Find your local big city departments hiring announcement. Just pop in when they take the exam. You will find a shit ton of white males. Like over 90%. It's just a fact that blacks and Asians don't want to be firefighters. They aren't being discriminated against. In fact, most big city departments are doing everything they can to attract more diversity. Around where I worked you saw a fair amount of Hispanics, though.

I was a fireman for over 10 years. At all of the employment tests... It was filled with white males. Women in the fire service are overrepresented compared to those that apply. Last hiring exam we had, only 3 out of 500 applicants were female. They hired 1. That female is vastly over represented. Besides, there's no problem that needs to be solved. More women in the fire service isn't some tragedy that even women want to solve .

People in my premed forums were arguing about how male doctors are paid more. It's an industry where prices are literally set for everyone, and insurance companies don't alter their payment based on gender. It just so happens that men work more hours in medicine, see more patients, and go into specialties that are more time intensive (on call, night, emergencies, etc). Japan is a country. Asian is a race. You can further be specific and call them yamato or whatever... Anyone born In Japan is Japanese it's just that Japan has strict immigration and everyone who lives there is Asian. People confuse nationality with DNA.

I don't think that the government should be involved with marriage, but unfortunately the government is. There's so man logical reasons to get married when you have children. Even just simple things like sharing insurance with the spouse and family. I totally get it. I was out on my cul-de-sac with my twin 4 year olds, just watching them bike around and when local kids come up to talk with me and play with my children I'm looking over my shoulder making sure nobody thinks I'm a weirdo. It's just lame that I fewl awkward talking to children in public.

I'm a firefighter, and I work for a department that hasn't done this type hiring discrimination yet. I work right next to a city that has, though. It's true though, women don't want to be firefighters. Very few show up to hiring exams and even fewer attend fire academies on their own. It's so much bull shit.

The point isn't that men should be able to force women to do anything. There's just a disparity of power that women have over the fetus and the man's future finances.
