When you factor in muscle mass and body fat levels the results skew much more in favor of the average man being in better shape than the average women. Many low BMI women are skinny fat (Average weight, low muscle mass, high body fat) and many high BMI Men are built-fat (average weight, high muscle mass, average body fat) Stats on this topic almost always just look at BMI which is just height and weight, but that doesn’t provide a very comprehensive picture

For what worth, okcupid found that something like 70-80% of women who claimed to be bisexual exclusively messaged men. So there’s a good chance that your average bisexual women is really just a hetero girl trying to appear more sexually adventurous to men. OPs argument seems to implying that women are more sympathetic to men’s dating issues if they themselves have actually dated women as well.

The issue is that there’s the perception, for men, that sex is cheap and plentiful (ie not requiring commitment). After all, women and society at large have been pushing narratives about women being sexually liberated while there are plenty of top tier men who can get sex without investment—this creates an unrealistic baseline for many men. Meanwhile, women have the perception that high value men are relatively cheap and plentiful considering that these men will often sleep with them (but not co…

Monogamy has evolved into a system that only works when male confidence is artificially low Quite the opposite. Monogamy typically fails when male confidence is low because women don’t want to be with these unconfident men long term. If anything monogamy doesn’t work well in the modern era because we no longer live in a society which provides good incentives for it. Men and women have opposing sexual strategies that once required cooperation in order for each side to get what they want. However …

Mate selection is a complex topic and being attractive in the man’s eyes heavy predicated on physical attractiveness (youth and fertility) but it’s certainly not the only thing. Personality absolutely matters, but not everyone has the prowess to recognize potentially concerning traits and behaviors. Regarding gold diggers: that trait is really just an overt and exaggerated expression of a woman’s evolutionary strategy which is to secure protection and provisioning (ie money and resources) from h…

Yes because for 300,000 years, a man who didn’t prioritize markers of youth and fertility in women was a man whose genes never got passed on and was subsequently weeded out of the gene pool
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 12:26 PM

Evolution favors traits that lead to successful reproduction and passing on of genes Youth and markers of fertility are key for women because they’re indicative of their likelihood to successfull conceive and give birth to a healthy child Men accordingly evolved to detect and be attracted to youthful traits and fertility markers Being severely overweight/obese is an evolutionary red flag which indicates a lack of heath, fertility, and youthfulness

Hypergamy combined with unprecedented access to potential partners is the fundamental problem Once upon a time all men were essentially high value relative to women based on having better access to education and jobs. Additionally, a women’s perception of available partners was limited to a relatively small number of men in her local area. Fast forward to today and women are more educated then men, have their own high paying jobs and are no longer dependent on men for their lifestyle. They also …

In high school the friend of mine who got the most interest from girls was a guy who was very uninhibited. While the rest of us were very self-conscious, he wouldn’t give two shits and would do things that were weird or inappropriate at times. However, he was also very uninhibited, confident, and genuine as a result. I wonder if people are calling this sort of behavior “autism” when in reality it’s just guys like my friend who didn’t give a damn and attracted women as a result

Functioning non-violent psychopathy is the human mentality equivalent of occasionally stealing half the money In the weekly church collection bin. If everyone did that, the whole institution would collapse, but if only a few do it then those few benefit tremendously—psychopathy persists evolutionarily because it’s all about benefiting one’s self at the expense of others

The nail that sticks out gets hammered… Humans are a highly social species who are dependent on each other greatly. To be non-conforming is to be non-productive when it comes to ancient societies. If it’s time to collect the harvest and you’re out collecting and cataloging insect species, your fellow humans are probably going to be irritated to say the least. Also, interestingly enough, people with ADHD are more likely to have sex, probably because it’s tied to impulsivity

And your average poor person has a cell phone so economic inequality must not be a problem in America It’s all relative and as OP pointed out, you have a small percentage of men getting nearly all of the sexual access. Two things can be true at once here Consider that 100 years ago a woman was utterly dormant on a man for provisioning, whereas now women are on par with or in some cases surpassing men when it comes to income and education. If women don’t need men for provisioning, it makes sense that their calculus would shift toward the good genes side of the equation. Ultimately, it makes sense that a women would prioritize in men what she can’t obtain on her own. 100 years ago that might have been material w…

