So, in your opinion if you have a child, whether you put it up for adoption or not you still have to be in the child's life?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 08:13 PM
1

So, as long as something can't be undone it wasn't a mistake???
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 08:09 PM
1

Some human beings are certainly mistakes, what? Are you going to sit here and argue that every pregnancy in history was planned?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 08:03 PM
1

So you'd be perfectly ok with a mistake you made when you were 19 resurfacing to ruin your life? It's only fair, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 07:48 PM
1

That is not why the OP on that thread made that comment and you know it. That person was just trying to get some revenge for being rejected. The dad responded and told the OP he didn't want to be in OPs life. That is acknowledgement, just rejection.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 07:44 PM
1

But that's exactly what adoption is though? It's a legal avenue for parents to not have to be in the kid's life.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 07:31 PM
1

Do you think the entire adoption system should be abolished? Should all parents be forced to raise kids regardless of financial/mental capabailities?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 07:27 PM
1

Because kids (the parents when they had OP) make mistakes. They did the right thing by giving the kid up for adoption and shouldn't be forced to have their lives ruined over a mistake they made almost 2 decades ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 07:15 PM
2

Check out the link the OP posted in the other comment chain, it makes more sense with context.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 06:38 PM
1

Definitely agree that the OP is at fault there. They shouldn't be circumventing the parents wishes by getting involved with the rest of the family, especially not the way that OP did it, that was super fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 06:35 PM

No idea, not sure what this subs rules are for linking other subreddits.

I'm having a hard time following what you're saying. There's a lot of pronouns and different parties involved in the scenario you're referencing and I'm not sure who everyone is in your example. Maybe you should summarize the entire post you're referring to in your OP?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 06:26 PM

I'm not advocating that men should be able to choose whether or not a child is aborted. I'm advocating that if the father doesn't want the kid and the mother does, he should have the legal option to sign away any responsibilities to the child.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 06:20 PM
0

I think the biological family has the right not to want anything to do with the kid. I also think fathers should have the right to opt out of a kids life if he so chooses. Unfortunately in the realm of children and custody, women's desires trump whatever the father wants, she has sole control over his decision.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 06:14 PM
1

What's your opinion on an adopted/fostered child coming back to reach out to the family against the bio-parents wishes? Can you explain this? The biological parents that gave up the kid want to prevent the kid from reaching out to the adopted family? How does that work? This seems backwards?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 06:05 PM

If looking older isn't a bad thing then people saying you look younger shouldn't generally be a compliment and you should therefore have felt no need to qualify your previous statement by saying "Im not bragging by any means" when noting people mistake you for looking younger. If looking older isn't bad then women shouldn't have any reason to be defensive about men preferring younger women, and should have no problem with people telling them they look their age.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 04:50 PM
2

A couple things here: Part of this is confirmation bias. You're only acknowledging the few people who do think you may look younger than you are. Some of these people might just be being polite. No one is going to tell a woman "wow, you sure look 33." Because that's a big ole faux paus. For argument's sake, let's say you're one of the rare ones and you actually look 22. If I had to choose between you at 22 and you at 33, I'd choose 22 every time, no question. If I date someone younger I have a m…

Lived in Los Angeles for 25 years, never had this problem. I always felt people looked their age.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 03:20 PM
5

You can visibly see the differences between people in their 30s versus their early 20s, the difference is obvious. Are there some people who could pass as much younger? Absolutely. But they are rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 03:02 PM
3

If I wanted kids, yes. If I didn't want kids, no.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 02:41 PM
11

There are almost no women in their 30s that pass for early 20s. Additionally, younger women typically have a better attitude towards men, they are much less likely to be bitter and angry.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/20 02:35 PM
3

So are you conceding that having unrealistically high standards is an inherently feminine trait?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/20 05:07 PM
6

This just sounds like another take on "he's not man enough for me." Which is what fat women say when a hot guy rejects them.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/20 05:04 PM
11

What? How? I can't even see the connection here.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/20 04:59 PM
15

Wait, so being attracted to hot women is feminine? Can you walk me through that one? Does that mean that women who only go for the top 20% of guys are somehow masculine? Are you then conceding that having unrealistic expectations is an inherently feminine trait?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/20 04:55 PM
1

Happiness and good are subjective. If you can understand women's sexuality and hypergamy and be happy about living that life I guess so? Seems pretty unrealistic though.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/20 12:07 PM

No one loves anyone for who they are. That's just idealism. People love people for what they receive from each other. Women provide sex so men love them for their bodies/sex. Women don't love men for who they are, they love them because they provide. Neither side is wrong, it's just how the world works.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/20 03:21 AM
2

