I appreciate that. I feel pretty indifferent about whether there were women irl or not. I’m content with my porn addiction now.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 02:59 PM

I think I’m finally starting to reach full-blown apathy about life. I’m developing erectile dysfunction and I don’t even care. What difference does it make if I’m never gonna use that thing anyway?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 02:53 PM

If a man approaches for experience, he is very likely also genuinely interested. If anything, he may be more interested and just assumes you’d be out of his league or something, so he doesn’t expect it to go anywhere.

Well, low-tier men like me are. I admittedly don’t know about average or above average men.

Yeah, I could admittedly see myself becoming a shitty partner. I’ve had so many years of rejection that I’d probably carry around a good amount of resentment and bitterness. Luckily for women, I will almost certainly never get a relationship anyway, so it’s all just thought exercises.

A lot of people who fail at dating want to end their lives. It’s much more important to a lot of people than various other failures. If a career didn’t work out, I can always pick another one. If no woman wants to give me a chance, there is no consolation prize that makes up for it. For instance, I have a fairly fulfilling life outside of my relationship issues, yet I’m still quite depressed.

Maybe an average man can settle for someone less attractive. I wouldn’t know since I’m too bottom of the barrel for anyone. I have literally no choices lol.

Men typically don’t have much choice in their dating options. We just have to take whatever we can get.

I think actions can be taken that aren’t just fucking us, but they’re mostly at the institutional level. I think there need to be mental health professionals who specialize in treating late virgin men. It’s a rare issue that most don’t understand, even in the field of mental health. Plus, I think legalized prostitution would at least be a band-aid.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 05:45 PM

I resent that. 19-21 BMI guy even has his own catchphrase. Then there’s also the really hateful ones, whereas I’m in more of the permanently sad camp. You gotta get more invested in the lore.

I’ll count that as a victory. Self-pity is an inalienable part of my personality at this point.

You’re just too kind (ha made you feel sympathy for an *ncel). Let’s make that a 3.

I wasn’t asking for anyone to fuck me out of pity lol. But umm, good to know, I guess. I just think people (usually women) should be more open to trying a date with someone even if they’re not immediately attracted. Sometimes attraction can build. If it doesn’t, then you don’t need to force anything to develop. But too many people nowadays won’t even give unattractive people (usually men) a chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 04:20 PM

Sometimes I almost want to just sink to being a bitter asshole too, but I think I’m just too hooked on pity.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 04:17 PM

I appreciate that you’re sympathetic. That’s pretty rare, especially from women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 04:09 PM

I’m mildly curious: how annoying am I compared to the other *ncels you’ve interacted with? Let’s use a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the least annoying one you’ve ever met, and 10 being the most annoying.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 04:08 PM
3

Isn’t that just sympathy? I thought empathy was actually being able to relate to the experience. I guess you could say that empathy is being able to guess how it would feel to experience something, but that doesn’t seem authentic to me. I don’t like pretending to know how something feels if I haven’t experienced it. I will (typically) just try to feel sorry for the pain someone is experiencing, even if I don’t know what it’s like. It’s just harder with female loneliness, because it really is lik…

There are guarantees to be plenty of people who could feel close to her romantically if she gave them a chance. It’s not easy, but the hardest first step is at least getting someone attracted to you in the first place, and women have that step cleared by default.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:23 AM
2

Unironically yes. Women feel loneliness, so they can empathize with men over this. However, they do not experience the same severity of loneliness, so men cannot empathize back. Or at least, I can’t. I’m sure it sucks, but I won’t pretend to know what it’s like.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:21 AM
1

What does not having anyone have to do with attraction??? Are you kidding me right now? Please tell me you’re just fucking with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:15 AM
1

Didn’t say it was invalid. Said I couldn’t relate. I stand by that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:11 AM
1

I think we’re being overly technical at this point lol. Like, yeah I saw a woman’s titties, back when my mother was breastfeeding me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:10 AM
1

Then why the fuck are the lyrics about having nobody to kiss, nobody near her, literally just repeating nobody over and over?? She doesn’t mean “nobody”. She means “no Chad.”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:09 AM
1

That’s fair. I imagine I’d probably be similarly annoyed by that stuff. But I at least understand that they used to feel that way, so they know a bit about what it’s like. A woman writing about what it’s like for no one to want her is a bit like me writing about what it’s like to be an astronaut. Pure speculation.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:06 AM
1

I’m sorry to hear that. You’d be surprised how many people are more similar to you than you think though. I’m into really weird, niche stuff, but even I still find out about shared beliefs and interests now and then. My loneliness stems from knowing that I have absolutely no romantic/sexual value to women. Not just pretty women or even average women, but even similarly unattractive women want nothing to do with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 01:00 AM
2

I’m pretty sure she’s private about that, so any answers are probably Twitterheads speculating (but I could be wrong about that). But if she is lesbian or bisexual, then I’m slightly more sympathetic. It is definitely possible that no women are into her, since women are usually the ones with crazy standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:57 AM
1

It does make me unable to relate to the feeling though. It’s a little disingenuous though for the songs to also act like there’s no one out there into them
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:56 AM
1

You are allowed to feel lonely. I just will not be able to relate to your loneliness at all. I’d kill to feel desirable to somebody, even if I don’t like them back.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:46 AM
6

That was actually what prompted this comment lol. I heard her song called “Nobody” and it annoyed the hell out of me. Like, why is it becoming a fad for women to pretend no one is into them? Why do women want to larp as *ncels so badly?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:41 AM
2

Absolutely not me_irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:40 AM
1

That’s a different difficulty then. That’s music about an ex, so no way I’m relating to that either.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:37 AM
11

It’s hard to listen to songs about loneliness by female artists now, since I know they’re really just about how they can’t get some Chad’s attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/24 12:34 AM

I agree. I should have clarified that my comment is more in reference to comment history trend, rather than this particular comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:30 PM

Fair enough, I won’t prod any further then.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:17 PM

I dunno, Inject seems particularly fixated on it, and I wonder if it’s hinting at some deeper underlying pain. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not supporting obesity or anything, but I think there’s more to this, is all.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:17 PM

I guess I was just curious if there was a deeper underlying reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:15 PM

I’m curious, where did your extreme disdain for fat people come from? Were your parents extremely critical of your weight? It seems like it’s probably connected to body dysmorphia in some way, but I’m no psychologist.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:12 PM

Yeah, I know what you mean, man. It sucks, and it’s hard to make the sadness go away.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:09 PM

If you’re looking for me to do anything other than wallow in self-pity, then you’re on the wrong sub. I don’t particularly like Reddit, so I only really use it to vent, whine, and moan about my issues anonymously.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 10:46 PM

as long as he’s not complaining 24/7 Does that mean you won’t be my adoptive mom?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 10:40 PM

Would you prefer if o said the average woman from 20-30 then?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:16 PM
1

As I said, I work in a college town, so I don’t really even encounter older women much except when I go for groceries. Might be closer to 50% when I pass by a bunch of homeless people, but even then the only reason I wouldn’t date a homeless person is because the power dynamic might make it unethical.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:08 PM
1

I don’t mind anyone who is below 300 pounds or so, and considering the average even in America for women is only around 170 pounds or so, that doesn’t seem too restrictive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:51 PM

Oh hey, that’s basically me! So uh, how you doing?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 07:55 AM

I’m aware this doesn’t represent most men. I’m mostly doing this for fun, but also so that I have a specific number the next time someone wants to claim that I’m also not giving the average woman a chance. The women getting messaged less still get far more messages than their male counterparts. Maybe the relative amount isn’t as much, but the point is that there are still men going after them. Meanwhile, the unattractive men don’t get any attention. People try to act like things are always symme…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:49 AM

I fully agree. I’m not the one who thinks men and women act the same. It’s all the inane comments here which seem to believe this. That men are really just overlooking all the average, plump girls who want love. My point is that we’re not, because men are more willing to give their looksmatch a chance than a woman is.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:26 AM

Did you have options? I don’t, which is the main reason why I have to resort to this.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:41 AM

I try to see the good in most people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:41 AM

That’s fine. I don’t want to associate with superficial people anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:39 AM

This is exactly what women do here all the time. “No no, what you encounter irl doesn’t represent most women. I do though.” Don’t listen to me then. There’s that OKCupid study about men rating women on a bell curve, whereas women only rated around 20% above average.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:35 AM

One random guy having unrealistic standards is not really indicative of how most men feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:24 AM

Yeah, as is typical, it’s mostly just women projecting their own shortcomings onto men. Like they don’t want to ever admit there’s anything uncharitable that women do which men are not guilty of.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:17 AM

There’s that infamous OKCupid study where men’s attraction followed a bell curve, whereas women only found around 20% or so of the men to be above average. It would be interesting to see if this informal experiment mimicked those findings.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:16 AM

I would be willing to go on a date with any of the 80% or so of women that I find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:13 AM

There are lots of girls who are overweight but still manage to look pretty cute. Despite all the men moaning about fat women on this sub, I think irl most men don’t mind them so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:12 AM

Isn’t there a statistic that male virgins outnumber female virgins? I think women are actually having more sex than men in that more of them have had it at least once.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:02 AM

I’m kind of annoyed by all the women here projecting that men “also only think about Stacies” or “don’t notice the average woman.” I do some people watching when I’m bored, and I can confidently say I’m probably attracted to at least 80% of the women I see. (Tbf I work at a university with younger women, so it’s probably more skewed than if it were a place with loads of 40+ women.) Like, I’m tempted to literally do an experiment where I tally how many of the random women I see that I find attrac…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:00 AM

Delusional levels of cope to think that someone with that much status would still be unable to get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 03:57 AM

These responses are so cathartic to read. I feel like I’m losing my damn mind whenever the users on the virgin sub act like you’re some heinous villain for a white lie about experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 03:55 AM

The pro strat is to have a friend with a membership so that you don’t have to spend extra money, but you can still go there once in a while for some shopping or their pizza.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 03:53 AM

That was the most recent example that reminded me of this trend, but I’m pretty sure this has happened several times in the past on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 08:41 PM

Anyone else find it funny that people here make fun of how nobody ever comes with facts and research to back their beliefs, but then the second somebody does put in effort into this shitpost of a sub, the comments basically just call him a nerd lol.

I kind of wish we did not have a hardwired desire as humans to be aroused by the thought of these things. On the one hand, bringing a human life into the world is a serious responsibility and should be treated as such. And on the other, I can’t help but daydream about mindlessly having loads of babies with a woman.

