If you're meeting with new partners all the time and not using condoms for all kinds of penetrative sex but still performing them, there's a good risk to contract something. This is why there is protection specifically designed for oral and anal. It's pretty easy to see why that's neccessary by considering homosexuals that contract STDs from their partners.
