I always do. That’s what I’m saying. Im always saying “I understand” and “it must be challenging” and “I condemn that kind of poor behavior” I find ladies have a hard time with that. Which I understand considering their relative, historical separation from power. They have their war face on, I get it. I just think that at some point you need to shift towards diplomacy and find the balance. Or… we could just dig trenches and get tribal and never compromise. Does that sound constructive?

This is the world many ladies have idealized and fought for and yet many will imply a man is weak or feminine for not having the “confidence” to approach them.

The worst part is then you get people acting like you’re naive or autistic for following the rules. “How could you be so unaware of the nuance” lol oh yeah because the advice along the way was super nuanced….

It’s not that they wanted me to avoid dating but there was just ZERO balance in the advice I got from these trusted adults and peers. I was always counseled extreme caution and extreme politeness extreme honesty. Which does not a Casanova make. To my example earlier, saying “I saw you from across the bar and I find you quite pretty may I have your number?” Pretty much never worked “Hey do I know you from somewhere” pretty much always did. Misleading? A lie? Pick up artist nonsense? Maybe… but th…

I mean I think certain jobs should be paid more but that’s got precious little to do with the “boys vs girls” thing.

Then I think it’s okay to give grace to people who are doing the work.

We give tax breaks to people who donate to charity… should we stop doing that?

We send murderers to jail? Should we stop that?

We gotta find some balance between “boys will be boys” and “all men are at their core a savage ape tryna get his dick wet” Like of course history is dark, some men are actual predators, yet if we treat good people like they’re bad people then there’s no incentive to continue to be good. The French Revolution made full use of class traitors, you don’t convince those people to contribute wealth and resources towards your cause if you fully intend to guillotine them too.

It’s just a pendulum. People want to push the narrative to the extreme that benefits their gang. The funny part is that through a lens of intersectionality you might realize that certain groups get caught up in the “men are evil” crap based on a system that was just as awful to their ancestors as it was to women of the time. Imagine being a black guy getting lectured by a white lady about how he is part of the oppressor class and how he has so much privilege because he’s a man.

Well that’s the issue, many of us have been criticized for things like this and so we never do it again. I was once shamed and scrutinized harshly for using this pick up line “hey do I know you from somewhere” I was told that it was wrong and bad because it is a lie. So this is the level of scrutiny guys are under. When good guys are harshly corrected by their friends and female relatives they listen and then they basically remove themselves from the dating pool. The only thing that matters is t…

I completely agree. We need to stop making guys feel like they’re evil predators for being interested in someone romantically. We need to stop framing every ounce of confidence as “arrogance”. We need to stop spouting a bunch of banal, platitudinal rules that obviously are not realistic.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