I thought we talked about this already, but I’m a PhD student. I get paid as a teaching assistant.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 05:38 PM

I have a pretty creative imagination, but it has its limits. The thought of imagining not one, but two women interested in me is too absurd even for a hypothetical.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 05:03 PM
2

I think you have poor reading comprehension skills. I wasn’t making the comparison between Anthony and Brian; I was making the comparison between Brian and myself. Additionally, grad school is not like undergrad. I suspect you’ve never been to grad school if you’re making this comparison in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 05:02 PM

I love my work, but man is it possibly one of the worst jobs for my dating prospects. I’m insanely busy all the time, so I don’t have the time to constantly be going out or improving myself to get a woman’s interest. But unlike other jobs that keep one extremely busy, I don’t even make much money either, so I can’t even go the sugar daddy route. It’s the worst of both worlds.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:41 PM
1

Both would reject me, so I don’t care.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:37 PM
2

It seems like the only substantial differences between me and Brian then are that I make significantly less and am much shorter, so I suppose this just confirms some suspicions I had. The main things women look for are money and height.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:34 PM
2

No, I’m not much younger; I’m 26. I had a gap between undergrad and postgrad, plus it takes a long time to write a PhD thesis. But you are right that I do make significantly less money than Brian. Being a grad student doesn’t pay much.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:26 PM
2

A bit of clarification: I am not literally Brian. I’m just close to that age, in a STEM field, and unfortunately substantially shorter (5’5). But I think I get your point. I’m a PhD student, and the parties I go to are usually hosted by other grad students in my department. They’re not the sort of crazy, wild venues one might imagine of a party.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:17 PM
2

That question is kind of vague, but I’d say I do. I’ve gone to parties and bars and try to interact with people a decent amount.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:13 PM
1

So many women claiming they’d go for Brian, yet I’m basically Brian irl with absolutely no women interested in me 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:08 PM

Sex is something porn companies invented to cater to men. Think about it, have you ever seen sex irl? Wake up, sheeple!
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:04 PM
1

Be for real, most people of either sex who hate the opposite gender probably only do so because they’re terminally online and need to actually interact more with the opposite sex to be reminded of their humanity. This includes myself tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 04:01 PM

I’m more interested in normal boring activities :) Maybe I should buy some cocaine :(
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/24 02:05 AM

It’s not an uncommon phenomenon. *ncels do it all the time. They’ll say something misogynistic and if they’re called out on it, retroactively decide that it was just a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 03:06 PM
2

Almost. More like “I have a bad take that I want to get across, but I need to disguise it as a joke so people don’t think I’m out of my mind.”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 02:58 PM
3

I’ve seen this argument before and it’s pretty stupid. Is the comparison you’re trying to make implying that women are not attracted to men either? That seems an awful lot like you’re saying women are Chadsexual, literally only attracted to above average men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 02:49 PM
5

Bitterness doesn’t mean they’re femcels. It just means they’re misandrist. The point is that they still have plenty of men find them attractive.

Some times it just hits me that there are men out there whom women actually desire and form crushes on. It’s just never me. I can’t even imagine what it would be like for a woman to find me genuinely hot. Cute perhaps, in the same way a dog or a baby can be cute, but not somebody she would have any sexual interest in. I just wasn’t born the right way for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 02:44 AM

Holy shit, these comments are hilarious. Hoes mad, for some reason. This is seriously the most entertaining post I’ve seen on this sub in ages, so thank you OP. I had no idea how many scientifically illiterate people were on this sub, though I’m not at all surprised by how many do not want you spreading truth when it goes against their narrative in some way.

I’m going through another phase of bitterness toward women. I know I don’t have a legitimate reason; I’m just hurt by the loneliness. And I’m pissed that none of them wants me, whether it’s justified or not. I think it might just be stress making me irritable.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 06:27 AM

The thing I don’t get is that women have plenty of disadvantages in other areas of life. I don’t get why so many will refuse to acknowledge this one area where they actually have privilege. Like, if you want men to acknowledge their privileges more often, maybe a decent idea would be to acknowledge your own?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 06:22 AM

I’m in math specifically, but maybe it’s different in the sciences or engineering for all I know.

I agree on that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 01:45 AM

I guess their rationale is that if women aren’t empathetic to their issues (our issues?), then they don’t feel the need to be empathetic to theirs. I don’t know, I’m probably not in a good headspace to be answering this. I’ve been feeling pretty bitter again lately, so I feel like I’ll say something stupid out of anger.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 01:24 AM

Absolutely not my experience. Most of the men in my grad department are single. Maybe they’ve gotten laid—I don’t ask if they’re virgins lol—but they definitely aren’t in relationships.

I strongly disagree lol. Most of the graduate math department at my university is single men.

Tbf a lot of truecels develop that awful hatred after being unwanted and neglected, not the other way around. I’m not excusing it, but I think it’s disingenuous to act like it’s the cause rather than the effect.

My, as well as most unattractive men’s, experience contradicts this. That’s why it’s funny; it’s absurd. No woman has ever valued me as a romantic partner.

As someone on the other side (kind of, still just a grad student, but one day a prof), I kind of have this fantasy too, but I definitely would never act on it. I do think it would be fun to do cheesy roleplay with a non-student partner though.

I’m glad to hear you (hopefully) have a healthier work-life balance. I do admire your work ethic though. I’ve been pretty burnt out lately.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 01:55 AM

Are you still struggling with sleep deprivation? I know you work like a dog, so that probably doesn’t make it any easier. Yeah, I think looking at the physical health effects is a good way to get an objective sense of a problem. The issue with discussing emotional issues is that it’s hard to describe the pain in a universal way that everyone can understand. But things like dying earlier? That’s something most people get. Anyway, thank you for being a virgin ally lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 01:49 AM

I’m coping a bit with the muscles bit to be fair. I just have really low testosterone (which causes some of the other issues), so it’s harder but probably still possible. I just got pretty discouraged after making essentially no progress after five months of going to the gym 4-5 days a week. Alone, none of my problems would be death sentences. It’s the fact that I have all these negative attributes at once that doomed me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 01:33 AM

Damn, that sucks. I’d be so sexually frustrated. One of the blessings of having few women in math is that I think I only had three female professors, and they were all pretty old.

I’m 5’5. I have been practicing with talking to people for a while, but the progress is slow. I didn’t even learn how to make friends until just a year ago, more or less. And it’s less that I’m into girly things (I wish I were, as that might make it easier to chat to women), but more so that I can’t grow facial hair, have a high-pitched voice, and can’t put on muscles.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 01:22 AM
2

Yeah, I’m working on a PhD now, which doesn’t leave much time for self-growth or discovery. I try to push myself out of my comfort zone whenever I can, but realistically I likely won’t ever have enough time to completely overhaul my personality and lifestyle to the point where women would be interested. If you’re short, awkward, and low testosterone, then it’s such an uphill battle to even get a first date.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 01:18 AM

Thank you for your honesty. You should tell that to all the people coping by saying it doesn’t matter lol.

I think yours is the only advice so far that has actually resonated with me. Specifically the second paragraph. I’m trying to learn to let go now, since I’ve come to accept that it’s not going to happen. It’s hard to overcome the bitterness, but I think taking my religion more seriously has helped somewhat with that.

Well, I’ll just say that a trained professional probed me for a while trying to understand where it came from, and he didn’t really get anywhere. The only real factor we came up with is that I don’t really talk to my family much about my emotions, but plenty of people struggle with emotional vulnerability and still get laid. I think some people just don’t mind being alone too much, while others do. Most of the people I’ve come across online who are virgins are absolutely miserable about it. Hell…

Nah, I’m only 26. But honestly I’ve just given up at this point. Every once in a while I get a burst of motivation, but reality catches up to me before long. Unfortunately, drinking doesn’t really loosen me up much. For a while I assumed I just wasn’t drinking enough, and that led to some very risky behavior. I’ve just accepted that I don’t really get liquid courage.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 12:42 AM

Maybe you could try to convince women you’re Kevin Costner? How old are you by the way?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 12:39 AM

“…In reality have some form of childhood trauma” My therapist kept trying to go for that angle for a while too. But I had a really happy childhood, and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better upbringing. I recognize that I’m privileged in a number of ways (just the other day I felt really thankful that I have working legs, for instance), and a good childhood is one of them. I don’t think I really have much that’s weighing me down besides this failure to meet any woman’s standards.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 12:36 AM

But my bedtime is 10pm! Jokes aside, I do horrible in clubs. I don’t think that’s a viable strategy for me. My voice is too soft to be heard above the music, and I’m too socially anxious for it still. Might be years before I get to the point where I can succeed in a club setting.

What is an older virgin (25+) even supposed to do? I feel like once one reaches that point, even if he did magically land a girlfriend, the scars of the years of rejection would be too much to overcome. I don’t even know if I could love someone at this point. I’ve gotten too used to being alone, too addicted to porn, to bitter over rejection, too depressed, etc. All I ever wanted was a relationship, but I think at this point I think a hookup would be more appropriate. If you have truly given the sort of thing I was talking about a chance, then you are not the sort of person I am shaming. You have done more than what a lot of people are willing to do these days, and that is commendable. You tried it, and it didn’t work out, and that’s all one can do. However, I ask that you also recognize that your experiences are not universal. There is data to support that a lot of people (men and women if I recall) can develop attraction to a person the more they get to kno…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 06:22 PM

I’m sorry, but this is practically a non-sequitur. Women being afraid of rape and murder from a significant other would just make them less likely to engage in relationships altogether, not only engage in relationships with high-status or attractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:48 PM

Sure I can. If someone is drowning and people just stare and watch, then I will be pretty upset by their inaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:46 PM

You could give it a shot and see if attraction develops. Men already often have to do the same, especially when we’re unattractive ourselves and can’t reasonably expect to get with someone we feel strong attraction to.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:45 PM

When a guy says someone is mid, it’s more of an indication of how he feels about her personally, not her objective level of beauty. In your defense though, I think the point of the original comment bringing up Taylor Swift was asking for an objective rating. Mine would probably be a 7 or 8 out of 10. She’s hot, and well out of my league, but once again it’s nothing extraordinary. Loads of women I see are around that level of beauty.

