Woman here (sorry): I think especially in a place like Japan, this should be the norm. Japan is infamous for its harassment in public transport, and many women get groped. I'm in Europe and have only had it happen a dozen or so times in the metro, so I unfortunately don't think the issue is severe enough here for things to change.

As for the manipulative part, I have an example: I can go out with my friends. But if I can go out with my friends, he can go out with his friends. Fair and, imo, perfect! But when he goes out with his friends, he drinks. When he drinks, he cannot control himself. When he can't control himself, he will cheat. So indirectly, through this little path he made: If I go out with my friends, he will cheat. He also used his then-recently deceased mother to lie about what it means to be a good female pa…

I talked about this with some other people before, and we all agreed that we have done it, and would do it in the future. If it's all with consent, it kind of feels like giving a massage. In these cases, the partner also has no suspicion or belief that the other person isn't into it, but that's the consent part, I suppose. While something like this should NEVER be EXPECTED, I still think it is very normal and completely okay.

I'm a unicorn, apparently. Sort of, anyways. I don't really take pictures, nor do I have social media. I hope it still counts. Like others have said: angles are fair game. My ID picture looks morbid and throws me down by a few points, so I get the preference of angles and decent lighting. As for the other stuff... I think most of it is a bit situational as well. Editing out a pimple or two is fine imo since it usually isn't even noticeable to anyone but the person who took the picture, but photo…

As a teen, luck definitely wasn't on my side. Ugly, socially anxious, neurodivergent, bad home life; the works. but WHY do you have to do so much insane levels of self improvement, hard work, going through embarssment and getting ridiculed by others, etc when the tall good looking neurotypical just decides to "be himself" and is able to effortlessly find friends, get popular, get female attentino validation adn relationships and find and maintain employment from all the validation he receives? I never really felt like I had to "choose" between people. Even if they are amazing guys, if I don't have feelings for them, I will turn them both down. There will always only be one person I have feelings for at most.

Is psychology not respected? Well... I do wish it was... Does it not need unique male insight in order to treat males? Considering psychology is based on research, men and women can still get proper representation if those conducting it are not biased. But worry not! Many of the modern notable psychology figures are still men. They found that women are still underrepresented among veteran psychological scientists... ...On average, men publish more psychological science articles than women every …

Shouldn't everything you said be true for this as well? Not quite. If it was a mere case of women simply not being interested, people wouldn't feel as much of a need for that push. But, to get the big one out of the way: representation. STEM is made up of fields that are all highly respected. This is where you'll find those who are capable, valuable and intelligent. Of course it would be nice to see more women in top fields with good pay and success. Diversity, like the other dude said, is also …

“Long before female students outnumber men on university campuses, they outperform boys in high school. Girls in elementary school spend more time studying than boys, are less likely to misbehave than boys, and get better grades than boys across all major subjects. Yes, women outperform men in their studies. No, this does not mean men are oppressed. People are not privileged for getting what they work for, and people are not oppressed for not getting what they don't work for. Men are more likely…

If she's drunk and you aren't - make sure you are also seen drinking by others in the party or by the bartender, or a selfie holding a drink, etc. Yeah, that one's yucky. I remember going to a party where we started drinking at 10 in the morning. As night came around, I was quite far gone. Another dude had joined the party somewhere during the evening. He tried to kiss me behind this shed/house, and I slipped and fell into the ditch next to us. I was completely covered in rank ass smelling mud, …

Men approach women, but women don't approach men. Yeah, no, that's my point. Back when I was ugly and introverted, nobody approached me. We were both bullied for most of our youth and rejected by those around us, but it's different because I'm a woman and even though nobody wanted me either, I still had more chances... I had to change my whole appearance and personality in order to actually have any chances in the first place. I am introverted because I am still terrified of interacting with peo…

I'm also neurodivergent. People threw shit at me on my way home from school because it was funny to them. People told me to my face that I was ugly, laughing about how disgusting it would be to date me. I had no friends. Even as a woman, I have experienced the feeling of being completely alone. I am not a popular introvert because I'm a woman; I'm a popular introvert because I learned how to be attractive and social. I'm a popular introvert, and I like guys who are homebodies just as much as I like guys who are outgoing. For me, it makes no difference. I've dated someone who knew quite a few people and liked to go out. But he had no hobbies. Unless watching TV counted, he had nothing that kept him busy aside from other people. I am the opposite and have a lot of hobbies, so it honestly baffled me how someone could have none. Conversations were dry. It turned out I had already found out everything about him b…

It sounds like a comedy skit, but I feel really bad for the dude. I've had men try the same thing with me and it's extremely uncomfortable because we're all taught that it's rude to speak up, even if the other person is pushy and doesn't stop. I honestly hope the girl feels embarrassed too for trying to force herself onto him like that. Imagine making someone so uncomfortable, they end up falling off the terrace because they wanted to get away.

