I am a woman and these are my friend friends! They are really nice and we have a lot of fun hanging out but are pretty much nonexistent/out of the way when things get tough for me. I would say that I do go out of my way to check up multiple times or even go to their houses when things happen to them, but I also haven’t thought about it too much so maybe I think I’m more supportive than I actually am. Also I don’t specifically ask for comfort either, but I do feel like they could try just a bit h…

I agree that women have much better social support than men, but I would also like to add that in my experience that support tends to be very shallow. Not saying that it’s there for show, but it does tend to be very short lived. I’ve never had anyone stay with me through my depression, checking up on me through my worst moments, etc. it’s usually just one good conversation or “ if you need anything I’m here” and then nothing until your okay again. Then again people have their own lives and I can…

I see this conversation a lot with single moms and teen moms on the internet but I've never seen them idolized in real life. They are judged or just not noticed. They have a negative stigma. Of course some people acknowledge it's a hard job and takes a lot of sacrifice but I wouldn't go as far to say they're idolized or favored in any way. I've certainly seen single moms be the brunt of many jokes for no reason. I've never met anyone who was a single mom by choice or wanted to be.

Coming from someone who was pumped and dumped it was absolutely not forgettable. That was about 4 years ago and it still makes me feel terrible remembering it. Deceiving people purposely for your benefit will never be a good thing, especially when it involves emotional intimacy and someone's body. It is definitely not an equal exchange and can certainly leaving long lasting emotional damage, self-esteem issues, and regret for being vulnerable in front of someone who only wanted to take advantage…

Agreed. Exposing the most intimate parts of yourself emotionally and physically that can either be painful or rewarding in the end, maybe even both. The consequences are very different for men and women (99% of the time).

Okay it sounds like you just want to understand her perspective based on your replies so I have a few points from my personal experience and experience of other women around me. Personally, I find a relationship way more fulfilling when I can be sure that sex isn't always necessary. I grew up around guys that would normalize having sex for fun, but an unfortunate side effect is that they way they talk about women is.. questionable, and there was often a lack of respect for her privacy plus the g…

I mean you can be direct and not be creepy... saying "hey, before things go any further I want to make it clear that I just want something causal" Is way different than saying "let's fuck", dont you think? Now no one is being lied too and deceived for selfish reasons, yay!

Nope. I'm shy, so naturally I need someone who speaks their mind more to get me out of my shell. I'm also into skinny guys with skinny legs and I have shapely legs while being chubby in the upper half to be honest.

I'm a very horny female. I masturbate pretty much every night. I choose not to have sex with men because while it's hot in the moment there's usually no respect outside of the moment. I've over heard many conversations in my life time of men shaming the same woman they had sex with, rumours being spread, the girl being seen as less than and not worthy of a relationship, and I have seen it absolutely ruin girls mental health. All possible with men, but not so drastic. I've been with 2 people, the…

If you say it in a normal way then nope. Be charming, but let it be known you want nothing serious from the get go or when you get a chance. What's more insulting is being led on. I'm not even into hookups but I will always respect someone who's direct way more than someone who plays it like they want more, even if it makes me feel a little icky.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