I am aware that arousal is involuntary. It’s what you do with the arousal that matters. You can only pine after tall, wealthy, attractive men, or you can give unnoticed, lower status men a chance. You are free to make that choice, and I am free to judge you for your decision. And as I said in a different post, I don’t really expect that shaming will change women’s behavior on this either. But I do believe there should be some guilt and recognition of the consequences of these actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:41 PM

And you seem to miss the point every time this conversation comes up. No one here is doubting Taylor Swift’s adherence to conventional beauty standards. She is conventionally attractive, plain and simple. But there are two important caveats. One, that doesn’t mean she is everyone’s personal preference. And hell, even if she’s not, the baseline attractiveness is still more than enough for any guy here to want to be with her. Two, there are loads of women all over the world whom we find to be simi…

Because collectively your standards are too high, leaving plenty of men without an ability to feel intimacy or romantic connection. It doesn’t really matter if it’s “normal” or not. In some cultures it’s normal to abuse your wife; that doesn’t make it okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:32 PM
3

That’s just semantics. Ugly women are being approached on dating apps, or pursued if you’d like to use that word instead. Either way, it’s still showing that men are less picky, as ugly men are absolutely not finding any success on dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:25 PM
2

Nah, I criticize people if their actions harm others. Women’s actions are harming men. Can shame change their actions? Probably not, but they shouldn’t feel completely guilt-free about this either.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:24 PM

It might be a good idea to start working now though so that you have some money saved up for when you do have to live in an apartment. I do miss my meal plan days though. I can’t cook to save my life, so it was nice to have that option.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:21 PM
1

Well most people get into relationships. How else would these unattractive women get boyfriends if a man didn’t approach them at some point? And yes, men generally are super un-picky, especially the men who are unattractive themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:17 PM

Fully agree. I think women get offended over this because they get much more attracted to people based on status, so they expect men to feel that way too. But no, I’m not any more attracted to Taylor Swift than I am any other thin blonde woman. She’s attractive, but I see dozens of women just as attractive every day while I’m walking around town.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:11 PM

How do you afford rent and food and such then? I’m assuming you have scholarships to afford tuition at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:09 PM
9

How do people still believe this nonsense? This false equivalence has been thoroughly debunked already. Most studies show that while women only find a small handful of men physically attractive, men find most women physically attractive. These are not the same. If they were, there would be an epidemic of lonely women who don’t get pursued.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:08 PM
5

I’m not going to threaten rape or violence in retaliation because that’s awful and never warranted. But I will definitely continue to shame women for this. They are responsible for keeping a lot of men single and unhappy. You can’t pretend it’s not their choices that are directly causing this.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:03 PM

It’s much less about the biological perspective and more about the emotional damage of being this far behind in my development as a person. Kids a decade younger than I have more experience. I don’t even feel like a human being sometimes because of this shit.

I agree that male gaze is ubiquitous, but it’s paradoxically also shamed. If anything, it’s used as a means to prey on horny men by enticing them to consume a given product. But that doesn’t change the fact that anytime a man expresses a desire for sex, a desire reinforced by the constant bombardment of material prodding at his instincts, then he’s vilified as a pig. When was the last time you seriously heard a man say he didn’t care about getting to know a woman and just wanted to fuck her with…

Because saying things like “I’m into nerds” gives nerds false hope, and it’s kind of malicious imo. Most nerds are likely not going to meet her looks requirement, so the fact that she’s into nerds is frankly irrelevant. If it makes you feel better, I’ve seen the same thing happen to men on here. They’ll say they’re into a certain type of woman, and some bitter woman will reply “Yeah, but only if she’s thin!!” So it goes both ways. It would be disingenuous if she said she were only attracted to hot men, yeah. Because really she means “hot and nerdy.” I think a lot of men end up thinking they have chances since our preferences are typically “at least one, but more is good.” Whereas women’s preferences/requirements are apparently “all of the above.”

I think this is missing my original intent. I’m not specifically looking for women with my extremely niche interests. I’m just saying that I don’t really encounter many women in these areas either because they’re so male-dominated. And they definitely are male-dominated. There are loads of women with history degrees, but in my experience their interests tend to be more modern history (1800 and beyond). In general, I would say this is the period of history that most casual history buffs are reall…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 07:45 PM

My interests are all pretty much borderline autistic special interests that are extremely niche. The only other people into them would be autistic, and I’m pretty sure autistic men outnumber autistic women. Copied from another comment: Reading/learning about medieval history, video games with like 90% male player bases, and I’ve recently gotten into competitive Pokemon.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 04:00 PM

Reading/learning about medieval history, video games with like 90% male player bases, and I’ve recently gotten into competitive Pokemon. I’m trying to force myself to get into more normal stuff that takes me outside like rock climbing, but I don’t genuinely enjoy that stuff as much.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:57 PM

Time to pretend to be interested in something for the sake of getting with women. That sounds like it could backfire.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:45 PM

I don’t even have social media since I used to not even really have friends. Maybe that’s holding me back, but I’m so far behind with it now. I don’t even know what the kids use these days. Instagram? I’m not hot enough for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:43 PM

Does that mean the pegging offer still stands?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:42 PM

Apparently not. I’ve gone to parties and bars before though, and I never have any luck there either. I think I’d need to be more outgoing for anything like that to work for me.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:28 PM

Yes, because these women would rather be single than date someone in their league. If unattractive women weren’t so picky, there would be far fewer lonely men in the world.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 06:21 AM

Fair enough. I guess they’re more likely to post about it on the two X chromosomes subreddit afterward. Either way, chances of success are still slim.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/24 11:30 PM

I got rated as a 4/10 by somebody before, so not too ugly, but not really attractive enough for women either.

I feel like this is a little jaded of a response. I fully agree that the people who care the most about any given issue are just those affected by it. Like, I definitely don’t get as invested into black rights as much as a black person would, but I still generally care when they face injustice. And granted, I understand that the issues they face far surpass that of virgins. But still, my point is just that I don’t think you need to be the in-group to give a damn.

Then why do we selectively not care about it when it affects unattractive men? I know a lot of people call attention to similar dilemmas for, say, women. As an example, I often hear, “If you have sex with men, then you’re a slut. But if you don’t have sex with men, then you’re a prude who forces men to be lonely.” A very similar dilemma, and people justly get upset about this. But when this sort of thing for men gets presented, it’s brushed under the rug and the only response is, “yeah lots of p…

lol that’s true. I try to remind myself that dating isn’t about your overall worth as a person; it’s just an assessment of the particular set of traits women desire in men.

Exactly this. That’s another perfect set of examples.

Ever notice how people just hate sexually unsuccessful men no matter what they do? If we ask out tons of women, then we’re creepy sex pests. If we don’t ask women out, then we’re too shy and obviously we can’t expect to find a woman if we don’t try. If we hold out for someone we find attractive, then our standards are too high and we need to be more realistic. If we give up and try to settle for someone, then you get the explosion of angry comments like on that thread from the other day calling …

When I was in my teens to early twenties, my lack of success was explained by “women tend to prefer older, experienced men.” Now that I’m in my late twenties and into early thirties, my lack of success is explained by “women tend to be attracted to men their own age, who are in their prime.” Kind of funny.

Have you spent time with women Aside from friends, no. That’s kind of the whole point of my comment. People who have actually been chosen at some point are speculating here just as much as I am. I don’t really know what it’s like to only be with a woman who tolerates me, and I’d wager none of the people who responded really know what it’s like to be unwanted for your entire life (and no, a 3 year dry spell is not basically the same thing).

/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 05:00 PM

Most would. We don’t have any standards. I used to DM a bunch of women from the foreveralonewomen sub and other similar places asking if they’d like to chat to get to know each other since I’m similarly lonely. Guess how many responded.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 04:48 PM

Only positive thing about being a permavirgin is getting the superpower of disproving the supposed existence of any femcel. I can just ask “would you date me?” and then you get the mental gymnastics about how the answer is no but she also somehow doesn’t have any standards and never gets any opportunities.

I believe it. A lot of men can’t find any woman at all, let alone a good one.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 04:43 PM

Pink pillers don’t want blackpilled men at all. If women ever became as desperate as men are, there would be no lonely people left.

/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/24 07:05 AM

I’m not too convinced in the efficacy of meeting online in general. I’ve DMed several women over the years on Reddit, and on the rare instances when they do respond, it usually just fizzles out after a while anyway. Or they’ll live on the other side of the world too. But I guess since everything else I’ve tried has been a failure, maybe it still is my best bet :\
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 06:49 AM

That’s fair then. I thought it was more of just a joke response in lieu of “it’s over, bro.” I don’t really have any money or autism, so it makes sense why I didn’t get that answer.

Ngl it actually feels reassuring when people rate me low. It’s good to know that it’s not just all in my head. I was just given a shit hand, and there’s not much I can even do to get past it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 06:26 AM

I’m shocked I didn’t get that one tbh. I got the suggestion of asking through an online community, even though I answered that I’m not okay with dating someone 100+ miles away.

I don’t know. I posted my appearance on an alt, and I got rated 5-7, so I’m probably not too bad. I’m mainly just considering bottom of the barrel as those who have not received any attention from women, whatever the reason may be. I can DM you a pic of myself if you want to rate though.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 02:41 AM

I guess the goal is you to have to be her ideal. The type where she’s only into you. I disagree with inc*ls on this, because I do acknowledge that women do have variety here and can find different types attractive …provided you meet the looks threshold first. If you don’t, then there’s just not any point to any of this.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 02:17 AM

I’m unironically starting to buy into the rhetoric of women being “chadsexual” lol. Women have pretty much said as much as well. I remember when I made a shitpost about how easy “femcels” have it because they at least get asked out by men, and women compared it to a man being asked out by a man. They are literally not even sexually attracted to us “bottom of the barrel” men in the same way straight men are not attracted to men. TLDR: it never began.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 02:11 AM

I’ve hardly met any women who care that much about fitness. It’s usually just a desire for someone who’s not overweight, and I already clear that. I’d rather invest my time in something that actually pays dividends, like my career.