I find people who are quick to anger extremely weak. Things like yelling, name-calling and using personal attacks to try and "win" an argument show immaturity, a lack of empathy and no ability to solve problems. For the same reasons, someone who is quick to judge others harshly is also weak. It's a big sign of insecurity. Having no self-awareness and being unable to introspect.

It’s not as if no women enjoy the more extreme things you see in porn. I know they exist and I’ve dated some. The problem is that porn leads men to believe that all of them should. In a way, many women deal with a similar belief. My first relationship was also my first sexual experience. At 14, my ex was into extreme stuff. Obsessed with anal, rape, bdsm, you name it. I thought I loved it, too. I believed our sex life, at f*cking 14, was amazing! I didn't even care about how uncomfortable some t…

Oof. I used to be porn-positive until my last relationship caused me to research and educate myself on it. Because it is used by low-value, undesirable, and unattractive men to release sexual tension. It is used by all sorts of people! Men, women, children, couples. The amount of porn someone consumes isn't only dependent on the amount of sex someone can get. It also removes them from the dating scene, where they would just pester women Nope! No matter how ideal it seems on paper, especially since I'm a woman, understanding the risks is very important. Thank you for opening my eyes to this issue! I think if me and my future partner both agree on him having a vasectomy, we should still take some time beforehand to research the potential complications and risks. Seeking out hookups is completely valid, but acting like it's golden cocaine and needing a frequent fix because she'll otherwise be in agony is... worrisome? If mere masturbation isn't enough to deal with her "cravings" to the point where a month without sex is like another circle of hell, I do actually find it mind-boggling. Stupid as it may sound, the fact that I didn't get any comments about how pathetic I am and that I "should have just left if it was really that bad" kind of surprised me? Even I find myself looking at my comment and thinking it's not all that bad and that I just didn't do enough. As a woman, I must admit that there's quite a stigma surrounding OLD. Without trying to offend anyone, apps sort of feel like a backup for if IRL dating doesn't work... It's also very goal-oriented to the point where it comes across as desperation or sheer laziness. I guess there is some sort of shame tied to it?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/23 07:24 AM

If I may also ask... What is the purpose of your question? Is it to read a woman's behavior better? Or was the question more focused on measuring their self-awareness? Also, take your time! It is very kind of you to leave a little message to let me know!

While I'm a woman, I am a big supporter of having my future partner get snipped after we're done having kids. I'm European, so the costs might vary. Activity Cost Arcade 20$ - 50$+ Dinner 60$+ Swimming 20$ Bar 50$+ Zoo 50$ Amusement park 100$ Café 30$ Movies 35$ These are the more generic ones off the top of my head. Every "+" means the price can vary significantly. Dinner could be 60$; it could be 600$. With bars, the price difference between cocktails and beer is also insane. Arcades are dealer's choice.

Mehh... I don't quite agree. Female beauty standards are basically "don't be fat" and learn how to apply makeup. You shouldn't be too fat, but you shouldn't be too skinny either. I'm at a BMI of 20.1 while I used to be at 27.8, which is quite overweight. Ironically, some of my guy friends still won't stop yapping on about how my body used to be amazing before it "fell from grace." When it comes to women's weight, many gloss over the importance of fat distribution and bone structure. Unless you'r…

I'm a bisexual woman, and objectively I believe women are more attractive than men. Naturally, women have more bits that can be appreciated. Butts, hips, breasts, thighs, faces, stomachs... just about every body part is one that can spark debates on what is more attractive. To the eye, rounded shapes are more appealing than stronger, more defined ones. Holding a ball is more soothing than holding the sharp end of a knife after all. Femininity is often defined by these softer features. Round eyes…

its literally ingrained into neurotypical brains to weed out any signs of neurodiversity as those people are less agreeable and socially callibrated, lowering the chances of offspring survival. Familiarity plays a big role in attraction. This is why more "average" faces are also more attractive. Familiarity is predictability. Predictability is safety. Neurodivergence increases the risk of violent behavior. A neurotypical person also communicates in ways that are "odd," or unpredictable. This isn…

