I've had that a couple times in my life and they were pretty honest they knew they were going to ruin my life. I'm 6'2 it's probably 20X easier for me to get a bag down for someone who is 5'2 than them do it themselves, and it doesn't inconvenience me one bit as I'm waiting for others to deplane anyway. I have no problem helping and feel good doing it (innate instinct of being a man). It's not that big of a deal to me. Not doing it would cause me more time and energy thinking about than I ever want to spend on a woman.

I'm an introvert too. I promise you there are people out there who see the world the same way you do, probably more than you think. If you aren't happy then you should try to shake it up, that's why I suggested moving. A little humbleness never hurts either.