Ya we should just tell all these men to become the greatest swimmer of all time, or world famous actors. Then they'll have a chance!
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/20 04:24 PM
2

I would feel nothing because I wouldn't know. Just like you feel nothing about the things you don't know happened to you in the past. It doesn't make it right, but claiming something someone doesn't know has an explicit effect on society is just strange. Your premise assumes that I know, which of course effects the way I feel. But my premise is that someone does not know.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 08:41 PM
3

I'm not advocating for it. I'm just explaining what I see. I agree with you 100%.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 04:52 PM

If you don't want children what benefit are men getting from commitment? Every time I see women comment about what they bring to the relationship besides sex it's always things like "emotional support" but if you ask men what their experiences have been being emotionally vulnerable with women it's always some situation where he opened up, she immediately became uninterested in him, and quickly after broke up with him. Commitment doesn't seem to benefit men outside of wanting children.

If you don't know you're being manipulated how would it have any effect on anything?

/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 03:52 PM

"Society" as a system is apathetic to who's fault it is. Clueless men raising another man's kid is better than the alternative to society. I don't think it's right based off of my own morals, but that's unfortunately irrelevant to what's "good" for our society as a whole.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 03:43 PM
9

"Society" would probably be worse off because there would end up being more single-parent families. But men would probably be better off knowing their wife cheated. My brother in law actually found out his oldest wasn't even his (from his ex before my sister). Turns out the mom knew the entire time but didn't want to raise a kid on her own so she never told him until the daughter took one of those 23&me tests and found out on accident.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 03:19 PM

Ya and most marriages and relationships are fucking awful. If you aren't the best you shouldn't even bother because it's just a recipe for disaster. There is no satisfaction in just being settled for as some woman's ATM after she's had her fun. If a man is not the kind of guy who women have fun with in their youth there is no reason to even try.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 12:14 PM
5

Why would someone waste their life trying to attain something they will never achieve? I have better odds of winning a gold medal at the olympics than waking up with better genes. I for one would end up 10x more depressed wasting my life trying to attain something only meant for those who got luckier. Instead it's better to just ignore it and try to find happiness elsewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 11:02 AM
1

We're talking about two different things now. My entire premise was that the guy was putting in all the effort to get sex and then changed his mind on when he realized it wasn't worth nearly what he initially thought. New pussy was worth a lot to this guy, so he had no problem putting in the effort for it. Once he got it he realized it wasn't worth it and decided to stop all the extra effort. That's just someone changing their mind, nothing manipulative about it, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/20 01:32 AM
1

Wow. Do you realize how manipulative and heartless this is? Their sex gets them commitment because it misleads men into thinking they want more than commitment. Then it turns out, commitment is all they want. The sex the man thought they shared wasn't real, and the physical intimacy they thought they had was one sided by design. The so called "price" the woman paid for commitment was the trouble they went through to carry out their sexual shams. How do you see the woman as the victims? The men g…

Men in semi-professional to professional work environments are already expected to dress nice and not be gross. This doesn't mean they will magically be more attractive to women. Doesn't matter what a short, balding, asymmetrical man wears to work, it isn't going to make women want to fuck him. A mistake women make is assuming men will see the same results of grooming that women do. Women have a base attractive level that is much, much higher than men. As long as a women isn't obese, disfigured,…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 09:04 PM

I think a lot of guys just realize the futility of even trying. A natural 3 could bust his ass for years only to end up as a 5 or 6. Why even bother if he doesnt have the natural genes that are the most important (height, bone structure, etc.)?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 08:47 PM
18

Women should speak that way, I'd prefer it if women cut the bullshit and just said what they really mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 06:58 PM
2

Most guys do, most guys shouldn't, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 06:17 PM
2

I actually agree with this. Women can't and shouldn't be expected to perform or exert effort, it's not in their nature. I just wish more men would wake up and realize the dancing monkey act isn't worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 06:08 PM
16

Fair enough. And the entire relationship will spiral into a self-sustaining resentment trap. This is why people shouldn't get married. Expectations are too high on both sides, although I'll concede it's probably the man's fault at the beginning for giving too much too soon and giving her a false sense of her own value which starts the entire cycle.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 05:58 PM
5

Because the effort difference between continuing to romance and do all the shot women want is limitless; whereas sex for women is basically just showing up. One is a sliding scale where different degrees of romance and whatever other bullshit women expect men to do can be attained. Sex is zero sum, either it happens or it doesnt.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 05:49 PM
3

