I have a suspicion this is why the man tried this, he probably figured it was a hail Mary attempt to weasel out of justice by becoming a protected class. I'm honestly amazed the alphabet soup brigade didn't make this an issue.

The key take away, “My personal choices and priorities aren’t why I’m unhappy, it’s the Patriarchy!” Personal accountability, responsibility, and consequences are foreign to these people when their lifestyle isn’t everything they dreamed of, it must be someone else’s fault they are unsatisfied with life.

The set up to the man's joke was the woman's joke, "You can tell Apple is run by men..." I feel at this point you're just being obtuse or your genuinely don't understand how humor works. No one is calling you a whiteknight because it's an opposing view, it's because you are defending a woman's joke, which no matter how you frame it isn't witty, it's a dick joke for fucks sake, as the height of comedy when it's far funnier to have a weak joke subverted and turned around on the teller regardless o…

Woman's joke, generalize all men as being insecure about genitals, man's joke generalizes all women as being unable to effectively run a corporation. I've seen women start throwing around allegations of sexual harassment/discrimination at the drop of a hat over the stupidest shit. One that stands out is when a woman started accusing people of sexual discrimination because she missed a group photo, one of many group photos taken that day, while she was in the bathroom.

I think the whole A Wrinkle in Time wasn't made for white dudes thing is bullshit. I enjoyed the book as a kid, the forced it's a movie for young women of color that's why men hate it crap because of the casting was absurd. The book wasn't about any of that, so when you say that a movie based on a book is now supposed to represent a young woman of color only, completely different than the book you will lose your audience, and people will not watch it or rate it highly.

I initially was against the idea, mostly because I was told special accommodations had to be made, like having a female co-leader for any den with a girl scout, potentially pushing out some of the male leaders. And even if anyone doesn't like the idea, there's nothing wrong with not liking it. I'm fully for organizations that are exclusively male or female. The woman's actions are what stood out because it seems she just wanted to rile people up and play victim, hero or both in the situation. On…

/r/PussyPassDenied11/10/18 08:24 PM

A little girl joined my youngest son's Scout pack. The girl's mother went on to the pack's Facebook page and announced that her daughter had joined and that she hoped no one had a problem with it. No one did and people welcomed her. The little girl attended one meeting, and the mother very loudly asked if anyone had a problem with her daughter joining, again no one did. The mother pulled the little girl out of Scouts the next week.

The intent is not to resolve an issue, it's to get free shit. If they get out of the line they lose the only leverage they have, impeding service to actual paying customers. They are essentially human ransomware.
/r/PussyPassDenied08/06/18 06:35 PM

I've seen women do this shit when I worked a 9 to 5 job and took lunch at the same time every day, at drive-thru windows during the lunch rush they'd hold the line hostage, it's easier for the manager to give in and give free food than lose all the actual customers. I've seen the same woman do it multiple times, she had a bunch of recognizable stickers on the rear of her car. She'd act like she ordered food there the day before that was bad, lost the receipt and refuses to pull away from the win…

Well, I'm going by what the Cub Scout pack leader has told the members parents of the pack, and it's that there MUST be at least one female leader in a Den if there is a female scout. The local council has decided to be one of the early adopters, before the fall nationwide deadline. They aren't going to make separate dens for one or two girls who may join the pack. From what I understand the Boy Scouts will have a whole other mess, with female scouts being called something other than Boy Scouts …

My boys belong to Cub Scouts and they are being forced to accept girls now. This brings the additional burden that all dens be required to have a female leader, even if there is already a man den leader because apparently, men are too dangerous to allow around girls.

It shows how fragile her ego was, I've met a lot of snowflakes both men and women, and some people are dumb to take offense from a well meaning gesture. What's truly fragile are who believe in some ideology that assumes all men who take the time to point out a mistake or correct a falsehood do it to assert superiority or demean women, they mistake or intentionally take a common courtesy for insult.

I didn't put up with it, I stood my ground explaining that I was just trying to do her a favor. It was surreal how she just kept escalating the situation over someone trying to help her out. It did eventually degenerate into a name calling, raised voice argument. I tried telling my wife's friend that she was parked on the wrong side of the street once. Have you ever watched the South Park episode with Al Gore trying to convince everyone the imaginary ManBearPig is the cause of all their problems? Their train of thought is disturbingly similar, their attempts to connect a fabricated problem as the cause of all lifes woes, lacking or contradicting all evidence. I believe the reason they do this is because they need attention focused on them, and if it's not they'll attempt to inject themselves into any situation where the spotlight lies.
