Good post. Always be asking yourself, 'Am I producing, or am I consuming?' And if I'm consuming, am I investing? E.g. Am I consuming something (knowledge, for example) to use for more effective production later.

She might have been already interested in you, and "Why?" was a shit test. She might have even meant it playfully, though that wouldn't come through over text. "Good answer" leads me to believe it was a shit test. In any event, you passed. But, particularly if it was a playful shit test (e.g. she was being bratty), and she was already interested, the bar was probably pretty low. It's possible she would have accepted any reason you gave that merely didn't come off as needy.

Keep in mind Chelsea's late night show just ended, and she is currently developing new projects. As such, she wants to keep herself in the news and relevant. This is one part quasi-thoughtful cultural commentary and two or more parts PR stunt. As such I'm not sure the content is worth engaging with at all.

I agree, he's not properly pro-RP. But looking for mainstream and academic sources, if you can find people who are at least not anti-RP or pro-PB, then you've done well. As you probably know already, Harris is well-versed in evolutionary psychology, and he's not at all into political correctness (see his ongoing criticisms of Islam). That puts him in the ballpark, at least.

Evolutionary psychology (in my experience, and I am an academic) is the best place for this stuff. I can't think of anything overtly 'pro-masculine' at the moment, but there is plenty of that sentiment intermingled throughout discussions of related topics. Check out people like Gad Saad (he was on Joe Rogan's podcast a few months ago), Steven Pinker (Pinker's The Blank Slate is a good place to start for academic criticism of feminism), and perhaps Sam Harris. If you have access to academic datab…

As a guy who did this quite a bit in the past, this is what I think would have been best for me (though of course not what I would've wanted at the time). And this is frankly more than you need to do. It goes slightly beyond just getting rid of them and tries to help them become more socially savvy (which hopefully will keep them off your back). Also, I'm assuming these are guys you hang out with person from time to time. If this is almost all texts, then shit, just stop answering. Unfortunately…

A few different thoughts on this... First: Video text states that she was harassed by members of all types. But it's quite obvious that the overwhelming majority of the comments came from black men. If this particular form of 'harassment' is an issue, then it's not an issue with all men, it's an issue with urban black men. Second: Harassment is certainly a strong term. With a couple of exceptions (namely the guys that followed her and kept talking when she clearly wasn't interested, more on that…

It looks like fairly standard PUA stuff. The subway isn't that much different from anywhere else you might meet someone during the day. You just have to get over the stigma that in the subway, and particularly in the NYC subway, people are really, really not interested in talking or meeting new people. And of course, always be closing. Interestingly, the he notes that he often meets women from other places with strange accents. That probably plays a big part of his success. Many tourists are hap…

Don't worry too much about your looks or your height. You can't change them anyway, so it is no use worrying about them. And more importantly, as others have said, what matters more than your inherent looks is how in-shape you are. Briefly, burn off the fat and replace it with muscle. If you can afford it, in addition to your weight loss / lifting routine, take up a martial art. I suggest Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It's particularly suited for smaller guys, as a skilled Jiu Jitsu practitioner will hav…

The general rule: Except for extreme, edge cases, there's not ever going to be anything about your apartment that will make a girl want to go there (especially while on a date) if she isn't already into you. But if she is into you, then any excuse will do. She just needs plausible deniability for herself, so she does not feel like a slut. Hence the classic 'etchings' euphemism. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etching#.22Etchings.22_euphemism

If the guys are more to the alpha end of the spectrum (at least in the context of that particular situation with that particular girl) or they are game savvy, then it's best to act friendly and cooperative toward the guys - as jamieoneal82 noted - and let the girl(s) observe how great you are as you engage and, ideally, show yourself to be a leader of other men. On the other hand, if the guys are more toward the beta end of the spectrum, and the girl is not otherwise making a conscious effort to…

This isn't all that unethical, but it's simple and it works... Ask someone to do you a favor. Most people, most of the time, try to be helpful and nice to acquaintances and new people (provided that the new person has not immediately demonstrated themselves to be low-value, needy, a social liability, etc.). I could be wrong, but I think this is how it works: People are nice by default because they don't want to appear to themselves or others to be selfish. Moreover, before you know a person well…
