The presentation of this information is flawed. But there is another, partially told story here. Only 20% of men are worthy of 100% of women. These men should be donating to sperm banks so women don’t have to reproduce with unsuitable men. The entire social structure of dating , marriage, property ownership, government control, money etc achieves one thing. It gives men unworthy of breeding the power to force women or con women into bearing their offspring. We shouldn’t be competing for those li…

It’s always worse than you think possible. I have good friends from high school, old boyfriends etc. Guess what happened when they or I got into a relationship? We distanced our friendship & wished each other well. Why because that’s what you do to have healthy relationships with someone you had a pleasant history with. Be happy for them, enjoy the Christmas cards, fb posts and nothing more.

Men waste money on frivolous stuff more than women. Just dive into the coffee subreddit. Tell anyone that they don’t need to spend $300 on a bean grinder and watch the down votes sink your comments into oblivion.

Feminist theorists have been trying to get everyone especially women to look at childbirth from this financial perspective for decades. This is a pragmatic look at the actual cost to her. I don’t agree with the math on the first 6 months as that is also a cost that should be split according to their agreement. But other than that, she is right to do this. He is “turned off” by the reality that she takes a huge loss to give birth to his child. What did he think? That this was easy or fun? That sh…

My daughters victims advocate gave her this book. I’m glad you are reading it.

Do they care how many women are celibate bc they gave up navigating the vast ocean of zero value men? They have unmet needs too. Well, maybe UMET, but perhaps undermet. 😆

Given that we are aggressively pursued from the minute we begin to show signs of puberty, I think it’s pretty difficult to expect girls and young women to even have a chance. We need to be teaching girls this stuff before they even have interest in males. The problem is girls won’t internalize it until after their interest develops. Back when I wasn’t interested in boys and thought the whole idea of marriage and babies sounded disgusting, telling me to watch out for men’s tricks was in one ear a…

I have never seen any stats on this but both of my ex husbands did this to me and both were a big settle on a lot of things. By the time I pulled myself out of this, my life was permanently altered. Any information readily available is welcome. It’s surprising to me just how much of this was unavailable before wide use of the internet.

She needs to save the evidence, give it to the police, get a lawyer & begin divorcing him aggressively, ruthlessly and immediately.

I enjoyed reading this one very much. Everyone who gets married should get a very good prenup. I love how his prenup ended up protecting her from his gambling addiction. He didn’t take long to take off his mask once he saw her finances. What a loser thing to expect her to support him so he can quit working to gamble. That sounds like a recipe for a very not fun marriage. Is she overreacting? Probably not. What he did is very petty and if her buying an expensive car with cash is all it took then …

My grandmothers told me I had no right to refuse to take advantage of the education opportunities available to me because they didn’t have those opportunities. I took this to heart. Their words helped me when I was dating & married to men who told me to quit college and that I didn’t need an education. My sisters husband tried shaming me for getting a bachelors degree as if it was weird or indecent. Fortunately, I already had it when he married my sister. The push back is everywhere. My grandmot…

If my impression was bad it was justifiably so. If that wasn’t enough to keep me away it’s because they worked hard to try to dispel my first impression. I don’t give men a chance anymore bc of that. If they make a bad impression early on, they have zero chance of getting any further.

This is true. This is their bottom line. Whenever we find a way to get away from their awful behavior they find ways to take our escape from us.

🤣 I used to desperately say exactly this to my very cruel lv ex. For them to say that reeks of desperation. They don’t want to be a team. They don’t want to work together or do anything that would contribute to mutual comfort, mutual happiness, mutual respect. They are just paying lip service to exactly what we demand and whine that we are the ones denying the healthy constructs of a mutually beneficial relationship ship. I’m too annoyed to laugh.

Absolutely. I believe this is why the housing market is the way it is, to keep women dependent on men. I used to rent out rooms in my house. It was actually difficult to get female housemates. I still don’t quite know why but one said to me that their family thought it was improper for them to live with other women. Evidently it was perfectly okay for them to live with a boyfriend. Has anyone else encountered this kind of ideal? I would think women would seek out other women for being housemates…

That’s why they are trying to change the laws to push us back into desperation by legally making us dependents again.

