In the wonky world of gender politics, the relationship between males and females is a zero-sum game, where a male's happiness means a female's unhappiness and vice versa. Hm, maybe they're half-right. I have yet to see any woman who's happy when a man is.

No. People who name the accused before any verdict has been reached should automatically be dismissed as liars. This has to be the norm in society. But unfortunately, when there's even a modicum of a possibility that a female will cry (regardless of whether it's real or not), men will rush to her side and do anything for her out of pure instinct. We have to learn how to block out those kneejerk reactions, and I don't think it's going to take on any time soon.