I genuinely don’t know how to say this without coming across as rude, but I’m kind of skeptical as to how attractive your friends are if they rarely get asked out, unless they’re like social recluses. Even on this subreddit, all you ever hear about is women complaining about being asked out too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 01:47 AM

Let me put this into video game terms since I’m awkward and that’s the only kind of metaphor I know. Let’s say you’re looking for an item that has a low spawn rate, maybe 1% or below. If you’ve been grinding for hours and it still hasn’t spawned, then sure maybe you’re just incredibly unlucky. But more likely is you are simply not doing the right thing to get the item to spawn in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 01:41 AM

I’m not sure what your point is. What you seem to be saying is that it did in fact eventually happen to you, which supports what I’m saying. Maybe 20 was too young of an age. Maybe 25 or even 30 would be better. I’m not advocating that little teens look at this and think their life is over if no girl in high school asked him out lol. But if you’re 30 and it hasn’t happened, then no amount of jumping through these other hoops is likely to change that.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 01:29 AM
1

Uncommon, sure. But would you believe a guy who claims to be a “Chad” if no woman has ever expressed interest in him before? The fact is, if you’re desirable enough, it happens eventually. It’s a litmus test for knowing how low your SMV really is.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 01:27 AM
3

If it happens regularly, then yeah you’re probably dating a Chad. I’d say “lucky you,” but I get the impression that most women these days won’t settle for anything less, so I guess it’s just to be expected.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 01:26 AM

I don’t mean to imply that anyone should rely on a woman asking him out. But if no woman has ever tried to approach you in some capacity, and you’re older than, say, 20… that’s probably a pretty strong indicator that none of this other x-pilled advice is gonna do shit for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 01:23 AM

I think that’s because some of the people complaining are in the 5’4 crowd. When you’re that short… yeah it kind of is the end of the world. There are some women who will date you, but your options are so limited that it’s a constant uphill battle. I am luckily at peace with the forever alone situation today. There’s a part of me that just doesn’t think it’s even worth the effort as an unattractive man to jump through all the hoops it takes to get some equally unattractive woman. It would be worth it for a woman I found cute, or if it didn’t take so much effort to get a homely woman, but it’s kind of the worst of both worlds here. Clearly they must have something going for them if they managed to find a woman. No one ever goes for a man unless he has something appealing about him. The same goes for women too I would imagine (except when it comes to truly desperate guys like me). A lot of them mog me anyway. Everyone has their demons and their past. I didn’t say that being a woman automatically makes life easy. But all else being equal, being in a loving relationship makes life better, or else you would not have gone through all that for his sake. Hell, for a lot of people, it’s all they really want out of life. Lots of people (men in particular) still have gone through shit, but they don’t even get their happy ending with someone to love.

Lmao this is not at all the comparison I’m trying to make. Obviously going through pregnancy is a tougher ordeal than having to plan and pay for a trip to Puerto Rico. I’m not trying to suggest that she doesn’t deserve the trip or anything ffs. I’m comparing her life of having a family, a lovely trip to Puerto Rico, and presumably a loving partner—to the life of one of her patrons who jerks off alone in his room hoping someone would give him a chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 05:23 PM

It’s merely a joke to point out the disparity in the quality of life between the two sexes here. I’m happy for her; a trip to Puerto Rico sounds nice. Being a woman isn’t necessarily an advantage in life, but I’d say having a relationship absolutely is, and it’s pretty plain to see that being a woman makes one much likelier to be able to get a relationship.

Thanks. But now that we’ve talked about it and I’ve realized how far behind I am, now I’m feeling less confident that I ever will get over that hump lol. Only 5% or so of men are still virgins past 25, and I don’t even want to know how few have never kissed. I don’t really know what’s so wrong with me, but apparently I’m extremely subpar.

I’ve tried several times to step out of my comfort zone, but it’s a long, arduous process when you have as bad social anxiety as I do. It’s not as easy as just forcing yourself to go to social events for instance, since I often go there and just get so anxious that I don’t initiate conversation with anyone or forget how to talk like a human. I am slowly getting better at that sort of thing, which is why I’m hoping I might get proficient by 30. But it’s not like I can just try hard enough and cha…

I’m not looking for hookups, so I’m hoping I’ll meet someone through church. It’s kind of a small community though, so I think it’s not too likely. If church doesn’t work out, I might try cold approaching. It also doesn’t seem too likely to work, but it’s pretty much the only thing I haven’t tried yet. I dunno, I’m trying to get better at accepting that it might just never happen for me. It’s depressing, but we all have our struggles in life.

I’m 26. Not having a home at this stage could be a yellow/red flag for some women who want their man to have his shit together. Nah, bars are a horrible scene for me. My voice is pathetic and quiet, so I can barely hear myself over loud music. Plus, I don’t really get liquid courage. I’ve tried going to bars before, and I just awkwardly sit there and get depressed hearing “How Soon is Now” play in my head.

It’s not really comparable imo. Some guys will not want to sleep with female virgins, but they’re pretty rare. Whereas lots of women will immediately raise a red flag if a man over 25 is a virgin. Our hands are tied; yours weren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:45 PM

I’m not enough of a weeb to know who that is. I just admire the weebs for finding an alternative to human relationships. But why would you pine after an image on a screen when you could just go outside and find a living, breathing man to be with instead? I would only lust after fictional characters because no real women want me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:30 PM

Then what ought an older virgin to do if a lot of women wouldn’t want to give anyone a chance who doesn’t have enough experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:02 PM

3D women are overrated. While it’s true that 2D women can’t love you, it’s not like 3D women will either. I admire the degens who can cope by just watching anime all day.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 05:07 PM

You can have a high sex drive without acting stupid lol. I’m incredibly horny almost all the time, but I know how to control myself. I think a lot of guys just don’t know how to control their urges, but in fairness I might just have an advantage because I’m low testosterone.

Thank you for offering one of the few responses that was actually interesting and had some thought put into it lol. Those are some good points. If both sexes were equally horny, then things would just be sex all the time. Sounds hot on paper, but that would definitely lead to a lot of issues down the line. Hell, I even think that the increasing sexualization of society is already causing issues, but that’s a pretty unpopular opinion on mostly sex positive platforms like Reddit. But I guess my qu…

Out of curiosity, why would a heightened sex drive be an inconvenience as a woman? I know for men it’s primarily an annoyance because of the scarcity of sex, but I’m not sure what issues women face with it.

I feel like it would definitely be better for men. But I guess I was curious if there would be any unforeseen consequences. Maybe it would be frustrating for women because they’d want to fuck more men, but they’d likely be equally dissatisfied with the sex since most of their enjoyment doesn’t come from the physical or visual side anyway.

I assume you had to go to the ceremony for work, but it amuses me to think you just pop in for fun. Yeah, I also turned to religion to deal with the loneliness. I think I’m finally reaching a zen state where I don’t care as much about being alone anymore. There are more and more days where I’m not depressed by it anymore. I think going back to online dating actually helped, because I’m realizing the women out there aren’t really worth the effort anyway.

I don’t know. I feel like I’ve heard too many horror stories. It’s sadly more likely to happen if you’re socially awkward and unattractive, which I am.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 06:00 AM
2

I wish there was a way to snap my fingers and make it so that there was no risk of a woman freaking out if I cold approached. I think a major cause of a lot of men’s romantic difficulties stems from the fact that society makes us feel like we aren’t allowed to do this anymore. Before anyone says “muh social circle,” I get it. That works really well for people who meet like 5 people per week. But not everyone can be a social butterfly. Some of us don’t meet enough women for that to be a viable st…

I should have said a cause rather than implying that it’s the cause. It is very true that a lack of platonic kinship also is a very serious component of male loneliness. But frankly, I dispute that it’s the only factor. I have some friendships that I’m happy with, but I’m still extremely lonely because of being unwanted as a partner. Solving the one issue may help the other, but it won’t make it disappear. It’s part of the human condition to want to be wanted, to find love with another person. F…

There are a million groups that are suffering. It is simply impossible to genuinely empathize and care deeply about every single marginalized group. I care most deeply about undesired men’s issues because I am one of them. I don’t think it’s that absurd.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 05:18 AM
3

I understand that, because it’s become taboo to cold approach women, most of the men approaching you probably will just be redpilled bros looking to score the way their guru taught them. So I won’t fault you necessarily for turning down cold approaches out of hand. But I think it’s equally important to not treat cold approaches like they’re automatically harassment either (obviously they can be, and frequently are sadly, but I’m talking about respectful approaches here). That is something that I…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 05:13 AM
10

Do the women who reject all cold approaches realize that not everyone has a massive social circle? Even if you have a moderate amount of hobbies and avenues to meet people, it’s quite likely that the only women one might meet are already taken. What then? Just sit and pray that you eventually meet someone new just so you can have a chance of her even being available? This sort of nonsense is what’s causing the loneliness epidemic in men imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 02:42 AM
1

It doesn’t really do much directly, but I think understanding the issue is key to solving it. For instance, I honestly think there should be therapists trained specifically for helping undesired men. A lot simply don’t really know how to adequately address the problem, and I think recognizing its severity can be a key step in that direction.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:05 PM

I think most people know how bad loneliness can be because most have suffered from loneliness at one time or another Actually, that shows why a lot of people, including you potentially, do not understand how bad this problem is. Everyone feels lonely at times indeed, but being a lifelong reject is very different from the typical loneliness one feels when they’re going through a rough spot. People falsely assume it’s the same feeling, and then use that to downplay what is a much more severe strug…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 03:18 PM

Yeah, but I wanted to highlight the severe psychological consequences it has too. It warps the way a lot of us see ourselves and others. Feelings of despair, suicidal ideation, lack of empathy, endlessly morning missed milestones, dreading interactions with the opposite sex, inferiority complex, and more all seem to be common repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:33 AM

I looked up the definition and it does seem to imply that it’s caused by a specific occurrence, whereas undesirability is more of a chronic condition. So I’m inclined to agree with your assessment. However, I wish there was a better way to convey to others how much this condition can fuck up someone’s sense of self worth and mental health. I think a lot of people underestimate how severe the consequences can be, especially the longer it lasts. As cliched as it is to say, I’m pretty sure loneline…

I have nothing against them as people, but I can’t imagine ever being in that kind of relationship. I’d just be way too jealous. Besides, I want to give my love to one person. It doesn’t feel as special otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:20 AM

Do you think going one’s life without any sexual or romantic desire could count as trauma? I know that’s a heavy word, but for a lot of older virgins like myself, it seems to have completely warped our psychology to such a degree that the term honestly feels warranted. But I’m hesitant to use it because I know I’ll get responses like “wow imagine feeling traumatized for not getting your dick wet. Way to be a whiny brat!”

/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:08 AM

Depending on the woman, it might be unreasonable to want someone you find attractive. I’m at the bottom of the barrel for instance, and it would be crazy for me to hold out for some woman I actually think is hot. Whether it’s reasonable or not though, it’s hard to give credit to the people who claim men and women’s dating troubles are equal in severity. Women are lonely because they can’t get their Prince Charming, and men are lonely because absolutely no one wants us.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/24 06:33 PM

I exist to help women with their inferiority complexes. Just taking one look at me is enough for them to go, “I may suck, but no way I’d settle for that.”

