I'm not sure how you concluded that, considering: Stephanie gets so ridiciously, uncontrollably drunk, she ends up blacking out, vomiting, and shitting her pants. First off I just want to clarify that so far I'm only scrutinizing OP's account of the story, since, other than the victim (who doesn't remember fully), he's the only one with actual details of the event as it happened. It doesn't matter who initiated it. She couldn't consent, therefore sex with her is rape, initiated or not. It doesn't matter why she said "we shouldn't do this". If that scenario happens, what do you think is a more likely response: "This was a tragic accident," or "maybe they should've thought about being hit by a bus before they got drunk?" Nope, you don't "sober up" enough to consent the same night you get blackout drunk. Also, "OP was drunk as well" doesn't hold up when the OP can recount the entire night (enough to convince you it wasn't rape, apparently) while the victim "didn't remember, was having flashes of it the next day."
