Definitely always sounded corny to me too. I think it became misnomer though. It's simply to call attention to self care when you've been taught to focus on work or productivity etc. It's supposed to be a wake up call. But when you're told it as a kid, it just felt useless & corny lol.

I actually haven't thought of this yet... I have 1 spot where I'm making a pile of her mother's day stuff & father's day stuff & anniversary stuff bc idkw to do with it... she could come back & see it. But maybe that's toxic? We're just separated bc she wants out. (Nothing I did other than try too hard which caused her to push away.)

Lawyer up. Or Go to the court house & they'll even give you free advice from a free shared atterny. (Depending in state) Her kicking you out at night sounds like insanity. The angle of her hating the kid could win you more for the custody... also if she's acting like the kids don't matter. Get it documented for your case. If you get primary custody, you're better off in general. & do everything for your kids & don'tbe lazy so they know. They are more important than the spouse/ex spouse relationship. Bc even after they are of age, they'll remember everything & be there for you/with you.

I watched from your timestamp a few minutes... ouuuch. And does sound like the reason for all the divorces. Now I want to listen to the rest of this later. Interesting... I think there's something to be had from this... something giving advice to us men dealing w/ early divorce said to look at the psychological methods used by the therapist... Maybe we gotta make sure when the wife goes to therapy that we gotta check for something? I can't tell if that guy Michael J. Rosenfield is bad or not.

I'm also New & looking to save my marriage...relationship or what i can... but worried about this coming at me tok. This is just horrible OP... I feel like you should be able to contest this. I almost just want the possibility to be able to sue for defamation or something. Which seems possible if it effects your income, which it does due to child support... and you could be mentally distracted at work from being distraught from the outright slander. Not a lawyer. Wowzers. I know it hurts, but stop while you're at 5 months. I had the sorta the same issues of my wife leaving me constantly & I kept working it out. After 10 yrs later she realized her differences wasn't going to change & took my kids & everything... it hurts so much worse now & the investment loss is brutal. I wish I stopped it before...
