Look at the world like the joke that it is. This type of mindset helped me in every aspect of my life. It can be misinterpreted at first glance, but when nothing is seen as an obstacle then there are no obstacles to climb.

Is there any basis to the claims that it raises testosterone?

It's so fucking hard to find people like this. I'm surrounded by people that are the exact opposite of this and it really drains your system.

He seems like the chillest guy ever. I hope gangnam style doesnt make him a one hit wonder and he continues to produce catchy music. It would suck for him to fade into obscurity.

I recently interviewed for a job that I wasn't really that interested in and went in not giving a fuck about what I said or did. Holy shit. This is totally how I got my current job. I confess, I was at a desperate point for income and was at the point where I was laughing at how bad my situation was getting. I saw the listing for a job which I felt I was under-qualified for and I "knew" I wasn't going to get. I didn't practice. I was just going to go in and improvise. It was just going to be a f…

myspace music really? But congratulations on coming to this realization. Its baffling how many people suffer from oneitis and never step outside the box to realize that they are under the influence of an illusion. I wasted 2 years of college on this bullshit and the toll it takes on your mind and body is insanely stupid. Godspeed.

Yeah /fit/ is full of emotionally stunted manchildren, but I like a place that will hold me to godlike standards and will tell me the flat truth.

Coming from a boring person, i find the common thread that runs through all interesting people is experiences that you can share.

I still think his 'lay down a challenge' lesson is a bit unrealistic. I don't believe for one second that the people I work with would willingly work harder just because their boss challenged them to.

Moral of the story, what we learn here in this community is stuff that people naturally would learn if they just get out there and socialize I suspect those of us trying to learn from material somehow lacked these experiences. I know I did. I even suspect that it might help a little but these skills are not really acquired by studying, rather experiencing. I too know a guy from work who wears dirty baggy jeans, a shitty sweater and a bad mustache but is always the center of attention in a room b…

Agreed. This is a hail mary opener. Either you walk away from it successful or with a drink on your face.

-You hyped yourself up for a week. About five or six days too long. You are building this thing up in your head and making it bigger than what it is, but I understand it takes time. Kudos for going through with it nonetheless. This happened to me way more times than I can count. My mind is one of my worst enemies and will sabotage me if I let something stew in my head for more than a week. I've learned to act quickly on something instead of letting it sit.

"Will you ever be ready?" Damn, I cringed man. Good job though, it's hurdles like these that we have to overcome. Much respect.

I recently moved and got a new job and I don't know anyone in the area (I also work with nothing but baby boomers). Any tips on how to kick start a social life from scratch? I think that's the one thing holding me back right now.

I imagine if the guy is temperamental this would really set him off. I wouldn't use this unless I was sure the guy wouldn't stab me with a broken bottle.

This was one of my biggest hurdles that I only recently overcame. Asking how they feel about something is a really easy way to break out of the small talk phase and into more personal matters. Eventually she mentions something funny you can poke fun at her about and relate to. I'm still a recovering AFC but once you get some practice its actually a piece of cake.

I thought so as well. I think replacing something like 'coathanger' with 'every single guy youve met' might be a bit less antagonistic, but I'm just a novice.

to be honest (and a bit blunt) she wanted your cock just by looking at your profile. Call me cynical but I don't think your text game was monumentally important. I would wager you have the look down and the right profile. When she spoke of stalking you it was plainly obvious that the profile did the job because in that line, you two had hardly established communication. Awesome though, I'm jealous you were able to get some that quickly.

I usually go with 'you're alright'. You're not exactly drooling over her and it suggests you don't give much of a fuck for the question.

These kinds of posts really help. I appreciate when you guys post stuff like this. I know you guys might get sick of all the AFCs crowding this place, but it is definitely helping. having said that, another thing that I want to see addressed... how much will you fail until you get it down pat? I imagine it differs from person to person and you've touched upon taking things personally, but how do you view unsuccessful attempts? what is your mindset at that point? That viewpoint could help me out …

8 rings true for me. These days one of my older superiors is trying desperately to convince me to switch departments. He knows I'm a fast up and comer and that I will replace his ass under 2 years. He tries to sweet talk me into leaving for greener pastures but I don't buy into that shit. I can see the fear in his face.

It really helps that you're in showbiz, I think women would be drawn to that ten fold than if you were a lab technician : /

No surprise. Would you really want to waste your time with a girl you know isn't even going to bother to read your message or do you keep your expectations at a reasonable level and hope for the best?

Anyone else think it's at least a little weird that OP is willing to refer to the woman he chose to spend the rest of his life with a HB9? really? you are going to append something cheap like that to the woman you love the most?

That should also teach you that your online pictures/profile don't necessarily reflect the real you, which is why I think online dating is general is a bit shit.

I'm super strong with the NEG and like you, the eye contact and smiles. I still need lots of improvement, though. To this day I'm surprised at the shit you can get away with saying if you say it with a huge smile and playful eyes. They definitely work well with the neg.

Following through, by far. I can usually initiate and hold their attention with a good smile and funny banter for a while, but eventually my 'monkey' kicks in and I start to actually 'plan' what I should say next. I lose spontaneity. I need to make the whole process more organic and spontaneous.

Absolutely agree. 7s are my target. They can be really cute (especially with a good personality) but they haven't been conditioned to be cold blooded bitches.

I've been 4 years out of college and I still occasionally (read: constantly) check the profiles of girls I had great chances with but blew. I'm sure his stories do pick up some embellishments, but the message is still valid.

Part of the reason I took so long with mine is because there were always other people there. I had to call the phone behind the counter and asked her over the phone.

even if I'm sick of their sandwiches and the only reason for my business was the girl? I don't care for the food at all, but do you think I can salvage this? I know she likes me, but someone beat me to it.