Just FYI there’s a typo in the response options to one of the questions. I think it’s the one asking if the respondent believes women manipulate men to get ahead (if not, it’s on that page). The top option, which is usually “strongly disagree” is instead a duplicate “strongly agree.” This might potentially throw some people off. Also I agreed to an interview, but as a warning, I might chicken out because I’m not sure if I want my face or voice being identified with inceldom. This could negativel…

You’d be surprised lol. Tbf though, I suspect that they have other interests; they’re just really bad at showcasing their personality on the apps. It’s a skill that a lot of men struggle with, and I think women might generally be equally terrible at.

That’s what I’ve been focusing on for a while, but man it takes an eternity to rid oneself of social awkwardness and shyness. I’ve been working on it for about 8 years now, and I still have much more progress that needs to be made.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:38 PM
1

I think it is comparable actually. Women less often are physically aroused by guys, and it’s more of the emotional connection that draws them in. If anything, the man following Instathots is less likely to cheat, because the odds of any of those girls on Instagram reciprocating interest is tiny.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:34 PM

Likes the office and dogs and nothing else. Talking to them is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:27 PM

Nope. I worked out in the past, but I realized I basically got no benefit out of it. Now I just do and eat whatever I want, and it’s pretty chill. I think it’s only a huge benefit if you’re overweight or treat it like a full time job.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:25 PM

People can do whatever they want obviously, but I don’t think it really makes sense to have a stay at home husband or wife if there aren’t kids involved. It’s only really a full time job equivalent when there are kids in the picture.

I have actually been getting matches on Hinge this week. Maybe there is hope after all. Granted, I’m not too into them and they’re not too into me, but maybe this is what settling looks like? I guess it would probably be naive to think a 26 year old virgin would be able to attract someone who is really into him, or for me to be really attracted to anyone who’s that desperate I guess. Either way, I’m hoping I can go on a date for the first time in about 5 years. If nothing else, maybe it could be…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 03:26 AM

Idk I’m just bitter at women who got to do what I want lol. Something about it being harder to find a committed man at that age and a revenge fantasy.

I’m aware of the rules. I’m bitching about the rules, which is technically not against the rules as far as I can tell.

the point is not recruiting more people into sadness Who said we’re recruiting? We’re just trying to vent about our own pain, not tell other people their lives are over. But if some people see how shitty our lives are and how the blue and red pills failed us, then I can see how someone might become blackpilled. That’s not my fault for being evidence for it though. If you want men to stop becoming blackpilled, you need to fight the struggles which lead men into these hopeless situations in the fi…

Fair enough, but I already go to therapy, and I still feel the need to vent in other places. It’s not enough. Yeah, it is circle jerky in blackpilled subs, which is why I would prefer to sadpost in subs with more varied perspectives to challenge my thoughts. But our blackpilled thoughts aren’t allowed anywhere else, so we’re forced into the circlejerk subs, and the thought patterns continue.

At least one of us still has hope lol

I’m happy for you, dude. Glad to hear it!
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 03:07 PM

Why can’t we have a single place to vent? If you think it’s depressing just listening to us periodically, imagine how much more depressing it is to live like this.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 03:03 PM
2

I don’t. You seem to be fixated on this today for some reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 06:49 AM

Could it possibly be that there are a lot of systemic issues that men are facing, which then cause many men to not be okay?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 05:00 AM
1

Where do you start if even the unattractive women don’t want you lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 12:37 AM
1

Interesting. I’d actually appreciate that guy’s advice. I think no matter what though, I’m probably done giving unattractive women a chance. I don’t know why I bother settling for women who don’t even want me back. If no one’s gonna like me anyway, I might as well pine after cute women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 12:31 AM
1

I agree that it wasn’t necessarily my looks. Another explanation could be that I took too long to reply (I was busy most of today and also wasn’t too sure if it would be a good idea to chat if I wasn’t attracted to her). But it still hurts regardless of what the reasons are. It wouldn’t be such an issue if I had other options, but I don’t. I never seem to be what anyone is looking for.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 12:25 AM

I think that was the most respectful comment I’ve ever gotten from someone who identifies as pink pilled. Thank you for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 12:14 AM

That’s fair. I don’t know why I redownloaded the apps tbh. I already know they don’t work for guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 12:13 AM
1

That’s reasonable. I’d go crazy for even a couple of options. I sometimes forget that regular guys actually can and do meet women and form relationships. It’s only us subhumans who have to go on a journey of self discovery, jump through a million hoops, and change our whole personalities to have even a chance with some unattractive, lazy woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 12:12 AM
1

I should just give up trying to understand how dating works for normies. I project my own experiences and assume that’s the norm for most people, but then I forget that I’m just unfuckable.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:59 PM
5

I don’t know if redpillers believe this unironically, but I know a lot of incels would post this, despite knowing it’s scientifically inaccurate, just because they knew it pissed women off.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:50 PM
1

On the other hand, how many people are really out there meeting 200+ people per month? Even for an extrovert in NYC, that seems like a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:46 PM
1

Fair enough, that excludes me, I guess. A 7/10 having 4 dates out of 200 new people (2% match rate) is fucking abysmal, but that does seem to reflect reality with all the hoeflation going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:44 PM

Speaking from experience, both can be true. I was just commenting in this thread about how I finally got a like from someone on Hinge. I wasn’t attracted to her at all, but I was desperate enough to give it a shot anyway. But before I could even message her, she unmatched me. So I resent women who don’t meet my standards because even they think they’re too good for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:42 PM
1

Didn’t you rate me a while back? If so, either your rating or these stats don’t work too well, since I can’t get a single date.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:39 PM

I literally can’t even imagine a woman approaching me. Feels less real than me somehow learning to become a Jedi or some shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:35 PM

True, I’m envious of gay men. Gay guys are so much less picky than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 11:34 PM

It’s fine. I don’t expect strangers on Reddit to care. I’m just here to vent, and hope someone can talk some sense into me so I don’t go full blown incel over this.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 10:45 PM
2

Turns out I was the delusional one for even thinking I had a league. I blame Reddit users for telling me I looked “average”.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 10:40 PM
6

Turns out that getting unmatched by someone you’re not even attracted to can somehow hurt even more than being unmatched by someone you are attracted to. At least with the latter, I already would have known she was out of my league. Now I have to contend with the fact that I’m even less desirable than I thought.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 10:31 PM
2

I guess that makes sense. Skinniness is attractive in women, but not really in men from what I’ve gathered.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 09:42 PM

Also, if I succeed, no one is allowed to say attraction isn’t a choice anymore. Desperate people can learn to lower their standards.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/24 09:22 PM

It’s always funny when people ask why I’m alone and then don’t reply. I can’t help but imagine them thinking, “Shit, this guy really is fucked.”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 08:15 PM

Sure, but it’s probably also better for women too. As long as monogamy stays the norm of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 05:10 PM

No, this wouldn’t eliminate the Y chromosome. The goal would just be to make it less common. Maybe 3 women for every 2 men or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:36 PM

It’s definitely brought up in that context as well. Either way, we both seem to agree that it’s an accurate assessment, so I don’t think the gender imbalance would be too much of an issue for women. I definitely think a major factor for men struggling with relationships is our difficulty socializing. It’s pretty obvious since relationships are also a social function. But that’s not really my point with this thought experiment. Men’s social ability would be unchanged in this hypothetical, but rel…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:35 PM

I’m not sure what you’re getting at with your first paragraph. Do you think it’s cope? Because women bring it up all the time to defend why they don’t settle for male virgins. I take women at their word generally. In regard to the second paragraph, I don’t think the number of men is the issue. We men have trouble socializing in general; it’s not like we have a lack of male friends due to a lack of options. And besides, if men wanted friends, they could still have female friends in this hypotheti…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:21 PM

I’m glad I have a masturbation addiction then. I don’t like these dreams ruining my mornings.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:14 PM

The world would be a much better place if there there were fewer men than women, but not for the reasons red pill often claims (I don’t support harems lol). Think about it. It’s brought up again and again that women are more okay with loneliness than men are. So if there were 3 women for every man, then sure 2 in 3 women would generally end up alone, but that doesn’t bother them much. Further, with fewer men to go around, there would be less competition for women, so men might have higher chance…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 03:38 PM

Men either have no women interested in them or can get just about any girl’s interest. Cheating would probably be a lot less common if it weren’t for hypergamy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 03:34 PM

There are a myriad of factors. Before I go into the specifics though, I should preface by saying I’m 26. It’s pretty likely that if I haven’t been able to make it work by this age, I will never be able to make it work. There are two main categories of hang-ups for me, and I’d say they are as follows. Men and women alike describe me as effeminate. I’m short, my voice is soft, I can’t grow facial hair, and I just generally have a baby face and “weak” look to me. I don’t have common interests. This…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 03:24 PM

Thanks for the reassurance, but I’m not too worried about it. For me, planning on how I could be a better lover is like planning for a zombie apocalypse or something. I don’t really concern myself much with things I doubt are ever going to happen, just on the slimmest off chance that something does occur.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 02:59 PM

I don’t feel guilty; I feel depressed. But “woe is me” content is not allowed, so I can’t really get into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 02:44 PM

I would probably be a bad lover. I’m still a virgin, so I can’t know for sure, but I have reason to believe it (and no, it’s not just because my dick is small, but that is also true lol). I have little control over my tongue, so I would be pretty terrible at oral, and I also can only last under a minute usually. I’d be pretty insecure about these things if I actually had any realistic belief that I’d ever get laid. One of the few upsides of being a hopeless virgin is that I don’t ever need to wo…

I haven’t dreamt about romance in a long time, but last night it actually happened. I was finally getting blissfully numb to loneliness, and then I had to be reminded how much I still crave affection. I don’t want to do anything today. I just want to go back to that dream.

Obviously 2X is going to have a high distribution of women lol, but that’s an exceptional sub that is specifically dedicated to women. But I’ll grant you this, and the statistics for Reddit’s user base seem to be changing. One source said that as of this year, 38% of users are women. That’s still less than half, but it’s higher than I thought it would be. Lastly, you need to be more nuanced in your terminology, I think. Posts that are critical of women are rampant here, but that doesn’t mean the…

I don’t think anyone is asking you to explain why other women would feel this way. I’m calling out that “one person doesn’t like you” is a strawman here, because it’s a sentiment with which many women agree, whatever their reasons may be.

