Right? Everything is where I left it... everything is where I left it in the old house too I can tell, because I get questions asking me where things are.

This is financial infidelity. Yeah, it can be recovered from, but you need to understand why you did it. Are you in therapy?

He just needs to meet with lawyers, bite the bullet and do it. Yeah, the financials won't be as good as before, but not being depressed and suicidal is an amazing feeling. His wife will do better as well once it is over, she'll probably stop the alcoholism. My STBX drank every night during the bad time we still lived together. As bad as things are now, the time when you still live together after emotional divorce has started is just awful. Just get through it.

I have a kid and I have no problems in paying child support, but to actuals. STBX is asking for a fat one time settlement amount. child support is usually monthly, and adjusted every year as salaries change. spousal support can be lump sum. I want some control for future as she has caused problems with child access. She allows me to meet my kid but as per her convenienve and will never let me be alone with my kid. child support and child access are not related. You can't restrict access if someo…

you'll always forget stuff, and then you'll forget where things are after you've moved. you've just got to be willing to work together to keep moving stuff

A nice lawn is nice to watch. I saw my old lawn this morning and it looked good. I felt jealous.

My diet isn't that bad (although I do consume alot of caffeine and sugar) I gave up sugar when I started exercising a lot... it takes about a month but then you don't miss it... it took me forever to realize I had to give up caffeine. It was only when I started taking escitalopram for anxiety that I finally started going off of caffeine. You definitely have to switch to decaf or green tea or something. Green tea is actually a good choice because it is an anti-inflammatory and helps with pain. Al…

We talk about it all the time. We say we are going to change and we say things are going to be different to turn around just start the same shit all over again. Everytime. She has anger problems, She should take an anger management course. I'm bad at holding to doing what I say I'm going to do. Two steps there, one is reduce the expectations, then do everything you said you are going to do out of the reduced expectations. I don't feel like either of us is all that committed to making it better, …

Yes, constantly Alright, I'm going to address the pain and the anxiety here. Since you've got the combination of both the huge thing you'll need to watch out for is alcohol. Alcohol temporarily helps with anxiety/pain but it makes things so much worse the next day. Once you know the relationship you can really see that a lot of alcoholics struggle with anxiety and pain. I keep a lot on my phone of pain/anxiety days and I try to guess my triggers. Anxiety. Try cutting down on caffeine as much as …

I hear this. Loud noises, commotion, lack of order and structure make me lose my shit. That's anxiety.

It's not a healthy relationship. I feel like I'm still in it because I'll be so overly embarrassed to leave and suffer a divorce again. "Embarrassment" is a stupid reason to stay married. Maybe it's time to do a hard talk with her about what isn't working and give yourself a 2 year commitment to improving it or ending it? "This isn't working but I'm committed to making it better." Meanwhile, get yourself ready to be on the market again. Do some personal development for the relationship skills.

The people you are putting on a show. You could do this, but they are lying. Be authentically yourself, because that is such a rare quality in a post social media world.

It is absolutely a rollercoaster. Be easy on yourself. You'll be ok. Be the person who takes care of you. It'll happen on it's own schedule. Just add a little more order to your life every day. If everywhere you see happy families and couples, then maybe you need to go to the tiddy bar and find some broken people to hang out with. j/k

My new wife and I fight and a lot and I am not confident we are going to make it either. I only made my situation worse my jumping into this second marriage so fast. It's killing me. I'm sorry to hear that. Remember that fighting isn't the problem, it's how you resolve the fights and whether or not either of you have resentment afterwards.

PTSD. From armed service, from abuse...? What are your triggers? Have you been introduced to CBT or exposure therapy from what little help you've had so far?

A lot of mental health is your mind is getting captured on something and you have to replace a negative capture with a positive capture. An example is for a lot of addictions they replace the addiction capture with as 12 step program (which is really religion). If you're mindful about this you can sometimes figure out what doesn't work for your life and shift it into something that does work for your life.

New wife and I do therapy, but sadly I'm still not comfortable sharing my feelings from the old relationship with her. Causes too much pain in her. Feeling truly lost right now. I suggest making some friends who are going through separation. DivorceCares, even better men's groups in your area, or meetup.com divorce groups. I agree that bringing it up with your wife isn't the best choice. I'm in the phase where I might be starting a transitional relationship with someone also going through separa…
