Seriously, you fucking dummy. She's trying to talk to him like an adult, he should talk back, if it gets out of control, go ahead, excuse yourself. But using words to try to solve problems is an ability unique to humans that happens to have raised us above all other species. Anyway goingfullrambo, follow this guy's advice and enjoy your divorce and estrangement from your kids!

You know, it's always a bit of a pleasure to see someone who's been through bad shit handle it intelligently. To come out knowing themselves and being able to be functional. Then being aware of how you've handled it and being able to express it in such a lucid way? That takes it to a whole new level. Good on you. I too have had a bit of trauma (long story, that, let's just say I was sent away at an impressionable age to an intense place where nobody had my back - not nearly as bad as your own pa…

Hmmm. Sounds like you've had some interesting experiences. "I always see it as their fault that I'm lying to them." Why do they need to not judge you? Why do you need their approval or acceptance? Why not just be you and "fuck it" if they don't like you? "I openly tell people I'm a manipulative liar." I think that's pretty cool. "The most common reply from women is "me too!" I seriously doubt that hahahaha, but ok. I mean, the women you're talking to could well be manipulative liars, but I doubt…

I think people use the word manipulation in a situation in which they themselves had thought they were in that position or only justify it when they do it. I think its a fairly normal view for people to assume any power others have over themselves is manipulative, regardless of the outcome or specifics. In fact I think if you even hit one of those components people will call manipulation Huh, that is an interesting thought. Yes, I agree, people often label any power that another individual has o…

The way I see it, the definition has three components: to exert control or influence, by unfair or insidious means, for one's own benefit. Social influence includes the first and the third (influence and benefit), but not necessarily the unfair or insidious means. And I would actually add a fourth component, based on the way people commonly use the word manipulation- and that's that while the manipulator gets an outcome to their own advantage, the outcome does NOT benefit the manipulated, and th…

It seems this argument has come down to semantics. Here's the definition I was using: b : to control or play upon by artful, unfair, or insidious means especially to one's own advantage from Merriam-Webster. But it appears that BearSaint has a beary different, beary special definition: Every social interaction is a series of manipulation. So I guess if we're operating under his definition, I agree with him? I don't think there's anything wrong with social interaction, so... And GermanEgo, your d…

Nah, I'm pretty sure I understood it. I think you just don't like my answer, which is that you would hate living in a place where everyone thought like you, but you have had the luxury of being sheltered from all that.

I see people complaining about thieves, as if that's a bad thing. Or people who lie to you and take your money, and somehow that's bad. You're wrong. Stealing isn't good or bad, it's just the default inescapable human social behavior... No it's not. Have you ever lived/traveled in a place with a bunch of thieves? It sucks. My guess is that you live in middle class America, or comparable Canada, where some people steal but generally you can leave a bike in the yard or your bag on a table at Starb…

Jesus Christ, Willow, you're a lot more patient than I would be with this guy hahahaha. Also you sound awesome. It's been a pleasure reading these comments. I mean, yours were a pleasure, they made sense, and they were respectful. Mr. Christ on the other hand...

Of course women seek men who have "more value." Don't you seek women of "more value"? Whether she stays or leaves after a guy of "more value" shows interest in her has to do with how deeply you've connected and how much goodness you've shown her and whether her life is better or worse because you're in it. I find it so stupid how red pill guys toss around the word hypergamy as if it's only a female phenomena. People leave their partner when they find someone better, particularly if their partner…