Isn’t that more or less the ratio of men to women on most subs though? Reddit in general has a wider male user base than female. Also idk what you’re going on about with blackpill content being tolerated here. I’m blackpilled, and I have to be very careful with what I say to avoid being banned. The mods have explicitly stated that our opinions are not welcome here (though I choose to stay anyway).

Beautifully put. I try to tell myself that it’s heroic in a way to still choose kindness over hate even when no one shows it to you, and when you spend your life being unwanted. If I heard someone say mermaids could be evil, I’d probably ignore the crazy unless I was pretty bored. On the contrary, when someone makes a comment about women’s sexual history having a negative impact on them, then the comment section explodes with people crawling out of the woodwork to dispute it. Clearly, even if they think the statement is factually wrong, it is causing quite a fuss. And it makes sense too. Let’s use something we both (presumably) agree is false to illustrate my point. Say…

I think the fact that everyone seems to be focusing on dismantling that accusation speaks volumes to how much it emotionally affects people, even if they think it’s untrue. For the record, I once again stress that I don’t really believe that assertion either. My point in bringing it up was merely that comments like this, which seem on the surface to only be making an observational claim about dating dynamics, can still carry shame with them. You should be a politician. The whole time you’ve dodged the question of whether or not “sex damages pair bonding ability” is a shaming tactic. I know you know it is. That is what I’m saying, and if that’s a shaming remark, then so are the comments I highlighted about sexual inexperience in men being a sign of failure. The veracity of these statements is irrelevant: a woman who has had lots of sex would likely still be upset by claims that it damaged her ability to pairbond even if she was certa…

I’m not here to argue whether the sentiment is true or not. I have no dog in that fight. But it is a sentiment that is expressed, and I’m sure you’d count it as a shaming tactic. Because people seem to have a much stronger emotional reaction to it than they would if it were just some illogical assertion, like saying the earth is flat. Also interesting that you feel the need to dispute the claim about the character of sexually experienced and (typically) women, but had no qualms about the mirror …

I think the reason I struggle so much is that letting go of the anger and resentment makes it feel like I’m giving up, and just acquiescing to a world that puts me down and makes me feel less than them. I admire your resilience. I live the best life I can, but unfortunately romance and affection are things I deeply desire, so I don't know if I'd even be able to say that I’m living a good life. I have other accomplishments, but they don’t detract from the pain of loneliness and being unwanted.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 04:02 PM
2

Is it not sl*t shaming if one speculates that “lots of repeated casual sex encounters leads to damaged ability to pairbond”? It’s more nuanced than just “eww a hoe”, but at the end of the day it’s still shaming an individual for his or her sexual history, regardless of whether there is rational thought behind it or just malice. Likewise with the virgin shaming.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 03:57 PM

I do actually want to hear this, and I thank you for the comment. I let my emotions get the best of me sometimes, but at the end of the day I agree with the sentiment that adding hate only makes the world worse for everyone. It’s very challenging to not fall into this trap as an older virgin, so I’m still struggling to learn to “turn the other cheek”, as it were.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 03:53 PM

There was a thread yesterday saying the opposite, that virgins should still try to go after women their own age because it’s not a death sentence. And loads of the replies were still shaming virgin men by saying that if they’ve reached 30, then they probably have serious flaws and won’t ever be able to attract a woman. I can pull up the thread if you didn’t see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 03:49 PM

I’ve been seeing a lot of virgin shaming on this sub again lately. I wonder if it’s in response to slt shaming. If it is, then it’s a terrible strategy though, because it just makes me want to slt shame in retaliation. It’s a vicious cycle.!’ It’s also funny how “blckpill” content is not allowed”, but there are loads of comments and posts about how a 30 year old virgin is hopeless or whatever. I guess it’s only an issue I* make these kinds of hopeless statements.

Yes, I am trying to lose my virginity and failing. But I don’t think that being a virgin is a factor in my failures. The reasons for my struggles are the same as they’ve always been.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 02:54 PM
2

No, it’s not. But I’d say it counts as being an older virgin. I think the statistic is that around 95% of people have lost their virginity by age 25, so I’m well behind the curve at this point.

Well duh, if I could get dates, I probably wouldn’t be a 26 year old virgin lol. My point is that I’ve never encountered anyone irl say it would be a dealbreaker. Most don’t actually care that much.

Some people resent their parents because their expectations were too high, or because they suffered abuse, or because their parents were neglectful, or because their parents didn’t even love them. There are a million reasons why someone might have a rocky relationship with one’s parents, and honestly in the grand scheme of all these things, being forced to go to church and read religious text isn’t that awful. There are worse ways religion has been forced on children.

It’s always the same old story. “I’d date a shorter guy but it just so happens…” I don’t really care unless a woman is actually with a guy who is short. Otherwise it’s all just talk.

Not the same height, but not tall enough either. Women almost always go for a guy significantly taller than she is. Just like you.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 04:26 AM

Yeah, this supports my point. People here will say “oh, just find someone shorter! There are plenty of women below 5’6!” But they don’t account for the fact that a 5’4 woman is going to think I’m practically the same height as her, which will turn most of them off.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 03:57 AM

Ever notice how most guys with girlfriends aren’t just taller, but like a full head taller? That’s nearly 6 inches. So if you’re 5’6 like me, the max height I could realistically hope for is like 5’ even. That’s such a small percentage of the population where I live, and that’s before taking into account literally anything else, like personality, compatibility, and other physical requirements. Is virginity even seen as a red flag in women? Isn’t it generally valued?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 03:07 PM

This post just sounds like a man larping to validate his own insecurities. And I say that as someone who also has these insecurities. Just look at the post history; it’s hard to believe this person exists. And even if she does, clearly these posts are meant as nothing more than bait. Don’t know how people fall for it tbh.

The issue is female hypergamy. The 0/10 women do not want their male counterparts. I have reached out to women in the past from foreveralonewomen and femcels; they all ignore or reject my attempts to get to know them. Hell, the sub for FA women even went private for a while because too many men were trying to ask them out lol.

Some of us come to the blackpill, not because we don’t want to try anything, but because we’ve been trying all the typical advice for years to no effect.

We resort to those things because we’ve given up hope on women genuinely wanting us. Obviously I’d prefer a real, loving wife over an AI simulacrum, but the latter is sadly more realistic of a wish in the year 2023. Besides, if I ever do find someone, it would probably be because I would have to settle. Why is it so unreasonable to expect women to do the same?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 03:56 PM

Hearing the jannies complaining about the incel problem on this sub gives me such a power trip lol. Just the mere existence alone of men like me pisses them off so much.

I’m blackpilled and I’ve found that I can generally get away with voicing my opinion, as long as I do it in a nuanced way. Maybe it’s just because the mod team is understaffed, but I’ll enjoy it while I can.

I’ve seen fat women get into relationships. I’ve seen ugly women get into relationships. I’ve seen mentally disabled women get into relationships. All without effort. If your friends aren’t getting attention, that just means it’s not the attention they desire. They could be with a guy, but it would be their male equivalent, and their standards are too high for that. As an incel, the reason lonely men and lonely women don’t get together is always the lonely women. They’re always rejecting guys li…

This is bullshit. Men and women’s difficulties and struggles are compared in every other arena, often when men have it easier. That’s what a lot of feminism is built around. If you think men and women’s issues shouldn’t be compared, then why is there so much discourse centered around how women are performing in the job market in comparison to men (see the wage gap for example)? You reap what you sow. Women introduced the comparisons between the sexes into the discourse, and now you’re unhappy wh…

lol no there aren’t. I’ve debated this a lot on this forum actually. Every woman, no matter how ugly, can receive validation and be desired. If you don’t believe me, look up the pig woman experiment.

There’s a lot to respond to here, so I probably won’t hit everything. Again, I’m not suggesting that the struggles of these bottom 5% are reflective of society at large. However, I can compare them to how women at a similar level experience life. And what’s extremely telling is that there is no female analogue of these men. There are no women at all who cannot find any sexual attention, any validation from men. You also spent a good deal of time talking about men who are voluntarily virgins at t…

Whatever the causes may be, the fact that there are no female incels speaks volumes on whether it’s just as difficult for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:58 AM

I doubt it. Plenty of incels think of themselves as having garbage genetics, so I imagine normal men also have similarly low views of themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:42 AM
1

Can you define what bottom tier men are? Sure. I think it’s a thorny issue to isolate what the causes are, so I tend to focus instead on the outcome. I’m talking about the men who are virgins later in life, say above the age of 25. These are not common by any means, but they do make up roughly 5% of the population. These are the men who have no options, other than exploiting a meth head, I guess. But that’s not just a bad option like what women have, it’s actively not an option. Besides, even if…

Women having other issues in dating does not imply that their issues are comparable in severity. Your reasoning is faulty.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:00 AM

And we have no standards because we have no options. It’s a chicken and egg situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:55 AM

Lmao imagine judging someone’s entire personality based off of one venting post on Reddit. Let me turn this around. You seem quick to make ad hominems. You must get no attention irl either. Don’t worry though; if you improve your personality more, then maybe you’ll be more dateable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:55 AM
8

It is still a man vs. woman thing. It’s just easier to compare at the bottom strata of both genders. Bottom-tier men get no options whatsoever, and are likely to never receive any validation whatsoever. Bottom-tier women can get all kinds of validation through social media, apps, body positivity, etc.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:40 AM

Do you have anything specific in mind? I’ve never come across anything that suggested there are any women out there who actually struggle with dating. They might be lonely, but not to the extent that they would rather date anyone than be lonely. Men would rather date anyone than be lonely, so I feel like it’s safe to conclude that male loneliness is more severe.

I read a study recently that trans men are starting to catch up in terms of numbers to trans women supposedly. So my question is just… where are they? I’ve met loads of trans women, but I think I’ve only met one or two trans men in my life. Is it just me? Are they just better at passing?

As someone who personally agrees with that sentiment, I think it’s bogus. No one can compare the two. People who are unloved have no idea what it’s like to lose a loved one, and people who have lost a loved one have no idea what it’s like to go so long without ever being loved.

“Women devote their time to maintaining their looks […] or we don’t get any positive male attention.” Lmao this is such bs and you know it. A woman could walk out the door with 0 make up, awful hair, and probably even bad hygiene and still have plenty of suitors. Unless you only count male attention as positive if it’s coming from 6’ dudes making 6 figures.

I mean, I don’t think wanting a guy above 5’2 is incredibly high standards (unless she’s unattractive herself). It just is brutal to see how quickly you get rejected for being short. Nothing else matters if you’re too low.

