I've never heard it used snarkish, however I asked a question and it was answered honestly.

It's not a major issue, however I am interested to hear in one way wifey can be condescending, because saying it out loud it sounds just the wife equivalent to hubby, even in a condescending tone, there are a dozen words like honey that flow out more naturally

If you care about a one line comment on reddit, your life must be boring, see I can do that too

Honey is used in condescending ways in almost every medium, you see a misogynist or a playboy in a movie, he has a 110% chance to call a waitress honey in a not endearing way, and in my experience, only young couples use it in the endearing context.

I've never heard wifey used condescending way, and both are used constantly in my area, they are both used in the exact same context everytime I hear it.

I would argue that the whole point of the post is a non-issue, to give a comparison to some of the things feminism is attacking that's a non-issue, because there are quite a few of those as well, but I didn't make the post so I can only speak for why I would have made it if I had.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
