Exactly this. In the past I’ve caught myself doing this and it comes off as being try hard and delusional arrogance. Recently a plate told me how cool one of her orbiters was and if I met him I’d love him. My response was damn, he does sound cool, if we hit it off you could DD, I could use a good wingman. If you sound threatened or try and peacock it never ends well.