Socially, sexual shame can be seen in the ways girls and women inhibit their sexuality. Historically, society has overlooked accurate and positive sex education for women. Girls and women are taught about their body in a quiet and discrete way, if at all. This includes masturbation. Women navigate the world of masturbation with little societal guidance, which leaves room for negative perceptions of masturbation such as it being wrong or immature (Fahs & Frank, 2014). Women are fearful of being s…

It's funny to mention starvation. As a woman, I felt extreme shame at the idea of feeling sexual pleasure. I felt like I didn't have the right to feel good in such a way. I remember at 15, a guy in our class went around asking each girl if they masturbated. Not a single girl said that she did. The dude's mind was blown, and every guy he asked had no problem saying he did. For women, we all felt this universal shame surrounding masturbation and pleasure. Well yes, but actually no. This is like saying a virgin (someone who's never had sex) and a virgin (an unwanted loser that should be ashamed of himself for existing) are two different things that people use interchangeably. They both have the same definition at its core: never having had sex. If you define an unwanted loser that should be ashamed of himself for existing as someone who's never had sex, then you're defining someone who's never had sex as an unwanted loser that should be ashamed of…

I'm a 22 year old woman. The men in my friend group are a very rare sort. The word I always find most befitting for them is "weird", but not in a bad way. They speak openly about their emotions, hardships and weaknesses. They respect opinions that differ from theirs and don't give in to social pressure. Most of them are in their early 20's and virgins, but they don't seem invested in changing that status simply for the sake of it. They're the kind of people that go on vacation, only to spend the…

Women - do you like facial hair on men? It really depends. I've had blond boyfriends and never really liked the way their facial hair grew out. It's completely understandable that you don't want women judging you, and if you find women to be distracting, I get that it gets in the way of your workout. To be honest, I've heard a lot of men that regularly go to the gym talk about how they stare at the women there. One even complained about his ex girlfriend, because she obviously felt insecure and hurt by it, but he said she couldn't expect him not to look. For me, it's a really uncomfortable experience to know people are looking at me in that way when I'm trying to mind my own business. Many women feel the same, so I suppose that's why there are female only spaces at gyms.

This is a question that's very difficult to answer. Honestly, one thing that bothers me about this stuff is that I objectively look better when I'm overweight. Right now, my weight is exactly that of the Robinson calculation (used the European metric system, sorry). Maybe it's because I'm really short, but there isn't a single person who's told me I look better now than before. However, most men that have approached me are very focused on their "goal" and don't take much time to see if there even is much of a connection at all. I also realized that of the three men I had chemistry with in clubs, none approached me. I hit it off with one guy because we were both dragged along by a mutual friend and we didn't know each other yet, so we…

It's not, but nobody feels special if they know they're the 20th attempt. Feeling like a guy is only interested in you because he's done being single is not very appealing.

I'd date autistic men. I have ADHD and my older brother has autism so I'm already used to some of the quirks. As for the outbursts, I would probably prefer the dude in question to be open to therapy if things get too bad too often. Right?! The sheer entitlement of the man's wife is insane. I sometimes joke with my boyfriend about how we probably won't have pretty babies. I'm really short, his hair started graying as a teen, and we both have acne prone skin. Not a single time did the thought of getting a sperm donor cross my mind- you'd assume nobody really thinks of getting one unless there aren't any other options... She just told him that she doesn't find him attractive and doesn't want his babies in one go. "Not attract…

Absolutely! Every person is different. I am far more sensitive than other people, so even oral can hurt me pretty quickly if done without care. Oftentimes, being a woman's best is not too difficult. I have had very little experience with men who actually WANT to learn how to be good in bed; they are very stuck in their ways. It's not uncommon as a woman to request something (i.e. "please don't lick the hole", "can you maybe try sucking?", "please don't switch every two seconds..." etc.) and be f…

This. If there have been dozens of failed attempts at communicating, I wouldn't be too weirded out by this "active" approach. I still want to point out that I have known many women in person who helped me and other men who expressed vulnerability in person (not just women who told us it's okay to cry without seeing us cry). I used to have a great group of friends with most of them being men. We were always on Discord and with them, I had many late night crying sessions. They told me it was okay to be in pain, and that there's no shame in feeling bad. They didn't cry nearly as often as I did, but they were very open and…