You're treating effort like it's some sort of black or white, on or off switch. If the guy doesn't maintain 110% at all times, he shouldn't even expect 10% from his partner. How does that make sense?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 05:05 PM
10

It's perfectly fair. If someone isn't worth the effort then don't do it. People complain because their partner still overvalues what they bring to the table.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:59 PM
11

Ya and if someone wants $10,000 from me but I only want $500 from them I'd sure as hell complain too. Men put the pussy on a pedestal thinking it was going to be this amazing life-changing experience. And when it's not he tries to readjust expectations to match the value of what he's getting.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:53 PM
12

It's not losing interest, it's just adjusting the effort expended to match the value proposition. If he lost interest he wouldn't want sex at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:50 PM
21

How is it hypocritical? The price of sex with her was all that effort. When he finally got it, he realized he should have never paid that much. What is hypocritical about that?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:47 PM
25

This is like asking why someone is upset about paying $50 for McDonalds, but will happily eat it for $5.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:42 PM
54

Probably because after that new pussy high wears off they realize she ain't worth all that effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:40 PM
1

That isn't the reason though. Even if the women outnumbered men the 80/20 rule would still exist and it would still be shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:32 PM
10

What commitment power? You mean from the top 20% of guys?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 04:16 PM
3

Lmao, unless they're physically deformed or severely disabled all they have to do is exist in a bar for an hour and they could get laid easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/20 11:16 AM
3

100%. Every women in here will say they hate it, but I guarantee if it all stopped tomorrow they would freak out and their self-esteem would plummet.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 09:01 PM
8

How is this men's fault? It's not a man's fault he shows interest in a woman and she turns around and pursues even better looking men than he is.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 08:48 PM
0

How do you even measure that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 08:45 PM
26

Lmao as if unattractive women don't over-estimate their value exactly the same as men. No one wants to date ugly people and no wants to admit they're ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 08:24 PM
6

Why do some men get upset when you tell them that their genetics disqualify them from ever being sexually attractive to a woman? Gee, I wonder.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 05:05 PM
1

LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 11:27 AM
10

Because you'll never even get to the part where personality is relevant unless you're hot to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 11:06 AM
2

Ok, but if the guy gets what he wants out of this situation why is this a problem?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 03:10 AM

What's wrong with that
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/20 01:18 AM

Idk, I still think there's a good amount of social stigma around plastic surgery. Certainly not as much as say 30-40 years ago, but it's still not without some amount of disdain among certain groups (more so things like boob/but jobs than lipo).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/20 07:48 PM
18

I'm surprised South Korea isn't number 1. I always heard it was way more common there and much less socially stigmatized. Maybe it's because they dont need all the liposuction like the US.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/20 07:38 PM
1

Sure, I'd go for it. I wouldn't be offended if women opted for the same either. They don't need to be killed in this thought exercise though, jesus. Just make 2 separate societies.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/20 07:33 PM
3

A little of both, mostly romantic partner though.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 07:03 PM

Again, it's not a lie just because you disagree with the level of risk someone's willing to entertain.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 04:56 PM
1

Thats why people should have STATISTICS. That way, its not based on hyperbole and opinion. Otherwise, it looks like propaganda. I don't think statistics would matter. People's worldviews are shaped by their personal experiences. I'm willing to bet that most men [in America] know at least one other man who has gotten absolutely taken to the cleaners in a divorce. Whether you tell these men it only happens 5% of the time or 10% of the time isn't really going to convince him otherwise. The men who …

Where was I “trying to convince” men to get married? That’s one example of misinformation. . DUH. Right there I guess? Jesus it only took 2 posts for you to backtrack on what you JUST said. What lies are you referring to exactly? That alimony and child support are 'common'? Because your definition of common and someone else's definition of common is probably very different. A woman's risk tolerance for alimony being 'common' is probably way higher to the magnitude of 10x. For example, if stats w…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 03:50 PM

All over this thread you keep spouting how men are spreading misinformation about women/marriage and how you want them to stop. Why would you care about this at all unless you were trying to change the minds of men who you think may have been misinformed?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 03:39 PM
1

What misinformation was in my post? You're injecting some weird message into what I wrote that isn't there just so you can be upset about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/20 03:32 PM
1

So at your age would you rather be with a man who had 100 past sexual partners or 0?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 08:58 PM
5

Low n-count. The women I have slept with were not trashy.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 08:51 PM

This is just a long-winded way of saying you prefer high n-count over low n-count.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 08:44 PM
1

There's a scientific study that gets thrown around here that showed correlation between number of past sexual partners and likelihood of future infidelity. I don't have the source handy, maybe someone else does.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 06:53 PM
6