Interesting. Guess I just slipped through the cracks for a while.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/23 04:11 AM

Was the “no woe is me” rule always around? Or did I literally bitch so much on this sub that the mods had to add a new rule? Either way, I guess I’m gonna have to find a new sub to vent in now. The virgin sub is usually okay, but most of the time I don’t really have anything warranting a full post. And it’s more fun when I can shed light on how hopeless dating is to normies. The virgins there already know how brutal it is.

As an incel myself, I definitely relate and used to think like this too. But it’s important to realize that being a good person has effectively nothing to do with dating success, so we shouldn’t take our failures as criticisms of who we are as people. You can be a shitty person with tons of sex, or an amazing person with tons of sex. You can also be a shitty person who never gets laid and an amazing person who never gets laid. So much. I can’t pick one, so I chose two. I wish people acknowledged that some guys are completely screwed. You don’t have to be a misogynist piece of shit to have trouble with women. Sometimes all it takes it two really bad qualities that are hard to change: like being autistic and short, or shy and unattractive. If you don’t meet this minimum threshold for basic attractiveness, then the chances you’ll get any affection in life is practically nil. I also wish people acknowledged that while inc…

I still disagree. Most men are less restrictive about their sexual partners then their romantic partners. So if they’d date Belle, they’d also be willing to sleep with her. Plain and simple, the average woman is never going to have a shortage of suitors. The second paragraph kind of agrees with my point though. The guys who look like LeFou know Belle would never give them a chance, so they call these Belles out on their BS about “just wanting a guy with a good personality.” No, you want a hot gu…

You triggered my trap card. I’m about to rant about how femcels cannot and do not exist now. Any woman could always get with a guy if she lowers her standards enough (not to say she should necessarily, but the option is there). In other words, her celibacy is voluntary. Conversely, plenty of ugly men could not find literally anyone to date them, fuck them, or even touch them with a five foot pole. Show me a supposed femcel, and I’ll show you a liar. I would almost certainly date her since I have…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:43 AM

Unfathomably based. Thank you for actually being sensible lol. Only thing I might disagree with is the “every age group” part. I think once you reach 40 or so, it might technically be in men’s favor, as it starts getting harder for women to attract men with their looks at that age. Some still totally pull it off, but not everyone can. And the data reflects this, as that age range is when there finally start to be more single women than single men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:38 AM

I don’t think my post was really about that anyway. I was just venting about the people who pretend unattractive women can have it just as hard as unattractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:35 AM

And? I’m not talking about the average man’s experience here. I’m comparing the bottom tiers of both men and women, and low value women generally do not face as many issues with getting validation or even relationships as their male counterparts.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:29 AM

I didn’t say you don’t have struggles. You just don’t have the same struggles as men. You don’t need to worry about a lack of validation, for instance.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:27 AM

It’s kind of funny that one of the few privileges women have over men is being able to find dates and sex much easier, yet some will act like men have the advantage even there. Like, give me a break. It’s one of the most demonstrably false assumptions that you have to be seriously ideologically brainwashed to believe. Spend five seconds on Tinder and you’ll disprove the existence of “femcels.” And before anyone says it, I know that it can still be a struggle to find a guy who actually likes you …

I don’t think you can get an honest rating online as a woman. Either you’ll go to a white knight subreddit where they all rate you as drop-dead gorgeous in a competition to be the biggest simp, or you’ll get the other extreme where you post on an “honest” rating sub where they call you little better than a mule because you’re a woman and they’re pretty bitter about that. I can’t think of any place where you’d get a genuine assessment.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:38 AM

Someone who saw my pic called me a Chadlitelet, and it is the highest praise I have ever gotten lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:29 AM

Are normal men’s numbers really that low too? That’s honestly kind of depressing. Are guys really even finding their dream partner, or is it just them coming to grips with “if I don’t stay with her, I might not get another chance for years?” It’s like a less extreme of an issue I’ve been thinking about lately. I can’t even find one woman to like me, but suppose I finally did find someone. What if I don’t like her back? I guess the right answer is to not stay with her if I don’t really care much …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:25 AM

I don’t know much about this, but I feel like it’s important to find someone who specializes in autism if you have the condition. It’s a pretty significant factor that means most generic advice probably won’t be as effective.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:20 AM

I like woolly mammoths if that counts.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:18 AM

I think it still shows a fundamental disconnect though. She is right that women don’t really think much about unattractive men, and thus they aren’t judged in the same way unattractive women are. But she seems to conclude that this means unattractive men have it better. We don’t; we just have different issues. We ugly men struggle more with actually finding someone to find us attractive. Because even though ugly women may be judged harshly, there will still generally be some guy who finds her be…

That’s a nice story. I’m happy that you gave an awkward guy a chance. I was kind of hoping it might inspire me with hope for something similar to happen to me, but I don’t think I could see it happening. Usually when you try to make small talk as an ugly/awkward guy, you just get stories like this that happen to you. I’m just gonna keep minding my business at bookstores I think. Again though, thank you for sharing, and I’m glad you’re one of the few good people out there.

Being skinny is ugly if you’re also short. The only way short guys can compensate and look masculine is by being fit and muscular. I’ve heard some women say they find short (and strong) men attractive, and some women say they find skinny (and tall) men attractive, but never heard a woman who was attracted to a short, skinny guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 11:47 PM

Perhaps. And perhaps if you were a man you would be more sympathetic about why some of us come to such insane suggestions. Just saying that there’s no solution to a truly existential crisis we’re facing feels about as awful as saying that there’s no solution to misogyny or that there’s no solution to climate change. Maybe it’s true, but the defeatism is soul-crushing.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 08:01 PM

I believe that’s true for ODEs as well, no? And I suspect you would also have to check that your solutions you calculate actually satisfy continuity and differentiability. I’ve heard that can sometimes be an issue.

No one wants to look at the average man. Women rate most men below average in terms of looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:19 PM
2

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m wondering if I should take roids. A lot of people tell me I look weak and effeminate, and the gym isn’t helping that much. Ideally I would just find a way to go 6 hours a week, but it’s impossible to fit that much time into my schedule. I dunno man, it’s probably a bad idea, but I feel like I’m out of options. People even said that I pretty much don’t have much else I can improve either, so I guess I’m looksmaxxed at a 3/10.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:18 PM
6

That’s the million dollar question. If we all agreed on what that was, this sub wouldn’t exist. Personally, I think you have to reach a certain looks threshold and also be decently charming or charismatic in some way. Both criteria are beyond my ability.

For men, being desired by a woman either sexually or romantically is how we receive validation. Prostitutes do not desire their patrons; in fact they often detest them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 07:03 AM
5

But there isn’t an objective sense of humor. You can’t know you’re funny. You are only funny, by definition, if others find you funny. It’s similar with the feeling of validation surrounding being attractive. If you are not attracting anyone, then you are not attractive, by definition. No amount of feeling positive about oneself is going to change that facet. It’s not unhealthy to disagree lol. That’s some echo chamber/thought policing bs. To clarify, I’m not saying self confidence or self valid…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 06:09 AM

And other people here have said you’re their type too. It doesn’t mean much. Plus, most other people rate me a 5 max.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:53 AM

I fundamentally disagree with your second paragraph. Validation without an external component is just delusion. If I think I’m really funny and no one else does, am I funny? If I think I’m a good person and no one else does, how appealing am I really? It’s a necessary step to have someone else find something appealing in you before you can start working on putting to rest those insecurities. This is actually one of the things I think is fundamentally different for men and women. Both internal an…

I don’t seek empathy to feel better about my situation personally. I seek empathy because virtually no women seem to understand why men feel so miserable about a lack of validation. I think it’s healthy for society if men and women can better understand each other. For instance, I’ve come to recognize that women don’t necessarily live life on easy mode just because they can get laid easily. I think it’s made me grow as a person, and it’s a shame that you don’t want women to gain similar insight …

As OP spelled out, it’s a validation issue, not a sex issue. So no, paying for hookers isn’t going to help. They don’t actually want to fuck you; they just need money.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:46 AM

I agreed with most of your points except this one. Plenty of men do die from loneliness in a way, as it’s a common cause of suicide. It’s a little disheartening to hear you downplay these feelings as men just being “emotional.” Kind of like how men often downplay women’s issues by calling them overly “emotional.”

I think Jordan Peterson is just one of the few people who isn’t an incel to understand how much pain it’s causing men. He, like many of us, is searching desperately for some solution that could help those who are suffering, but sadly solutions as direct as that would be awful for women. So in a sense I don’t think he’s a horrible person for suggesting this; I just think it’s such an insidious problem in society that most of the would-be “solutions” are equally awful. Side note: this may be an ar…

For some reason this place has been replaced with blackpillers instead of red pillers More men are waking up to the fact that most advice doesn’t work. Not the bluepill and not the redpill either. If you have to go to online forums to figure out how to find a woman who is interested, it’s already over for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:14 AM

The rule is “no incel content,” and as another commenter pointed out, seems intentionally vague so that the moderators can be as arbitrary as they like about its enforcement. Usually I can get away with it, but apparently not last time :\
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 09:55 PM
2

I agree. My point was that I didn’t even bring up the blackpill at all. I was just talking about my personal struggles, and it still got removed. That makes it seem like the mods’ problem is with virgins, not specifically the blackpill.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 07:33 PM
3

Can I use permavirgin then? I don’t know what the secret list of forbidden words is.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:18 PM
5

I don’t mind that. I think monitoring what you say is something one should do in any context. People who speak completely unfiltered are unhinged and unpleasant generally. My issue is that I thought the moratorium was on blackpill beliefs, not just being an incel generally. Everyone always says that they don’t take an issue with virgin men, just the incel beliefs. Well then why am I getting a comment removed for just bringing up that I’m an incel?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/11/23 03:10 PM
6

Smh the incel oppression will never end. I got my last comment removed simply because I mentioned the fact that I’m an incel. It didn’t even espouse any blackpill beliefs. No virgins allowed, I guess.

I think reducing things to just one criterion is a little reductive to say the least. I could say something similar about height: if you’re 5’9 or more then there’s no reason to be depression. At the end of the day, I’m not having any luck with women, and that’s why I’m depressed. There doesn’t need to be any other reason.

I hope I can get to the point where I can force myself to ignore it too. It ends up usually costing me valuable time, and I almost lost everything one time my depression was really bad. That doesn’t work too well for me. Maybe it’s because my work is mental rather than physical, so it’s easy to get distracted and ruminate. It usually goes the other way in fact: I struggle to keep up my work ethic sometimes on account of depression from loneliness.