This is true. The investment you make in yourself will reward you far more richly than the ones you throw away into a relationship with an ungrateful man.

I don’t know why. My ex was like this. He campaigned for us to get married practically from the instant I agreed to date him. I didn’t want to get married but he worked on me until I gave in. Then he moved my child & I 1,200 miles away and treated us like a burden he was stuck with. He was very vocal about this. I don’t want to delve into it. But along with his abuse & weirdness, he constantly said getting married was the biggest mistake he made & he was stuck with me forever. I was freaked out …

If it’s the same one, I got kicked out of there ages ago for suggesting that their view of women being liberated in dressing any way they choose included women dressing modestly by choice, not force. I didn’t think that was that out there but INSTA ban. Bc wanting to dress modestly to keep unwanted male gaze off my body parts is oppression. (See my eyes rolling out of my head here.) Definitely being run by porn sick men.

This isn’t always true anyway. My mother was very beautiful all her life, looked decades younger than her chronological age, and never overweight a single day of it. That fast metabolism seems to skip a generation. Sad face. The rest of the nice genes still stick to me.

Yeah hopefully in the coming weeks she seriously thinks about divorcing his ass. She’s probably busy being a good neighbor right now. That is a big way to confirm you did the right thing. I’ve lived through destructive tornados & they didn’t come that close to my house. This just chills me to think if she has second guessed herself like so often happens when dumb husband tells her she’s overreacting, they could have been picking glass shards out of their children instead of safe in the basement.

Being independent never left me feeling obligated to go 50/50 or be generous. I know they still make more money, have more disposable income & job security. I still expect a man to prove his worth. The benefit of being independent is that you aren’t DEPENDENT on a man to survive. You have the freedom to not put up with a lot of rubbish that women who have nowhere to go don’t have. You can be independent or you can be stuck with some horrible man that abuses you & controls you. I’m old. So I neve…

Translation: Men are celebrated for having standards for women partners, whether those standards are reasonable or frivolous is irrelevant. Meanwhile women who have any standards are demonized, berated & objectified. It’s a trash publication.

Some of these men are delusional. That’s just so off the charts. One of my exes used to constantly criticize a bump on my eyelid. He asked me if it bothered me. I told him no, only when you ask about it. He was ugly & weird, but a tiny bump on my eyelid ,that you had to be close to my face to see, was like a massive, face-altering feature in his mind. There are just too many of these guys out there.

My view probably goes against FDS, but I think marriage is bad for women more often than not. Women with any assets are targets for long cons. For every man out there willing to lie to you to get you to have sex with him, there are two who will gladly attempt a long con to get their fingers into your bank account, property, retirement fund, and life insurance. Some men will kill for the smallest of life insurance policies. It may seem insignificant to you, but to someone who has nothing and is u…

I have never been the cool girl. I noticed early on when I tried to be one that there were too many sacrifices to my own dignity that had to be made to do that and I just wasn’t willing to do that. I was still a pick me, just not on the large scale that the cool girl is. I had a friend like the one you describe in my late teens & early 20’s. She attached herself to me and another friend so we became close friends. She married young. But she cheated on her husband big time which she denied consta…

I thought all divorces required child support orders for children born to both parents in the marriage? I can understand a single woman not seeking child support to avoid allowing the father to establish parental rights (& responsibilities) but this not an option when one is married to the father or he has been identified as the father. She absolutely should get child support, then let enforcement deal with him as well as documenting his abandonment of the child.

I needed this advice when I was a lot younger for certain. What was available in my teens, 20’s and 30’s was either bad advice or mixed and confusing. I’m new here and don’t comment except for now. But this advice is all realistic and spot on. Mourning is a good way of phrasing how I feel now. So much energy wasted. So much of my own power and peace of mind given away to people and problems that didn’t have to be mine.
