No one gets prosecuted for a false accusation based solely on them withdrawing the claim. A false accusation conviction requires positive evidence and must be proven in a court of law. You're talking out of your ass.

Your logic is only good at the superficial level. What you fail to understand is the concept of ghetto culture. The problem is that a group of people living in poverty, with poor education and limited ability for self-advancement, developed a culture that gave rise to gangs and the glorification of violence and criminal activity. This culture is as much the cause, if not more, for the prevalence of robberies, and is also the cause of gang killings, rapes, and the like.

It's a fact. It's just not socially acceptable to point it out. The problem is that it's a rather worthless fact. It's worthless because it explains nothing about why they commit more crimes, and gives us nothing to go on in terms of reducing crime. I don't see it that way at all, at least in this case. If someone makes a comment about dentists, and you know that the general stereotype is that dentists would disagree with their comment, then it's entirely relevant to point out that you are a dentist who agrees with them.