Regardless, I think the argument itselt fits for both men and women. When I think of an average woman, I think of unassuming features. No huge curves, no prominent flaws, no makeup. Maybe a pair of glasses, blue jeans and a plain T-shirt. Basically like a background character. I think "average" are the people we don't even see. The ones that aren't too much or too little of this and that, but also not quite attractive. However, they're still more attractive than over half the population. Most me…

This. I find attraction a very black and white concept. You're either romantically attracted to someone or you're not. Dating someone just because they're "safe" is no happy life at all for either person. they'd be living a lie. I would never want to be my partner's second best. I want to be wanted and desired. I want to be loved, not liked. If someone feels like they're settling for me, I wouldn't want them. It's the greatest disrespect.

This is much better explanation as to why some people experience violation and then want to essentially reenact it, vs other people who don't. Honestly, I think you might be right for a percentage of people. However, I also have a different belief... Do you know why talking about traumatic experiences helps a person cope? It's because it's like the event is experienced again, only in a less volatile setting. New memories are formed surrounding the trauma, and they now seem far less stressful; on…

Maybe don't use the excuse of, "Idk if our child is mine" when it's about making your own dinner and cleaning your shit out the toilet. It's not normal to be skeptical about whether your kid does actually have YOUR DNA, and that either requires therapy or a paternity test, depending on how valid the doubt is. It does not absolve a man from having to vacuum the floor once in a while.

My boyfriend was terrible at sex. He was a porn addict and when I asked him to grab my breast instead of just pinching my nipples, he squeezed it so hard it became bruised. Had to wear a sportsbra for weeks. He initially shamed me for wanting foreplay, for not wanting him to immediately walk off to smoke afterwards, and even for wanting a clitoral orgasm. Most mothers don't say it, but it's absolutely normal to consider childcare a burden from time to time. Much of the work goes unnoticed and unappreciated. Being an active parent is absolutely stressful, and unlike working a fulltime job out of the house, there is no moment where coming home feels like you can finally unwind for the day. It's definitely different per person, depending on one's values. A career finds success in personal achievements while love finds success in and with other people. The social consequence for women who do this is also much less, despite what red pill men would want to influence, we live in a blue pill world. Hate to disappoint, but the redpillers are still on point with hook-up culture consequences. Could you define sex to me, please? When does it start, when is it over? Where is the line between foreplay and sex? What is foreplay? If it's focused on the man's pleasure it's because she's horny for his genetics. The whole reason why women seem so asexual is because she is NOT horny. In porn, women are portrayed as sex-hungry addicts who can be abused, and with bruised bodies and wet eyes, they will still beg for more. This is for the man.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 06:41 AM

Porn conditions a person to only get off to being cucked; watching another man have sex with an attractive woman while the viewer watches from a distance. F: I used to be okay with porn until my current relationship. My boyfriend declined sex and sent me out of the bedroom to sleep, only for him to watch porn instead. The whole situation really messed me up sexually, emotionally and romantically.

Do you mean this filter? If I may, I'd like to rephrase your bullet points. I'm on mobile though, so the formatting will be bad. Apologies. • The filter removes blemishes, enhances features via makeup visuals, bleaches the skin, and alters the overall structure of the face. • The filter adjusts seemingly perfectly to movement and won't show up on objects that block parts of the face. This makes it so that it is difficult to detect the presence of this filter. • Because it changes bone structure …

good guess. My mom is especially big with her humbleness, though sometimes to her own detriment, unfortunately... I didn't even really think about the relationship between gratitude and economic status, but I do believe you're right. I went to a high school that mainly had rich kids walking around. A conversation I remember was about people sitting in lawn chairs on the sidewalk at their front door. The person I talked to said it was unacceptable and that they should just go to their backyard. The only thing they got from me were some mean breakfasts. Ayo, that's actually a W. I remember at the start of my relationship, my boyfriend prepared me some killer instant noodles. I kept praising him for it, and whenever we eat noodles now, he smacks my hand away when I try to stir my own bowl. He's the noodle master now. My mom taught me to appreciate all that is given to me, no matter how simple. Being humble and grateful gets you very far in life.

