I very very much the same way. I've got a base level of confidence, though it's not as high as yours. I talk to people, especially girls, all over the place, but not always "approaching." And yet, I'm depressed as fuck, and pills ain't doing it. I'm not sure they ever will. Hard to climb out of this pit, ya know? Having said that, I think confidence in oneself is a key, if not the key. If you're not convinced you're a great catch, then it'll be hard for someone else to think you are. A friend of…

Dablac might be referring to shit like "Sometimes I want to kill myself, and even plan how I'd do it." or "Sometimes I see people, and I just have the urge to beat/kill/rape them." Some serious shit, to be sure, but things you might not tell a therapist who has to report any potential threat to yourself or others up the chain. Even if you have no currently plans to follow through on them. Source: A friend of mine was seriously depressed and held back from his therapist

I thought my reply that "Being an introvert doesn't have to mean being permanently shy." was helpful and not "shaming the OP." Hrmph.

I know one. He's atypical, but he (and others like him) exist. People who love to be around others, and be out and about, but while they doing it they're quiet and not the center of attention. They're people-people, and get increased energy from being around others, but they're not the typical loudmouth extroverts.

You're confusing shyness and introversion. You're describing shyness. I know plenty of introverts who can go out, be social, talk to people, and then go home and recuperate in a quiet room by themselves and read a book. This kind of explains it, but I'll look for better: http://giftedkids.about.com/od/glossary/g/introvert.htm . tl;dr: You're shy, and that's ok, but it doesn't have to be a defining, immutable character trait.

I would imagine that this is an example of why people need an "abundance mentality" that is so often mentioned here. Of course this girl likes you and is sending out IOIs. Lots of girls will like you. There's 160,000,000 women in this country. If this girl is a negative pain in the ass, then move onto the next girl that will like you.

It's funny, here I was thinking that most of Seddit was 16-24, and that this post might be for those who are 30 - 35. Once we're getting too old to be in the clubs.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
