A properly executed prenuptial contract can address ownership and liability of all assets obtained "at any time in any manner." So my suspicion is correct, pre-nups can address marital property (depending on the law in your jurisdiction). However, I do find this highly unlikely. Generally you can contract to anything that isn't unconscionable, and there's no reason to believe that marital assets are off the table for negotiation.