Wisdom and knowledge. Masculinity talk aside, I feel a person's true value comes from their brains. I love debating people on topics and learning new things, and from the options you gave, it seems that only the second category matches those traits. All three types possess an ambitious drive for "more." More money, more physical strength... more knowledge. However, knowledge is extremely diverse and slightly vague. We don't know what we don't know. So finding someone with a similar will to learn…

He got mad at me for wanting hugs afterwards and shamed me for wanting foreplay. Those things didn't make sense, and he believed men didn't do stuff like that. They do, but he just didn't. there is a contradiction between men simultaneously wanting sex fast and wanting women to have a low body count or be virgins. This was just the thing that threw me off in the context of the paradox, honestly. Surprisingly, my boyfriend never made an issue out of my sexual history, even with the whole "sex = whore" mindset. That's not the Madonna-Whore complex. My boyfriend used to have that thought process. He had spend a year chasing me before I finally felt ready for a relationship; in that time, I did not have sex with anyone. He knew that, too. Even though he spent so long crushing on me, he didn't want to look at me during sex. He had to fantasize about actual sex workers to get off, he later admitted. A difference is in regards to hooking up. Pregnancy is far less stressful for men because it's not their body to be responsible about. Women have to consider contraception like the pill, even if condoms are used. Because of this, sex becomes riskier for the woman. They're also more prone to general infections and STD's. I also think that while appearance is important for both genders, women still tend to have more pressure put on them. I've grown up ugly as hell and finally put in the work to lo…

Sir, where did I ever say women were not responsible for any of these things? Women can be bad. Men can be bad. Want to guess what gender commits 60% of child abuse, including neglect? Neglect is a difficult concept to play the blame game with considering unwanted children usually end up under the mother's care. She's neglecting the child, but if the father was not neglectful as well, the child would not be neglected... Aside from that, emotional abuse is also mainly on the fathers. Physical abu…

I can give some evolutionary insight... Humans don't really evolve for survival anymore. With hospitals, people with genetic defects will still be able to produce offspring. Muscles don't matter as much in a species that prioritizes brains. A baby's head being too big for childbirth doesn't matter in a world where healthcare exists. And since evolution doesn't have to put all its focus on not dying before new babies can be born, it gets creative. Evolution loves diversity. Each unique person is …

Nope, I don't feel inferior at all. I have personally never made anything of true, objective value, but most people here haven't either. Whether it's created by a man or a woman, it's not created by any of us specifically. In my head, it's simply created by a human. I don't feel the need to live vicariously through the accomplishments of those who match my sex. It's nice to feel like someone cares enough about you to not only listen, but to show active interest. In the psychology of attraction, one of the building blocks of forming connections is familiarity. Validating and encouraging someone by indirectly saying you like what they like and you want to hear more about it build similar rapport. In a way, it is definitely a form of manipulation, but it's beneficial for both parties.

Yup, this. A lot of comments talk about being approached by nerdy/geeky guys, but I just get the stoners or the weird ones. The approaching itself is fine. Shoot your shot, so long as you're respectful of the answer. For me, the existential crisis comes from the idea that most men only want to be friends with me because they're sexually attracted to me. When I got together with my boyfriend, he made it clear that he didn't want me to stay in contact with the people that at one point or another confessed their attraction to me. There might be some truth to this. I get approached quite frequently, though it used to be more often than it is now. The man will figure it out by the fact that women don't want to deal with them. Developing emotionally shouldn't be done with another person in the picture. I will say, it sure takes a whole lot more to be emotionally stable than most. In the earlier stages of development, your brain picks up a lot of information from how your caretakers treat each other, as well as yourself. This information gets turned into blueprints. "If women had clits in their vagina..." WE DO. The clitoris isn't the size of the tiny bean that pokes out on top. It's like an iceberg that hugs around the vaginal walls. I have ADHD, so it's a bit different, but I also struggled a lot socially at first. Then I started thinking about what other people want from me, and I conc…

I know it sounds stupid, but I don't think I really focus on red flags when I'm looking for a partner. Of course, there are typical things like being rude to waiters, littering, low empathy towards animals etc. that obviously make me lose attraction fast. However, I'm not quickly romantically attracted to/interested in a person. After the breakups I've had, it took me 1.5 years each before I finally fell in love again. Because of this, once I fall, I often try my best to keep the spark alive. Th…

Why do women put up with abuse over picking someone nice? How do you know someone is nice? People who are in abusive relationships often come from abusive households. I come from a family where my father had intense angry outbursts where he'd physically attack my mother. Every fight, me and my brother would stand at our doors, listening to their screams to make sure we didn't have to step in yet. No matter how often they threatened divorce, it never happened. It was abusive. It was my first exam…

