What about toxic femininity? Also a thing. There are absolutely aspects of cultural ideas regarding femininity that produce problems, such as the notion that a woman must find value in being a stay at home mom, or the idea that women who express frustration or anger are necessarily "crazy".

Okay, so I actually can't find any corroborated evidence that the women who passed ranger training received any extra help that would let them pass the test if they were unqualified. They had extra physical conditioning prior to Ranger School, (but given the women tend to build muscle more slowly, this makes sense), and had some extra training in procedures. Whoah, calm down. As I mentioned in my other comment reply to him, I actually have some personal experience with this. Becoming a psychiatrist is an extremely difficult thing to do, and I wasn't able to find a program that would work out for me. That's why I'm currently working to become a psych NP instead. That's why I was skeptical. I agree, it's just an internet comment. I'm not like, emotionally invested in this. edit: nevermind, still pretty skeptical

I mean, it's not impossible, it's just an incredibly unusual circumstance. Most med school programs do not admit part-way through, most residencies are too time-intensive to allow for even part-time work, let alone psychological counseling. I know because I am a psychologist, and I was unable to find a med-school program in my entire state that would take anything less than 3 years of full-time work plus another 2 years of internship and then another 2-3 years of residency. Yes, I am fully aware of the requirements to become a psychiatrist. That is why I find it...unlikely that you have completed medical school, an internship, and a residency while simultaneously being a psychologist and a social worker

Right, so the key word in that definition is COMPULSIVE. There is a difference between deliberately and intentionally sleeping with multiple partners, and doing so because you feel compelled to do so.