If the woman finds them gross who am I to tell them how to feel? They're entitled to how it makes them feel just as I am. I'm neutral to other men that have high n counts as I'm not attracted to them to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 06:50 PM
9

Honestly, I don't know how to put it into words and I'm not sure it matters why. They just are. Me knowing why I feel that way isn't going to change the way I feel. It's definitely something evolutionary or deep-seeded as I imagine it is for most men who feel the same as I do.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 06:47 PM
29

I think women are free to judge mens n-count as much as they like. Women with high n counts are gross and if a woman felt the same way about a man with a high n count, so be it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 05:53 PM

If I were to try and pin a single non-physical trait to every single incel it would probably be that they never received any positive attention from a young age from women. They never got anything to learn to be confident about so it caused a negative feedback loop of no confidence -> failure -> no confidence -> failure. I'm not saying every voluntary celibate had a positive feedback loop, but I'd be willing to bet every incel didn't have one.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 05:02 PM

I'm gonna go with positive feedback loops from an early age.

I don't understand why women care about convincing men to get married. They probably wouldn't want to marry these men anyway. Just let them do their own thing, it doesn't effect women. If marriage was so wonderful you wouldn't have to try and convince people to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/20 01:46 PM

I'm having trouble understanding this. Wouldn't you automatically be the best your partner can get if you settle down with someone? Are you saying you'd rather be the person he settled for?

There are always signs. It never comes out of nowhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/20 05:07 PM

Not OP, but hard disagree. If women are the sexual selectors then it's partly her fault for choosing a bad mate. He shouldn't have cheated, but she shouldn't have chose him.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/20 05:01 PM

Absolutely not. I don't like kids so there's already a fundamental incompatibility present. Even if I did I wouldn't want to raise someone else's kid.

In all honesty it's probably actually worse than that. I doubt they can differentiate between bots and active users for this purpose and I have to believe there are more female bot accounts than Male. It might actually be closer to 85/15 or 90/10

How many relationships do you think would last if men lost their jobs for a period of time? Not many. In fact, I'm going to propose that because of coronavirus we'll see divorce rates plummet among relationships where the man stays gainfully employed during the entire thing. Men who do not have full time jobs are 33% more likely to be divorced. Source. Time magazine 2016.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/20 04:41 PM

Yes and how those manifest into the behaviors of men and women. Woman can not possibly respect men when they know and learn that the vast, vast majority of men just want you because you have a wet hole. Just how men can not possibly respect women when the vast, vast majority of women just see men as walking ATMs. This only leads to resentment. People are much better off not even trying to understand the opposite gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/20 04:10 PM

That's basic human empathy, not going down the rabbit hole of learning about what biologically motivates a gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/20 03:54 PM

That's understanding a single person, the premise of this post was learning about the entire gender. That is what builds resentment.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/20 03:53 PM

Understanding to what degree? Sure basic human empathy is attainable, but the finer nuances of gender dynamics? No one completely understands the other gender, its biologically impossible.

Men and women are not built to understand/sympathize with each other and never will. Hormones and other chemical differences will always prevent it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/20 12:51 PM

Why talk about anything ever then? By this logic you could invalidate anything short of scientific law by just pointing to some random outlier or unicorn case. The entire point of this sub is to discuss and debate trends and general social norms.

Except for the fact that you can literally read some women's dating profiles where they show visceral disgust for short men. That's not just no points, that disqualifies the guy despite potentially having other points elsewhere; hence, negative points. Or another way to express this is by different weighted values of points. If you're tall and have a good face the rest are weighted heavier than if you had the others and didnt have the former. Overall the flaw here is expressing this analogy as a…

I think the problem with your analysis is that not having something in those categories translates to negative points in real life, not no points.

Eh, enjoy the decline or something like that. World is already fucked beyond repair, no point in fighting a losing battle, just take what you can get while you're here and hope you don't live long enough to see it all collapse.

Not sure if that was directed at me, but I'm a man. And I don't want kids anyway, fuck this world. I'd never want to be responsible for making someone else have to go through this hell.

Ya and they do now, so they're going to choose what their natural instincts tell them to and no ones ever going to be able to convince them otherwise just for the "good" of society. Even though I dont think society was better back then, just better at hiding the shit.

Are you implying women didn't prefer tall, fit men prior to women's lib?

You can't just reason a society out of evolutionary instincts. No one gives a shit what's better for society, men are still going to prefer curvy, young women and women will still prefer tall, fit men. Nothing will ever change that.