I believe so, yes. To take appearance as an example again and focusing on evolution, because women were often chosen for their appearance, looks rapidly became a vital component for survival and procreation. Throughout most (if not all) cultures, all throughout time, women were the sex that followed the most extensive and intense beauty trends. Tapeworms, footbinding, corsets, blood draining... While men also had their own trends going, I'd say they were often not nearly as dangerous and harmful…

Hypergamy: the action of marrying or forming a sexual relationship with a person of a superior sociological or educational background. For me, it sounds like a pretty logical concept. We all want the best we can get, so the more you have to offer, the more people will be interested. Throughout most of history, romance was a bit less romantic. A man's value was dictated by what he could provide. The more he could provide, the more options he had. Women had less of a say in courtships and were usu…

I'm somewhat a neat-freak when it comes to cleaning. Instead of mopping the floor, I like using a cloth to "manually" get rid of the dirt. I don't blame my boyfriend for not having the same mindset. However, there are times where I do the dishes, dry them and put them away. After that, I immediately cook, set the table, and plate the food. When we're done eating, he does bring his plate to the kitchen. I am the one on dish and dry duty afterwards, though. When I brought this up, he did change. H…

How do you keep on dating after reading these posts? In this situation, I separate men into two categories. Those who go to this sub and echo that which has been repeated a hundred times on here already, or those who don't. The guys in my closest circle are amazing in that regard. Not all of them are successful when it comes to love, not all of them try, yet none of them hold the same beliefs that are shared on here. Some guys play games, sure. Some women do, too. and the only thing preventing most of us is our body fat. Yes and no. I believe it all comes down to self-care and improvement. Personal hygiene, flattering clothing, nice hairstyles etc. are all fundamental for attraction. It doesn't matter how ripped or skinny a guy is if he has greasy hair, ill-fitting clothing and a no-shower streak. Even the most physically attractive man can fall down to a non-passing grade if he's ill-mannered, socially inept and/or unambitious. Weight is important, but t…

I do agree that ironically, it works both ways. I know a guy with a huge ego. The type of person who has a lot of insecurities lying underneath a fake, glistening layer of pride. Most women don't see this in him when they first meet him, and so he has no trouble starting relationships. It's maintaining a relationship that doesn't work out well for him. I'm guessing humility has the opposite issue. Maintaining a relationship with someone who's humble could be great, but most don't fall for someon…

I don't think the analogy really holds up. Crashing your car and killing someone is an accident (in the given context). Drunk driving, crashing and killing someone is an accident that could have likely been avoided if the driver did not choose to intoxicate themselves beforehand. Cheating with a sober mind is not an accident. You don't slip and fall into doggy style. Instead of drunk/sober driving, cheating could better be compared to murder instead. A drunk person is far more likely to have thr…

There was also another reason that women usually care more about having an open casket. For me personally, I can also see the appeal of having remains that are in one piece. I imagine an intact yet lifeless body to be at peace, while a visibly damaged body feels more... disturbed? Who knows? Maybe women focus on the peace that follows the end of life while men focus on simply ending their life. Basically, in some areas women have advantages, and in other areas men have advantages. 100% agreed. Women tend to attempt in ways that allow them to be found, or so that they themselves can alert someone to their suicide attempt. Hmm, not quite. Women often choose a less disfiguring approach. To be completely fair, it wasn't as bad as it sounds. I'm 5 ft, so 88 pounds isn't too far out of the norm, I think. I also didn't move a lot. We had an entire course solely focused on attraction back when I studied psychology. What is far more plausible is simply that abundance leads to desensitization which leads to novelty-seeking and since the number of men that look 'good' and novel at the same time is quite low, women seek out that novelty from behavior/reputation. If said person fell for someone who turned out to not be real, chances are they're gonna dip…

Isn't it often voiced on this sub that the majority of women are nearly asexual in nature? More often than not, a woman's motive to interact with men isn't based on sex. Regardless of whether a woman can sleep with a chad, she wouldn't want to hang around with the unfavorable, desperate Joe. Chad isn't the reason Joe's unfavorable. Joe is.

