I felt so stupid for not understanding that he wasn't in the mood that night. You did understand love, you just ignored his bodily autonomy. You didn't care what he wanted; you only cared about yourself. It's just a blatant ignoring of his clear non-consent. He was trying to be polite, instead of saying "NO!!", and making her cry. I've had women try and 'soften' me up as I'm very stoic and strict about my boundaries; this included spiking my drink so I was so sedated I couldn't walk, and sluggin…

I don't think it's suddenly happening, it was just recorded less when we had more limited tools to express our voices, in the past.

I'm thinking about acquiring a disgusting picture of scat porn to randomly send to these scammers now. I think that's the only way I can get back at them. Forcing yourself to look at scat repeatedly, is not getting back at them. Living your life, spending your money on your passions, your loved ones, and your future, whilst putting $0 in these scammers pockets, is actually getting back at them.

This is a 13 minute video titled 'How Feminism Makes Women Unhappy and Undateable' in case anyone wonders before clicking the link. Thank you for showing me that video.

Modern feminists create more straw-man arguments and make more prejudiced decisions than any racist I've ever met. And on one hand they're adamant that they're for equality, whilst the other is a fist used to bash all the men living today that had nothing to do with the systems of the past - the same systems that oppressed everybody that wasn't the 1%; male, female, and intersex alike.

Especially the 99% of men that lived extravagant lives working jobs like coal mining, sewage filtering, and as living sandbags on the front lines. If they weren't born back then to experience such a privileged life, it's even more their fault because they live under the rich umbrella of fortune that work like cleaning septic tanks provides for generations.

When I was your age I was in a similar situation to yourself except all the sexes were reversed (a girl was accused of sexually assaulting a boy - basically spreading rumours that she was a slut). Just you being there as a listening ear, someone to play games with, and not being ashamed to be seen with them - will make a huge difference in this kids life. The more you can take his mind off things, the better. We're still friends 20 years later.

women still carry nowadays the brunt of the emotional work, having to be the ones that take care of the children and family, Women don't have to do any of this. Everyone has to take care of their own kids, or make the choice to put their life on hold to care for family. I took care of both my parents at the end of their lives. I'm a man and you are erasing my lived experience. You may say that that's because men cannot express emotion. Well, that's toxic masculinity It's not men stopping other m…

Exactly, everyone has emotional labour, single people have to cope all on their own. It takes a massive lack of empathy for women to believe that they are the only ones that experience it.
/r/MensRights04/07/21 08:58 PM

I read the links in this post (on a female supremacy subreddit that I'm apparently preemptively banned from). And the links all about 'emotional labour' are 90% complaining about things everyone has to remember on their own if they're not in a relationship. I don't know how they survive.

I wouldn't say we're 'going against it (feminism)' but rather, if women can make complaints about the way they're treated, why can't we? Just like women, there have been pressures on men for centuries that our ancestors and ourselves have had to keep quiet about. But men are waking up to the fact that these injustices shouldn't stand, and if feminism isn't going to help us, or actively work against us, the Men's Rights movement has to stand for itself to bring justice for as many people as we ca…

What you said is so easily overlooked, and so important. Killing someone else, especially over oil and resources you know your country doesn't need, rots one's mind. Then when they get home, instead of their government looking after them, they abandon their soldiers and treat their suffering and PTSD as a dismissive joke. We aren't designed to be ruthless killing machines; the government makes soldiers that way, they should look after their soldiers, and sacrifice resources worth the same sacrif…

Mustard gas was so horrific, that my great grandfather told me they would piss on handkerchiefs and hold them up to their faces in an effort to get away from it. If one couldn't piss, then the training told them to get their fellow soldier to do it. But by great grandfather told me solemnly; "hearing 'Gas! Gas! Gas! ... you will piss.

There's a reason governments focus recruitment on teenagers. During the great wars there was no choice. But the way the US - in 'peace time' - funnels kids into military service by witholding education and healthcare is absolutely obscene.

They doesn't even factor in all the time saving devices many of us have, from microwaves to roombas. What really takes time (if one does it right) is raising children. And, yes, raising children is hard and exhausting, that is undeniably true and has been since the dawn of time. But it doesn't compare to even the mental exhaustion of being in a troop transport, waiting for the hit. Nevermind tthe horrific physical reality of when it happens. I feel that most comfortable people watch horror films…

You're needlessly politicising this (I'm am outsider), but I doubt most people would agree with Hilary that the female survivors of war are the primary victims, eclipsing the sacrifice of those that gave their lives (most often needlessly, most definitely often men).