You’re right and that’s a byproduct of the new global sexual marketplace where the number of available men seems nearly endless to your average women. How often do you see advertisements for basic food staples or things like gasoline? Almost never because it’s a product that sells itself based on high demand alone. Likewise your average woman has little incentive to put herself out there compared to 50 years ago. However it’s important to realize that high SMV men are in fact in shorter supply t…

A few big factors here: Post the Me Too Movement, there’s a strong perception by men that anything remotely approaching hitting on women is a risk for an accusation women are more vocal about unwanted attention from men, setting boundaries, and shaming men who are perceived to be crossing them being perpetually online has left much of the younger generations lacking the skills and social confidence to approach women

Women used to “embrace the wall” in the form of taking pride and deriving value in starting a family or at the very least their professional accomplishments. Now we live in a world of Instagram, Tinder, and social media more broadly where attention for physical beauty is what many women value more than anything

A women who has the opportunity to do on a date with Chad probably isn’t scoffing at coffee, but let’s be heart about the women in an over 40 sub; their focus has shifted from finding Chad to finding a guy who will provide resources and long term security—they want over evidence that any potential date is willing to to provide that

If this were 1990 I might agree with that sentiment, but in 2024 female sexuality is glorified and celebrated in the western world. If anything it’s male sexuality that is getting demonized and suppressed as a means of correction for past injustices and power structures

Making the of it and having a positive attitude is great, but quite frankly I think too many women have mediocre sex and chalk it up to “well that’s just how it is…”. In reality, women don’t spend nearly as much time as men getting to know themselves sexually and end up missing out on their full sexual potential as a result.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 06:21 PM
3

OP, the core reality of your point is that your average women is totally ignorant regarding her own sexuality. Combine that with a narrative which says that the man is responsible for both parties’ orgasms and what you end up with is a large cohort of women who have mediocre sex all while saying “HE can’t even make me cum” For reference Jim Jeffries had a whole bit about this: https://youtu.be/INdn-YLfI8c?si=AJLm1VlvWJuQbRx3

Anything that’s formative (usually things that happen in younger years) tends to have a disproportionate imprinting effect, but a 10/10 Chad met at 25 will absolutely beat out a 7/10 she dated in high school. Nevertheless, emotional attachment is a thing and I’ve known women who latch on to objectively unattractive men at the expense of dating hotter men because he was her first or whatever

You realize that women are responding to incentives based on thousands of years of evolutionary programming in a manor that is no different than men—they’re not evil or irrational, they’re doing what has worked for hundreds of generations of women before them (ie seeking out strong confident men with resources, power, charisma, etc). It’s worth noting that a lot of “blackpill” men are simply just men whose redpill journey stalled out because they couldn’t get past the resentment/anger phase. I w…

Most of it is a mentality shift where you do a critical self analysis regarding what women are actually attracted to in a man and what you bring to the table instead of making excuses (ie “women should just accept me for who i am”). Fundamentally, TRP is about learning to play the game as it is, not how you wish it were. In many cases, the man you are in terms of how you interact with women simply isn’t attractive to them. This was made more obvious to me by the fact that I have plenty of object…

I’ve witnessed a sort of “revenge” that occurs for late bloomers (men and women) and it’s less about revenge and more about being jaded. When you feel like the world has treated you poorly, the way you treat the world tends to reflect that. Back 2013 when I first discovered the TRP and actually started putting it into practice, I became really disheartened by how well it worked and had a brief period of resentment toward women as a result. Similarly, I’ve known women who were treated poorly in h…

Men and women tend to make the mistake of assuming that their priorities are the same as the opposite sex. Men value sex, women value commitment generally. Telling a man that he’s worthy of commitment falls about as flat as telling a women she’s worthy of sex…except in most cases where women call a man husband material, she’s not even willing to commit to him. In other words, he’s worthy of commitment to other women, not her

