I have never lived around westernized chinese people, so I can't comment on that. It's just my observation from my time in China, where sex seems to be seen by most girls as a one time necessity to get a guy to marry her. I'm pretty positive they didn't grow up the same way. My grandfather on my mothers side that I never got to know was a classic alpha male. My grandfather on my fathers side was heavily affected by WW2 from what I know, but I never got to know him either. I think it's all a product of the pro feminist counter culture in the 60s that turned the men in my father's generation soft towards women by generally rejecting all traditional values.
