Well this is damn good motivation. I've run a pretty successful bulk over the winter, and I'm pretty sure I've built my abs up well--just gotta shed like 8-10 lbs to see them lol. I've been in decent shape before but I want to be in really really good shape with abs and a v-taper and see if it makes a difference at the pool.

Well shit dude I think that definitely helps, haha. I am 6'1" so I have never felt like a short guy but I fully believe I don't have access to a certain segment of the female population. Being 6'5" and built will put you in an extremely elite category.

Even those American numbers look really good compared to what I've read about on reddit. I've never tried Tinder or any other apps, but I read horror stories all the time about how fruitless it is. Guys who get 500 matches and never even meet up with a girl. Maybe those guys are just ugly/terrible at it though.

There's a whole scene in one of Louis CK's shows about this. Fair enough, I'm just making the point that the legal sector, in general, is an incredibly competitive field. Most people who end up as the small town estate lawyers are there because they lost out at the chances of a better job, not because they're looking for an easy ride. Even then, it's not exactly a walk in the park--the competition doesn't really end. People don't go into the legal profession because they shy away from competition, that's absurd.

Of course there are less competitive sectors, but you could easily say the same about STEM. Also, in house counsel gets extremely competitive as well. It's probably the most popular exit strategy for biglaw associates. I think a lot of women graduate law school and then decide not to practice and my suspicion is that it's due to the competition and workload required--but I don't really know for sure.
