2	How will UBI affect the dating scene? The assumption is that UBI will eventually become a necessity as jobs get automated away, yes. Funny you mention Star Trek though, because the federation in Star Trek doesn't use any money. Since everything people need can be replicated, money has become useless. 1	How will UBI affect the dating scene? Interestingly, I've talked to socialists who are against it because they think it prevents the collapse of capitalism. There is support for it from both capitalists & socialists. So just labeling it one or the other isn't going to cut it as a convincing argument against it. If you are against it, fine.
