Were it not for this change, I, and many others like me would continue to operate under the apparently incorrect assumption that women are not allowed to walk across streets. I'm glad that something is finally being done to correct this widespread misconception.

Hypothetically, if your identical twin were visiting, and you thought you switched off your rape fantasy bot but actually forgot to, and you aren't home, then the bot could be confused (think your twin is you), and leave your twin without knowledge of the safe word, or the location of the switch. I don't there would be a "start as soon as I walk in the room, even if I'm fully clothed" mode, so I don't know how often that scenario would come up, but I could see someone suing over it if it did.

Typically, they're comparing median earnings for full time working men to median earnings for full time working women. There are many other factors they could account for that would make it a more realistic comparison, but it's not at all unusual to compare slightly different populations on a per individual basis.

I couldn't find data for suicide specifically, and even research on depression linked to ED appears to be rare, with tiny sample sizes. Is there data demonstrating that suicide and ED are not linked that I'm unaware of? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25818906 suggests more study should be done on the link between ED/PE and depression/anxiety, but only studied 64 individuals.

Do you think men on average would desire a really beautiful woman with a terminal illness, or an average looking woman with excellent health more? The reason men prefer beauty is probably that beauty is correlated with health, and much easier to measure. That doesn't mean men aren't actually attracted to beauty.

The function given is an approximation. The second derivative isn't constant between the data points, so no quadratic function could give the exact numbers from the actual data for all four data points. There is probably a better quadratic model, but I doubt the coefficients are so simple to do arithmetic with.

I think the idea is that all sentencing should be equitable, but it should be as lenient as upper class young white women receive now, instead of being as harsh as the punishments poor black men receive now. Basically, if a poor black man stabbed his tinder date and was let off to not hurt his employment opportunities, that would still be equitable, just much less harsh.

In a lot of situations, an admission of wrongdoing is basically an automatic "Lose any civil case brought on the subject" button. There's a very good reason for them not to admit it was wrong until after they can no longer be sued for it, and expecting that they will is kind of silly.
