Separated to divorceShe is just not that into you, as the saying goes. This is very similar to what I have gone through. One piece of advise I can offer. Get a lawyer to review the sep doc BEFORE you sign anything. Oh, and don't move out until you have a signed document. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/02/25 06:03 PM
Is she entitled to back child support? This is what I believe also. I have been told this by some divorced friends but not lawyers. I have tried to read up on the matter but it is reading case law and better left to the professionals. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/01/25 02:11 PM
Is she entitled to back child support?Yes, She (wife) is driving the timing. She left when I was still trying to save the marriage. I still don't have any reason why. No cheating, no abuse, just no understanding on my part. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/01/25 02:08 PM
Is she entitled to back child support? There has been no motion for CS payments. I have been paying for the last several months because I do understand that the kids do need the support. I also agree that I do believe that she is trying to get everything she can. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/01/25 02:05 PM
Is she entitled to back child support? This is good advice, "you need a lawyer". Arbitration is ok but I have reservations on some of the finer points of the agreement; too many to list. I was very surprised that the Arbitrator was not a lawyer. She was licensed and had been doing it for many years, however she always seemed slanted toward my wife's advantage. That could also be the law her in NY is that way. Thanks. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/01/25 02:02 PM
Being Alone SucksI only got to the point of putting the tree up. I never put the lights or decorations on the tree. I tried to get my kids to come over to decorate, but they never did. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/01/25 12:46 PM
IRA implications.Thanks. This is all great advice. Now if I can just get this all behind me I can start off the new year and never look back. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/10/24 04:27 PM
Were you once these things or subscribed to them prior to divorce?I just got to say this. Credited to a famous radio talk show host…. The Pussafacation of America. Us men have been pushed and shamed into being meek and mild. I was there. I’m only separated and already feel the relief! I don’t regret, but never again! She can’t even admit that she pushed me into divorce. At this point I can’t even hear her voice. God bless all men in divorce. It’s tough, but for the best. Women , our women will never change. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/08/24 12:12 AM
Being cut off by in-lawsHappened to me. Was married 21 years and as my wife was getting the fortitude to separate, i was no longer welcome at events. May not sound bad but my 3 brothers live out of town and ex has lots of family around. We never traveled to see my family. Holidays were spent with her side. Don't get me wrong. They are (were) all great. But as soon as the discussions of separation started it was a black-out from her side. It is still hard because I got along with all of them, several I considered my bro… | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/08/24 10:45 AM
What is one line or quote you can share to help fellow divorced men?For women, love is an emotion. Men decide to love. I decide to move on. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/07/24 08:41 PM
