Thanks for the descriptive title. For those who are curious it's "IAMA Single Dad going to court tomorrow to win custody of my two kids from their deadbeat mom. AMA"

But therein lies the rub- how do you bring it up early without being a turn off?

" then maybe shes simply not the girl you are looking for." I hear this a lot. If I was asking /MR/ Dear Men's Rights, how do I be alone the rest of my life? Your answer would be perfect. Girls around here take a lot of energy to nab, it's not like I can just turn down ones who think this is normal.

But here's the thing- let's say I just pay for a date or two until I can ease them into the new way of thinking.. How many dates do I pay for? Because one or two dates is average for trying to get to know somebody that maybe won't work out... so I meet 6 or 7 people during the course of my dating life recently, go on one or two dates with each.. .pay for 14 dates with no joy- how is this resolving the issue?

I'm 26 in the Boston area, and I have never met a girl who doesn't use that as a factor when they judge character.

... So I'm 26, and not new to the dating game. Only new to men's rights.

One of my throwaway accounts has become an SRS lightning rod. Although I post things that the subreddit communities enjoy (I regularly get at least 200+ votes on my submissions), SRS has been stalking me and has a thread on almost every one of my posts. We learned the best way to get rid of them is to ignore them. Drawing attention to them only gives them what they want- validation and reaction.

As somebody who enjoys reading pkathiest's posts, it's obvious you're trolling. Nobody mistakes his posts for emotional or reactive. He's one of the more level-headed contributors to seddit. Take it down a notch.

I've got you RES tagged as "My favorite troll." You do compliment sandwhiches, really brings out the art.

If you're going to troll, at least read the post. They tracked him down.

Seriously, this. I have similar conversations. It's not that unheard of.

How dare he advertise his blog when he puts this much effort into his posts.

In another subreddit I was talking about my experience of getting shut down by a girl at a party while we were both really drunk. The responses were astounding. "Really? While she was really drunk? That's borderline rape." I was like.. what? We didn't even touch...

Equal rights for men and women! Just not the gingers!

The only part upsetting me is the stolen electricity. IF you're selling weed, there's gotta be enough money in it to pay for the electric!

Some women bring quite a bit to the table. FTFY

I have to agree here. There are obviously women who buck the trend. And it gives me hope for a better future. But I've been on somewhere close to 25 dates in the past two years, and what I'm reading here really echos my personal experience too. (Boston area). It's not a fluke.

What I find absurd about the creepy-factor is that I find girls get to a place mentally where they are ok with being "creeped out" by things that aren't creepy. Our society tolerates (or even enables) women to respond to things they don't like with rude disgust. The raised eye-brow "why are you talking to me?" response to a guy chatting with a girl in line for coffee. Sorry for making light conversation while we both wait in line at starbucks. When people chat with me in public, I'm always open …

I disagree that the myth 'everybody should have high standards' should be perpetuated. Frankly, having high standards that don't necessarily match your value level are exactly what these guys are complaining about. Down to earth guys trying to approach you and being rejected because you're waiting for Superman is what engenders this feeling. I've learned from experience, sometimes my standards are too high for the reality of my situation. I adjust and act accordingly.

What do I do for work? Oh, I'm the garbage man. What car do I drive? Garbage Truck. Let her do the walking out.

Oh man, I have this problem SO MUCH. Whether it's when I'm approaching a girl I just met, or dating girls I've known for a while or already had sex with- girls don't converse. There's nothing interesting happening. I have to talk about books I've read or the latest crazy thing I learned on reddit. There's no expectation for them to talk, they don't even realize that they should consider being the other side of a conversation. And then when I do find a girl who wants to talk, it's not a conversat…
