"When our children get old enough, she has to look them in the eye and tell them what she did. That is punishment," he said. If a guy said that in court, he'd get laughed out of the building.

Yeah this is why nobody takes MRAs seriously. Go fuck yourself.

You're a fucking idiot. You don't realize that promoting your mvoement in America is all about PR and you're letting your emotions take control of you. This is why people think MRAs are misogynistic. Why can't you control your fucking emotions and not use a word that a lot of women consider a slur so that you focus on the real issues that affect men?

Once again, the whole point is to be better than them. If they can't like dumb children doesn't mean MRAs should.

1) Both men and women face challenges and its irrelevant who has it "worse" - people should still try to stop discrimination in all its forms. Also, a lot of the problems both men and women face have to do with societal attitudes and that's impossible to measure. 2) Women's rights are always an issue, as are men's. And there are problems that women face, and both men and women should work on them. 3) I don't understand this question. MRAs don't support racism, but I don't think they have the sam…

As I'm reading it, it's starting to look like the biggest problem with teen girls and boys are thanks to gender roles. I don't think that's the whole story. Part of the problem is that boys and girls are inherently different and school is currently structured in a way that plays to girls strengths. Boys are more competitive and boisterous, and those traits get stifled in a classroom setting that isn't sensitive to their needs. Also, girls mature faster than boys so its unfair to put them in the …

I agree with you, but in the world of politics, image is oftentimes more important than reality. So, you shouldn't say or do things that could get you bad PR. Also, I wouldn't say necessarily that MRAs "oppose" feminism in that they advocate men's rights.

I personally don't give a shit, but given the fact that MRAs have to fight against the "misogynist" label, I don't see why people would use that word and give their critics ammo. I think any type of exaggerated hyperbole and insults are retarded.

Who cares? The biggest obstacles MRAs have is not looking like misogynists, so why feed that stereotype? Even if it is "accurate"

Any reasonable person would have left. If you're publicly shamed and singled out like that, you're going to feel really uncomfortable and you're not going to want and sit and enjoy the movie.

Don't use the c word dude, that's fucking stupid. There's no reason for it, and it just makes MRAs look like assholes.

The reality is that if even if it you couch it in that polite language, and the men don't leave, they're going to feel very uncomfortable. Imagine if a white person said that to black people and all the black people left except for one. That guy probably wouldn't enjoy the show.

I wonder if those guys are going to continue white knighting for radical feminists.

I think we can all ignore this quote. Even though Clinton actually said it, everybody can tell its clearly bullshit and unlike some groups of people, MRAs shouldn't be fighting to claim victim status. So what if some idiot doesn't think men are victims?

Its sad that these stories only appear on Fox News, a site that has become identified with right wing lunatics in the eyes of many people. It's also sad that one of the only reason this story is getting any attention is because this guy is a soldier.

The response says that "One student and community member has been profiled on anti-feminist/women website avoiceformen.com, and has been depicted as “the personification of Princess Cupcake”, “an utterly vile creature”, and “Hitler’s Barbie” among other things." It is true that http://www.avoiceformen.com profiled one of the protestors but those epithets were from the commenters to the article, not the website itself. The response is drafted in such a way that respected MRA organizations are cal…

I think the second definition originated to describe the conservative movement when it started going crazy with the Tea Party. I see a lot of parallels with certain aspects of radical feminists: strict adherence to an irrational ideology, a tribal us v. them mentality, really hot emotion, a persecution complex (that justifies being an asshole), a willingness to ignore facts, logic and reason (for the higher good), demonization of opponents, etc...

Here is the response from the Student Union: http://utsu.ca/content/3316 Not only do they spell Warren Farrell's name wrong, they lie several times in this statement.

If those are troll feminists, then they should all receive Oscars because they did an amazing acting job.

At least they admitted that it doesn't show feminists in a flattering light.

I'm not going to articulate this well, but generally epistemic closure is when you believe in a strict, narrow ideology and you close your mind (episteme means mind) to anything outside of that ideology. So if you're a feminist who just assumes that all MRAs are rape apologists, you are probably suffering from epistemic closure because you are not taking into account that you may not be looking at the whole story.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