Women aren’t romantic…they enjoy being the net recipients of romance. Big difference
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 03:46 AM

The point I’m trying to make is that this issue is largely only one when everything is based on online interaction and pictures. Conveying your attractiveness as a man requires face to face interaction
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 01:50 PM

The okcupid data was the first to bring this issue into the limelight, but my understanding is that this general sentiment is replicated across surveys, both formal and informal. I think what matters most from all this is the realty that men can’t rely on physical attraction alone like women can—dating success as a man requires cultivating personality and success in combination with face to face interaction
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 01:33 PM

True, but that threshold is so high that most men will never know what it’s like to be a sex object to women, so it’s rarely a factor
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 01:09 PM

And that’s still a side effect of dating apps, social media, and greater acceptance of casual sex. Women who spend a lot of time online getting unhealthy amounts of attention and validation end up with an inflated sense of their sexual market value—essentially they become 6’s who think they’re 8s, that deserve a man who’s a 9. Those 9/10 men will sleep with but not commit to a woman who’s a 6, which confuses the hell out of her It’s also worth noting that men may be doing poorly in real life too…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 01:07 PM

The “women find 80% of men unattractive” thing is an artifact of online dating/social media more than anything. Women don’t lust after men through visual stimulus anywhere close to the rate that men do for women. They need face to face interaction in order to determine a man’s attractiveness in a holistic sense and for most of human history that wasn’t an issue. In absolute term’s, most people still date and pair up…your post seems to imply that there’s some “women going there own way” movement,…

These sorts of details tend to come out, if only by accident, especially in long term relationships. Also, in my experience, previous sexual history is often something that people will probe on with their romantic partners.

Your argument is completely logical, with results that are quicker (and likely cheaper as well in the long run) and more direct relative to what you want out of the opposite sex. Nevertheless, the stigma exists in most cultures, with the average John being perceived as a sleezy gross stereotype of a man. With that in mind, it’s almost never to a man’s advantage to be forthcoming about consuming anytime of sex work whether that be a prostitute or simply an onlyfans sub. In all cases, you’ll likel…

My understanding is that “technical mistakes” happen at a significant rate (even for people who can afford proper legal representation) due to a combination of the strict standards for contracts and the subjective discretion of judges who can essentially throw them out if deemed to be unfair in their terms. On the flip side, the act of getting married is a fairly robust form of legal/financial entanglement that requires almost no understanding of the implications or risks involved (I.e. there’s …

To my knowledge the data doesn’t really exist, but it’s based on the reality that for a contract to be legally binding it has to be fairly air tight for example: “A court can invalidate a prenuptial agreement if it finds that there was, among other things, fraud, duress, coercion, mistake, undue influence or unconscionability in the terms or circumstances surrounding the prenuptial”. That last term “unconscionable” is fairly subjective and essentially means a contract that no one in their right …

Sure, but I’d also argue that men’s cheating isn’t socially accepted/tolerated like women’s…a man that cheats is a horny idiot who threw away his marriage for strange pussy. Social Trust is the key word here For much of the western world right now there seems to be issues with social trust that often manifests as a greater propensity to screw other people over while having greater expectations of getting screwed over yourself. Men on average have significantly higher levels of spontaneous arousal (vs responsive arousal) which puts men in the position of having to generate desire more often then not. If you’ve ever seen mating amongst birds, where the male has bright flashy plumage and has to dance around to get the female interested—well in humans the dynamic is basically the same except we’re demonstrating fitness through our intelligence, wealth, charisma, etc.

