”Remember, to women, your looks are the difference between being nice and sexual harassment.” This isn’t individual, it’s clearly generalized. Even if you want to just say “This girl thinks you’re ugly” that’s still insulting because the conservation doesn’t even imply that. It’s just a bit mean to say this about someone you don’t even know. That’s all I’m saying

Yea so you’re saying women think he’s ugly. The post is about how a girl he knows interpreted compliment he said to her as inappropriate, making her uncomfortable. Then he questions the legitimacy of her being uncomfortable which upset her further. There is nothing in the post implies that she thinks he’s ugly. You have no other reason to say it other than to be demeaning.

This is like one interactions though and you know nothing about this woman. She was uncomfortable with something he said and they got into an argument about it. It’s not the end of the world.

Complimenting friends is easy, it’s also a pretty easy way to get compliments in your own direction.

That’s such a mean thing to say. Like this guy just had a problem with one girl who didn’t like something he said about her and your response is to insinuate that all women think he’s ugly. Why?

She’s explaining that she felt uncomfortable with that kind of comment, so like just say you got it and won’t say that kind of stuff from now on. If someone says their uncomfortable with what you said, attacking their legitimacy of feeling uncomfortable isn’t going to help. It’s not a debate and you can’t convince them that they are in the wrong for being uncomfortable, unless you want to hurt your relationship them. This doesn’t go the same for everyone, it mostly comes down to getting to know …

Do you live in the US? Here we massively eroded women’s reproductive rights this past week, so the disparity is very apparent in our country. In other countries it might be significantly less noticeable though.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
