Ignoring the fact that dreads have probably touched all corners of the globe throughout history long before it was seen as part of a culture, I remember reading about one of the earliest depictions of dreads came from ancient civilization who’s descendants include modern day Europeans.

And this is why we can’t lock someone up for 20 years because an accusation was made. Unfortunately, people will lie about this kind of thing. And it’s an insult to anyone who has actually experienced something like that(as I did throughout my childhood). TBH, I think that young women and men (and everything between) should be taught not only ways to stay safe, but the possible consequences if they choose not to report it as well as how false accusations can destroy people’s lives. Nope. Same law should apply. A persons life can be destroyed by such an allegation, even if it turns out to be a false accusation. It doesn’t matter how many times it happens because that one time is enough to ruin a life.
