make me laugh", "you need to have a boat", "I'm so bored", "tell me I'm pretty" profiles you come across is alarming. They're not joking and there's just as many that don't spell it out that act the same way. A bunch of mindless attention seekers that don't know what to do with themselves. I keep the app to remind myself that I'm not missing out on any person of value by stepping away from it.

There's no shame in taking a test run trip where you stay right next to your car. Just practice camping basics so you can get a feel for everything!

Absolutely agree. I've found most women dont have hobbies, they make men their hobby and turns out making a person your hobby never ends well. I'll say for camping I've not been much of a gear guy. I have a mystery ranch pintler pack which I use for archery hunting and for hiking and it's solid for a 2-3 day trip. It's not a cheap option, but will last me many miles. For everything else, pack as light as you can without paying an arm and a leg. That subreddit is a great place to ask people who g…

For me it's hiking and camping. Not the designated campsite with electric hookups type, but no trace in the middle of nowhere kind of camping. As a young man I had all the freedom in the world to do this outside PTO limitations with work. As many here, I met a good girl and got married. While we dated she let me do my thing, be gone for several days at a time and Id be welcomed home with hugs and kisses. As soon as we got married she became resentful of it. Like me enjoying myself while in my el…

Being too vocal about political or personal views in any large corporate company can get you in trouble these days. If it's not too abrasive to your personality, don't talk about your feelings towards going your own way to anyone at work. privacy of personal life is always the best policy. Be yourself and have your personality, but know that anything you say has the potential to turn on you, so speak wisely. I've been in a big tech company for 5 years now and I'm among the most liked people on m…

In the words of J Cole "Don't save her. She don't wanna be saved.". It was never your responsibility and most people can only save themselves. These problems are for close friends and family. At this point you are neither and have to let others do what they will outside your locus of control.

I have! Got a pickup truck full of arborist woodchips I'll be putting under my deck (it's got about 5 foot clearance underneath). I'll have about 9 x 9 foot space to lay them out and I'm getting wine cap starts delivered soon that I'll baby in a 5 gallon bucket till spring. I figured under the deck is too shady for growing plants so I might as well make it productive! Glad I'm not the only one growing mushrooms.

Expanding my garden and food production. I'm trying to make all the mistakes in providing food for myself now so I have no hiccups if I ever really need to provide for myself. Pushing myself with long distance running. I got up to comfortably doing 5 miles last year and did a 10 mile run as a part of a ragnar race and want to get back there and move forward. Hike two to three times a week for my own health and mental peace and my dogs Continue current financial practices to get a large cash cush…

Gardening and growing my own food! The physical work, time spent in the sun, joy of seeing things grow, and return on investment are really great.

It's baffling! Over the three years we were together we barely saved enough to put a minimum down payment on a house. I've saved that much this year alone. It's amazing any man trusts them with a credit card.

As one that made the move you did about a year ago, the first couple months sucked, but now are so much better. I think you're right to hold yourself to a higher standard of human decency. Keeping things amicable could save you legal battles. I know it did for me. I don't pay alimony or child support(we have a son who is 50/50). She left the house and the retirement to me and all she wanted was the washer and dryer. A few things I've noticed: Even though I'm missing her income source, I am savin…

I have to absolutely agree. When I first moved out I lived in a dark basement apartment of a cousin's house. Rent was 500 a month and it was all I needed. I was an active member of a church at that time and during one week all the men had a lesson on financial stability more or less. I was blown away to see several men MUCH older than me(40's - 50's) talking about how recently or currently they were in debt. I was baffled. I was young and naive and sort of assumed if you own a house and have sta…

That makes a lot of sense. If all I focused on was chasing women id go insane, but if they fell at my feet I'd be more inclined to let them do things for me. My hobbies would fall by the wayside depending on how many women wanted to take my time. A great insight.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
