I’ll admit for most of civilization, and in a lot of developing countries the patriarchy is thriving, but in the US and most modernized western cultures women hold all the cards. Whether is parental/marital rights, job opportunities, college enrollment rates, healthcare resources, etc…. We have destroyed the patriarchy in this country in less than 100 years for women.