You're right. The media have gone head over hills for this case, but people have been victims of terrible crimes every day. Better to let the legal process move forward. We're not really achieving anything ruminating on this.

I agree, I don't think details should be released until after a guilty verdict is made. As far as I'm aware, releasing the name of the accused is an archaic hangup from the day's when monarchs, lords, and clergy used to lock people up in a dungeon on trumped up charges, and just never tell the families where their loved one had gone. They have a system like you propose in Finland, and it seems to work well. The points you mentioned are even more important nowadays that one's name can be tarnishe…

That would be in line with past behaviour. Two steps forward, then when there's pushback, one step back, and say you listened. So even though others believe they've 'won' and extracted conciliations from you, you actually get what you really wanted in the first place. Companies do it all the time too, especially when making changes they know their customers will dislike.
/r/MensRights29/03/21 11:54 AM

I think it did the opposite, it's made people come out in support of the men in their lives, and highlighted the ridiculousness of these sort blanket proposals that don't address the core issue of why people - in this case a police officer - commit these sort of terrible crimes.
/r/MensRights29/03/21 05:14 AM

It does indeed. But It's 'just' a politician voicing a sexist proposal to start a discussion. However it's so cack-handed that it's had immediate pushback from everyone I've spoken to on the left and the right, male to female. And it's distracting from the fact that a police officer - that had only a week before, taken his penis out and waved it around in a McDonald's - abducted and murdered a local (to me) woman in the evening from a popular park. Details are scarse, but it's a whole scandalous…
/r/MensRights29/03/21 05:02 AM

It's not a legitimate proposal to change the law. There's no chance of 'the law pass[ing]'. It's more a sexist politicians proposal after an off duty policeman abducted and murdered a woman from a popular park one evening a few weeks ago.
/r/MensRights29/03/21 04:44 AM

This isn't a serious proposal, more one to start a discussion. But yes, if violent men were forced to stay at home and weren't able to go to the pub, then there would be an uptick in domestic violence.

There's plenty, I'd say the majority that don't support supremacy of either sex. Most of my peer group are well educated professionals with a sprinkling of manual workers and a couple of toffs. I'm probably the most traditionally left leaning of all of us. But even the women I know don't support this sort of sexist insanity. We don't get to vote or give our input for any of this. Wow, that's fucking insane. I went to Catholic school and a favourite pastime of boys was undoing lasses bras through their jumpers (we had quite a strict uniform) with one hand. Even 'nothing' hits can pop your ear drum or 'switch your brain off' for a second or so; long enough to fall and crack your dome on the concrete. That's why it's so dangerous to have in the zeitgeist that it's okay for a woman to hit a man; just because men have a higher offensive output, doesn't mean the very vulnerable parts of the human body (head\neck\groin) are any more difficult to damage.

You can do the same on Android, it's in the accessibility settings. There's also a one handed keyboard option. And if you still need a smaller screen, you can just trim it down with a Dremel, then calibrate the screen to its smaller size by putting it in the microwave for 5 minutes.

To be fair, the US government are the ones underfunding ICE. It IS their fault. It's not like the US doesn't have money to spare, it just goes into the pockets of the upper classes and an overexpansive military, not into the pockets of the people that stand on the front line and slog through a regular work day.

I don't like imperialism, but the US has to fix it's drug policy and fix Mexico like (West) Germany and Japan. I live on a bunch of islands, so it's hard for me to comprehend just how much manpower and money must be spent in the US on illegal immigrants that not only don't integrate, but commit high crimes and treason within one's borders.

A lot of people over look this, but President Obama was complicit in the killings of innocent men, women, and children. Some of them US citizens. I'm European, so Obama was a bit right wing for my tastes, but it shows how charisma can carry a politician.

I first noticed it on the article Sexual Dimorphism in Homosapiens. Someone had edited it to say that the strength disparity between men and women only existed due to social pressure to be 'strong' in males. However the source outlined that female Olympic athletes have about the same grip strength as sedentary males. The idea that Sexual Dimorphism in Humans is a social construct was quickly reverted fortunately. These people are delusional.

Whilst admittedly circlejerky, Mr. Pruitt's large contribution to Wikipedia reminds me of this quote from David Elton Trueblood, The Life We Prize, 1951: "A man has made at least a start on discovering the meaning of human life when he plants shade trees under which he knows full well he will never sit".
