To have a set age under which having a relationship is inappropriate would completely ignore the reality of relationships. If you're in high school, is it horrible to date someone a year younger than you? If I'm 17 and I'm dating a 16 year old, then midway through dating, I turn 18, do I immediately need to break it off?
