You continue to distract from the part where you placed SO many words in the above poster's mouth regarding what you think they actually meant that you claimed as fact. I don't believe sex is as inconsequential as food, and that was clearly not the intent of my mocking your anger at her ambivalence towards promiscuity. Nor do you I assume, which makes it even more confusing as to why you're arguing about it. But you know that, you're just trying to ridicule from a point of embarassment. You argu…

As you said, you used the apex fallacy and then said "but it's okay here under the exact conditions that the apex fallacy applies to". You cannot just claim the apex fallacy is actually true here under the exact circumstances that the apex fallacy applies to, nor can you ever claim it's true because it's a fallacy. Moving on, Egyptians that survived infancy could expect to live longer than King Tut: UCLA research citing life expectancy without infant mortality rates

As I pointed out, all you did was put words in her mouth after she gave an answer. No facts to be seen. Obviously sex isn't as consequential as caviar, don't be intentionally obtuse.

You cite the average age of historic people without accounting for the vastly higher infant mortality rate skewing that fact, to name one. In another comment you use a single example of King Tut as evidence that the population-wide data for average age at death is incorrect, which is apalling considering your education

Surely you must understand that a single, cherry picked example of someone dying young does not outweigh actual empirical data. I know of someone who lived to be 100 years old before the modern era which cancels out your example, you see how this is silly, right? Anecdotal << Empirical, this is basic stuff

She said she doesn't have a strong feeling about them, which is a completely valid answer to have. Do you get pissy whenever someone doesn't have an opinion on something? You: "Hey I_Hate_Polymers, how do you feel about caviar?" IHP: "I don't know, I've never had it. I certainly don't have a problem with people who like it" You: "Tch, typical, let me put some words in your mouth to fill in the answer that conforms to my bias and then accuse you of doing the same" You need to do some serious refl…

I'm getting my PhD in Materials Science and everytime I have to take a polymers class it just makes me sad lol I don't know, they bore me. They're fantastic, don't get me wrong, I'm glad we have them. I just don't like them lol

The first rant was very generalized. And they do, true, I just think the things I see most of them rant about are very reasonable to be upset by and likewise perpetuated by most men. They rant about being objectified, harassed, and abused, while you rant about points that you've invented wirh no data. I don't see you changing your view from this conversation, goodbye.

That statistic is actually dropping as younger adults who have witnessed the mistakes of their parents enter into healthier relationships. Women were taught to be subservient and stick it out in their crap marriage until very recently. Women in the US couldn't even open up a bank account without their husband until the 1970s. Once more avenues were opened up for women to exist on their own, many of them divorced their shit husbands and that statistic became inflated. Regardless, if you truly bel…

If you "treat them as equal" then it shouldn't matter, no? No my guy, I don't think you hate women because you treat them "equally", I think you hate women because of the rants you went on against them in your post. You showed me what you think of them. It is interesting that you consider them coddled and treated equally by you as you revile them online in defense of men like yourself.

OP gave no empirical data. But you are correct, children (whether sons or daughters) of single parents (whether mothers or fathers) tend to do "worse" in life than others by many metrics. This is not because women give shitty advice as that's a ridiculous claim that you cannot empirically measure. No, it is because the VAST majority of single parents did not intend to be single parents. Parents, whether single or not, tend to do a poor job of raising children that they either did not want or wer…

Exactly, you think that family court is the dating world. Family court is an incredibly unfortunate result of unhealthy relationships that went too far due to a lack of adequate communication from one or both parties. As I said, well adjusted people who are in a healthy relationship that they actively strive to maintain do not view relationships this way and will not end up in family court. If you believe that every relationship will be a battle that eventually ends up in divorce proceedings the…

This is an issue for ill-adjusted people who view relationships as winning prizes and place stress on things that just aren't really an issue. If you are a kind and communicative partner (and your partner is the same) then the two of you will quickly learn how to sexually satisfy each other, whether you were a virgin or not going into the relationship. That's all that matters, you care about this person so during sex, as in all things you do together, you just enjoy doing it with them and want t…

Some men may, obviously nothing is black and white. But by and large, the traditional gender roles that our society had even just forty years ago where women are seen as primary housekeepers has persisted despite women needing to move into the workforce to help support the family financially (due to stagnant wages combines with inflation). It's a big, intersectional issue but it does, on average, result in men that put forth less effort in the relationship than the women they are with.

Your post reeks of your hatred towards women. You started off with a rant about privelege that you perceive them to have. Because you've allowed yourself to become so emotional about this, your arguments are flimsy at best. You provide no empirical evidence for your claim other than citing three specific cases of men "dating down" as you see it. The countless examples of overweight dads with moderately fit wives that do all of the chores and childcare while maintaining their own jobs (see my par…

People being happy on their own is of course their own responsibility. The claim that I actually see from women is that they are unhappy with their male romantic partners being ill-adjusted adults that put in very minimal effort to the relationship. This is a perfectly valid reason to be unhappy with your relationship, regardless of the sexes involved. It just tends more common to see men put forth minimal effort in a relationship compared to women

You seem to view the dating world as a competition between the sexes and that one group can somehow claim victory over the other. This is ludicrous. Dating and finding a healthy relationship benefit both parties. I have met very few women (and truthfully more men) who are not genuine and forthcoming about what they want in a relationship. This is how normal, adjusted people interact. It's not a competition, there's no one for you to beat or trick

Both claims in your argument are just arbitrary opinions you've decided are fact. It's ridiculous. "Why do women constantly give their sons bad advice" I don't think that they do. My mom didn't give me any, so my lived experience cancels out yours. You have no empirical data on this and thus it's nonsense that you just want to be angry about because you hate women. "Virtually all men confirm this" They don't. Here I am, not doing so. If they did, you wouldn't be posting this for debate on this s…