Hmmm... I think a very important distinction between mental disorders and personality disorders is that PD's cannot technically be cured. While something like depression or anxiety is able to "come and go" as time passes, once someone has a personality disorder, that's that. Treatment can only do so much to ease the symptoms, but it can never actually treat the disorder. Ironically, especially with something like BPD, most people with the disorder wouldn't necessarily want to hide the fact they'…

Usually, I immediately know whether I'm attracted to someone or not. For me, that special butterfly flies past me once every 1.5 years. There's nothing specific about the ones I've fallen for in this way. One was tall, the other was short. Rich, poor, educated or not; they were all different. However, last year, a guy fell in love with me. I turned him down since I didn't feel the same. His love got worse and then dimmed, and we ended up staying friends. Oddly enough, I began developing feelings…

In my late teens, I showed a lot of signs related to BPD. I've changed a lot and am still working on myself, but it turns out my symptoms were related to other disorders. Anyways... Would it help if men could would know which women have these personality disorders so they can make an informed choice to play with fire or avoid them like the plague or run for the hills if they want to get serious? Certainly. As is the case for just about any mental/personality disorder. Especially the Cluster B pe…

Agreed. I used to work in sales and a pretty face can only get you so far. It's like eating a cake with Styrofoam filling.

I used to work in sales. Though I'm a woman, I'd still like to put in my own two cents. People are followers. It's something a lot of people on this sub preach as well: If woman A likes a man, Woman B, C and D will follow. If A doesn't like someone, the others will dislike him, too. This goes for men as well. It's a universal concept. Biologically, it makes sense. If one person deems someone "unsafe," it's best to steer clear just in case. This is why insecurity is such a deal-breaker/cockblock.…

I don't think I'd really care? Apparently it doesn't look fake, so it's not really an issue for me. It's not like he absolutely has to disclose something like that before we hook up; it's obviously something he's embarrassed about. I don't talk about my bacne on the first date either. My first reaction would probably be to ask him questions, but I'd also tell him he doesn't have to talk about it if he doesn't want to. My opinion about it is the same with plastic surgery or any other appearance a…

Yeah, you're honestly right. I remember my (and my ex's) first time. Candles, roses, chocolates; it was a complete surprise. We were both inexperienced kids, and he couldn't even get it in completely before we had to stop because I was on the verge of crying. It hurt like a bitch. Sex-wise, it was (obviously) the worst of my life, and I hope for him he hasn't had worse after that either. And yet I wouldn't change it. I hope your first time will be a bit more successful, but I also hope it will b…

I never implied male virgins are going to cheat. I just find what happened ironic, is all. It wasn't an assumption either. That's why I said "The ones I've been with..." rather than a generalized "they." You just asked if I could commit to someone with no sexual experience, and my response was my own experience on the matter. I meant to say that virgins aren't always the "yucky" clingy ones. Men and women can cheat, virgin or not.

For me personally, I think it's an absolute turn-on if he cares about his appearance. In one of my friendgroup, there's only one guy who actively gets girl after girl. He's also the only one who actively looks after his appearance. We joked about it once and he said that it makes sense why he's getting the most attention from women. Most guys either neglect their appearance, or they're gay. He's basically like a rare gem. I agreed.

Oh definitely not. A lot of my male friends are virgins, and I doubt they'd be cruel enough to ever do something like that. I'm just stating my experience. I'm more than willing to commit to a virgin. The ones I've been with just didn't want to commit to me.

What? Of course not. My first relationship was a "mutual deflowering," so I'm not sure that counts. My third relationship was with a virgin, too. My second boyfriend already lost his virginity to a hookup, but I was his first relationship with sex (and his overall 2nd). The irony of it all? 2 of the relationships ended with them cheating on me. I'll let you guess who the cheaters were.

The fact that I've never had a boyfriend who matched my sex drive makes me laugh at this post. It makes so many of these statements seem so wonky for me. When women say they want building something together, but then are not interested in sex However, men and women should exist on an equal plane, and if a woman isn't as interesting to a man as his male friends, she shouldn't deserve to be his friend. Agreed. I don't want to spend my life with someone I'm not friends with, and I don't want someon…

I think it's actually an honor to be a guy's (or anyone's) first. It does give me some extra pressure to make sure he's having an amazing time, but it's really special tbh.

There was this Youtube video I watched today where a woman accidentally posted a picture that showed her exposed breasts. She took it down less than five minutes later, but screens had already been made. The Youtuber is the type of person who's all about empowerment. There is nothing wrong with exposed body parts and she cheers the women in the sex industry on. But she did not want that. A couple of people went out of their way to send the picture to as many people as they could. Fanpages, follo…