Good catch on the Bad math. On the height disparity, I suspect your theory is correct in terms of how it plays out in practice (i.e. a 6ft tall women isn’t realistically expecting to get a 6’8” man. Historically, a woman who wanted a child is almost guaranteed to have one—meanwhile 80% of all men historically failed to reproduce at all. The underlying reality is therefore that masculine traits are a better evolutionary strategy, because the handicap to “masculine women” is much less than “feminine men”. Finally, a some of the supposedly disadvantageous traits like being tall as a women are less about men being repulsed and more about the women having commensurately higher standards for men …

Basic Scientific answer: Women on average have lower spontaneous sexual desire (vs responsive desire) then men leading to more discriminating sexual behaviors Each one’s sexual behaviors on average align well with their evolutionary imperatives—notably that every child a woman has is a larger portion of her lifetime reproductive potential (i.e. a women can only have around 20 biological children, while a man can theoretically sire thousands) and creates a greater lifetime burden in terms of care…

20 year old body because that’s what men value when it comes down to brass tax Also, I disagree with the sentiment that a 40 year old by default is a better person or has a better personality. While younger women can be annoying, immature, and nothing but drama, the same can be said for a 40 year old except they tend to also have more baggage and have lost their youthful optimism—in the end it’s really a case by case thing

Sex drive or enjoyment of sex? I ask because there is absolutely no science to support the idea that women have equivalent sex drives to men (ie spontaneous desire for sex). While you might be able to argue that women enjoy sex as much as men, when it comes to drive the evidence is pretty clear—a simple google search of the topic will provide page after page of academic studies and surveys that report men having higher sex drives

In my experience, there are more women trying to be “one of the guys” than men trying to be “one of the girls”. So what does that tell you? My theory on this is that women have more to gain from male friendships than the reverse.

When women say what they want they’re assuming the attraction is already there while listing the qualities (I.e. he has to be caring AND attractive). For example, when a woman says she wants a nerd, she’s envisioning Henry Cavil not a fat neck beard.

Evolution is imperfect: Example: Humans evolved to want sex, not necessarily children and this has lead to a lot of people having sex while preventing conception with various forms of birth control—a problem ‘evolution didn’t foresee’ because for 99% of human history, sex = conception more often then not. Same issue here: women wanting sex when fertile is more important than having an orgasm and wouldn’t you know it, an overwhelming number of women are at their horniest during ovulation…

Sure…but the implication of the rule that a woman who’s willing to delay sex probably doesn’t have the sort of animal attraction for you that leads to hot lustful sex anyway—the sex is gonna be meh I don’t know about you, but I’ll take hot crazy lustful sex with a 7 over mediocre sex with a 10 any day

The problem that men who are not “naturals” will find themselves in is that things like TRP are a means to an end, with that end being a monogamous relationship with the “right woman” at which point they can relax. In reality, the expectations placed upon you just go up in an LTR while the sex often goes down, which leads to marriage and the like feeling like a bit of a bait and switch.

It’s evolutionarily disadvantageous for men to be overly picky when it comes to women. 10,000 years ago 1 man reproduced for every 17 women that did. A man who spent his time too focused on anything that wasn’t an acceptable level of youth and fertility was a man who was an evolutionary dead end Women meanwhile will almost always have some male interest so it’s in their interest to be hypergamous

Women have always been the relational gatekeepers of society In previous generations, women needed men in order to survive and prosper due to societal barriers that limited a woman’s independence Women are no longer limited by society and can provide for themselves or have their needs met by the government—simply put, they don’t need men like they used to Men have become ‘a want’ vs ‘a need’ for most women, therefore they have the luxury of increasing their standard for what defines a man they’r…

What’s missing from this conversation is the explanation for why the “inauthenticity” of pickup artist tactics are such an issue for OP. I’d argue it’s tied to the fear of getting duped from an evolutionary standpoint (that both sexes have) which is the issue here. Women have evolved over hundreds of years to detect and exclude weak men from consideration, while men have evolved to desire attractive fertile women. We tend to have an inherent dislike for things which “trick” us into finding the o…

Common sense: if companies could simply pay women 70% of what they pay men, then companies would simply hire all women and save a fuck ton of money on labor costs In realty, when all factors are considered such as job choice, hours worked, etc. the “wage gap” becomes about a 2% difference between men and women.

Evo Bio Take—10,000 years ago… - An overly picky man simply wouldn’t have reproduced - An overly picky women would have reproduced with a man with stronger genes Simply put, each sex is acting according to their evolutionary imperatives
