Isn't 4 hours still incredibly much? I'd say 30 minutes before sleeping and 30 minutes after waking up, + a total of 1 hour sprinkled in through the day during short breaks would be ideal

Working for yourself is the best, but there is nothing wrong with having a regular job either. In many industries you first have to learn your stuff and get a good network before founding a company is worth it. Losing all your wealth because you rushed creating a company without having any skills would be stupid.

Are these extracurricular activities not in the evening for you? For example, I have a club meeting once every week at 19:00, which means the earliest time I could possibly be home would be 21:00 and then I'd still have to cook and eat.

I don't get it either. In most jobs you work with other people, so at best you can be there at 8 in order to answer emails and prepare stuff so that you can start with the calls/meetings etc. at 9. And what if you have to work late and go to the gym after that? Or you go out to a networking meeting? If you come home at ~22-23 and still have to eat there is no way you will get anywhere near the ideal amount of sleep while constantly waking up at 4:00 or something like that.

You might simply not have the time and/or energy to manage every single one of those blind spots yourself. You have a completely shitty sense of fashion? Let someone else pick your clothes. You have no idea how to do your taxes? Hire a tax person. You want to build a house? You damn well won't be doing that by yourself.

Exactly! There is no problem with playing games for a few hours if you have literally nothing to do. It's probably better for you than going out drinking (most of the time). However, if you always fall into that trap where you play until 3 AM and thus wake up at 12 and do nothing all day, you might wanna stop playing.
