A lot of men are jerks - self-centered, egotistical, show-offs who think women exist to support and please. This thinking still is pervasive, even with the tide starting to change. In this case, the bird that would possibly sing a sweet little song to try to serenade a partner was forced out by the macho bro bird, who aggressively scared the female bird into sex by appearing to be a black hole looking to engulf her existence into singularity.