Saved this post for the next time some idiot on here tells me “it’s fine to approach! Just talk about some shared interest!” I hate these kinds of women. At least his friend was a bro for sticking up for him. Edit: story might just be rage bait, which makes me feel better. But the fact that quite a few of the top comments are agreeing with OP’s supposed behavior in this story is still alarming. It’s also not an entirely unbelievable story based on the way the average cretin on 2X acts.

I agree that it’s different. I wasn’t the one asking a man if he could relate to female issues lol. But my point is that’s not really anywhere near the kind of difficulty we men have to face in dating. It doesn’t get any easier to find the right partner as a man. We have to deal with the issue of scarcity and still try to find someone compatible. There’s no woman who can really struggle to even find a guy interested in her, contrary to what “femcels” claim.

You can, and a lot of the people here probably do. But they’re not actually incels, they’re volcels. As a truecel, I disagree with your second observation. I’d be ecstatic if an ugly woman were genuinely attracted to me. But no ugly woman ever wants an ugly man, so I never get the opportunity. I’m not rejecting them; they’re rejecting me.

Nah, there are just too many fakecels floating around. Back in the good ol’ days, we gatekept them from the communities. It is and it isn’t. On the one hand, Orthodoxy shares a lot of theology and apostolic traditions with Catholicism (veneration of Mary, praying for saints to intercede, church hierarchy, no sola scriptura etc). On the other hand, Protestantism inherits a lot of Western traditions from Catholicism still, like original sin, scholasticism, and I think the eschatology are similar, whereas Eastern traditions are quite different in these respects. Yes, transwomen have to undergo a lot of surgeries and procedures to effectively pass as female. But that’s not really about their womanhood, that’s more about the fact that they’re trans. I’m pretty confident that trans men also have to go through a long list of surgeries to effectively pass as a man. It might even be more, since there really isn’t a way to “dress as a man,” since most of men’s clothing is now appropriate for either sex to wear. My point is that if you want to control the varia…

Okay, but don’t you see how that contradicts your previous assertion that women’s beauty standards are harsher. These people, as you say, receive loads of sexual attention after they transition. Maybe that doesn’t make life easier overall, but it does at least show that the beauty standards aren’t nearly as harsh. For a lot of trans women, they couldn’t meet the beauty standards as men, but they can meet the beauty standards as women, suggesting that those standards are lower or more attainable.

Interesting. I searched this and probably found the study you’re referring to. Those actions are all things you have control over, so I’d argue that’s still easier. Male beauty standards are often tied to immutable genetics like face and height. /r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 02:08 AM

I don’t think it’s unimportant. A lot of short men are clearly struggling. Sure, maybe most end up with someone eventually, but that’s such a reductive view of the issue. I don’t think it’s unimportant if so many short men feel unwanted and miserable. I’m so tired of people using all these tactics to downplay how awful it is to not even have a chance at dating with many women.

/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 03:09 PM

Did you reply to the wrong comment? I didn’t say anything about it being over for all short men. I am responding to how people often dismiss short men’s struggles with dating by saying “oh, plenty of women just want a guy who’s taller.” It often isn’t this simple, and a lot of people don’t seem to realize how easy it is to get automatically disqualified by the average woman when you’re below 5’9.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 03:04 PM

I don’t normally put too much stock into the redpill’s mantra of “watch what she does, not what she says,” but it came to mind while watching a video by Jubilee. So many women, especially on here, say that they just need a man to be taller than them. But how much can one trust that? How well can anyone really discern that well from across the room if someone is taller than they are or not? For example, in the video, the woman rates one of the men a 3 because it’s a “pet peeve” of hers when the g…

I guess it depends how believable it is, of course. If it’s basically just a human-sized sex toy, then it’s not really of much value to me. I want to be tricked into thinking I’m with a real woman… just one who actually desires me for some reason.

Why do the hypotheticals here always bring up sex bots? If you’re thinking about a sci-fi replacement for human contact, why not go for virtual reality girlfriends? That’s part of it, but I can still end up alone even if I do that. When I was in college, I went to a bunch of clubs every week, and I never made any friends from them. Same thing with church. I get stuck in my head half the time, and the other half people just don’t enjoy my presence all that much. I have a small group of friends if that counts as “finding my people.” But a small social circle isn’t enough to find a girlfriend. You have to have friends of friends and constantly meet new people.

True. From my POV, it actually seems like the opposite. I’ve heard a few girls (not the majority, but a decent amount) say that they’re into big guys and dad bods and so on. While rare, it seems to honestly be more common than any girl saying she’d like to be with a skinny guy.

I agree that I’d rather struggle with personality than looks. If you have looks, people will put up with your bullshit regardless (not you specifically, any person). But I have neither lol. And people never really change all that much. Everyone is pretty much the same person fundamentally from 25 onward.

Thanks for the advice, but I was just listing examples. I’m not on the spectrum luckily. I’m “just” really shy and uncomfortable around people. Still, I’ve been working to fix those for most of my life. I agree that you can improve them marginally, and I think I have gotten a bit better over the years. But at the end of the day, I’m still never going to be outgoing, and that’s basically a requirement to finding a woman these days, especially if you don’t have good looks going for you (I definite…

Okay I guess. To me, scrawny just is a synonym for weak, but maybe I’m mistaken about that. My point is that I have never met a single woman who desires my body type.

I’m too lazy to make a post about this, but it really sucks that some guys are just born the wrong way and have to spend a life alone because of it. Bluepill usually counters this by saying that it’s really all about personality, but I think this just reinforces my point. We act like personality is completely malleable in contrast to looks, but I honestly think it might actually be easier to change looks than it is to improve your personality. How many people have you met that have actually subs…

Exactly. I have heard a few women say they like skinny guys over the years, and without fail, they always mean skinny and tall. There’s pretty much no market for skinny and short.

^ Redditors when you say literally anything without a peer-reviewed study. Give me a break lol. Besides, I specifically narrowed my scope to the comment section of this particular thread. I didn’t even claim that most women worldwide dare like this (though I also feel pretty confident that is true). If you disagree with my assessment, feel free to scroll through the thread and compare the number of comments that would date a shy man and those that would not. Tally them up and report back to me.

Okay, that’s based as long as you’re consistent about how you view shy people of either gender. I personally don’t view shy people in such a negative light, but I guess that’s just because I’m shy myself naturally.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 02:37 PM

Yeah, I don’t get why people always bring up “personality” in contrast to looks when frankly, it’s mostly just as set in stone as looks. Hell, it’s probably easier to change your looks than your personality. If you’re born the wrong way, you end up alone, that’s how it is for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 02:36 PM

Respectfully disagree. I’ve been trying for years to fix my shyness. I’ve gotten better at socializing, but I’m still fundamentally a shy person.

That said, most of the comments from women here also express a similar feeling of not being attracted to shy men. It makes sense, since dating is a social activity, but it still fucking sucks that you just lack one of the most validating experiences of being a human just because you can’t help being shy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 06:50 AM

It’s funny that people always tell us shy guys to just go after shy women since they’re more similar. The issue is that shy women and extroverted women both tend to prefer outgoing men. It’s like height: short women and tall women both prefer (usually) tall men, leaving the short men with nobody. So if you’re short and shy, you’re really fucked.

How is that not privilege? Let’s consider another scenario to see if we’re on the same page about privilege. Two young kids are virtually identical, and both really want a pony for Christmas. The one has rich parents, while the other is dirt poor. So when the former asks for a pony, his parents give it to him, no questions asked. Whereas the other is told that it’s unreasonable to expect something so extravagant when his parents can barely put food on the table. The rich kid is surely privileged…
/r/AllPillDebate27/10/23 02:06 AM

I appreciate the kind intent. But what I’m trying to say is that I may be a 5/10 facially, but they ignore the fact that I’m also short and high-pitched. That has to drop me down to at least a 3/10.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:38 AM

Your premise is flawed. Only really hot guys get into relationships by fucking first and then later realizing they actually have feelings. For most guys, they have to first go on enough dates to get to the relationship stage, and then they get sex. So no, it’s not “first sex and then dating” for most guys. It’s the other way around, and using your same logic, this would imply that if a man is dating, then and only then is he also fucking. If you dispute this, then I think you’re grossly overesti…

Seinfeld also has a bunch of late 20s/early 30s adults (forgot their ages) who are in a tight-knit group that meet almost every single day. It’s not exactly an accurate depiction of reality lol. It’s not exactly 0 men who can get sex but not a relationship, but it’s pretty minor. I’ve never really encountered anyone like this irl, and I’ve only heard it a handful of times on the forever alone subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:22 AM

Lol I did not claim half those things. What I said was that men who can’t get girlfriends usually can’t get laid either. And frankly, I’m going to UNO Reverse you here and say you haven’t listened to enough men talking about their issues if you doubt this. I am a virgin man who spends a lot of time communicating with other virgin men, so I can personally attest to this.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:07 AM

Dude, it’s like 51% men to 49% women or something. It’s really not that. I don’t think transparently polygynous relationships are common enough to contribute, but it is highly possible that men who date multiple women in secret could be contributing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:05 AM

I guess my point is just that the pic doesn’t really fully capture how fucked I am when seen in person. It’s not obvious that I’m short or high-pitched from that. There are probably some other visual things that a picture doesn’t fully showcase as well.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:00 AM

Not really for men. This is definitely true for women, but nearly every single man who can’t get a relationship, also can’t get casual sex either. I think it just shows that if a man is attractive enough for sex, then it’s usually really easy for him to find someone compatible.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:52 AM

I’ve posted on alts to the rating subs, and even the “brutally honest” ones always sugarcoat too much. They tell me I’m like a 5/10, and maybe my face is, but I’m short with a squeaky voice, so there’s no way I’m above a 3/10.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:49 AM

Lol, yes there is. As someone at the bottom, the bottom-tier women don’t want bottom-tier men. Might be more likely to succeed as an average man though.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:47 AM

I’m kind of glad this exists. People always seem to gloss over how unattractive high pitched voices on men are, and I unironically think it’s at least part of the reason why I’m an incel. For the record, I got an average of 140 Hz. It never began for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:43 AM

Mine was 140. Fucking kill me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:42 AM

Yeah, it all depends on context and setting. I’m in academia, specifically math, and most of my female colleagues are in relationships, whereas most of my male ones are not. I imagine it might be totally different in another setting or context. What is weird though is that it still seems like most of the time, women are more likely to be in relationships than men. I can’t really figure out what’s causing this, other than potentially their propensity to date older men, leaving the current young g…

/r/AllPillDebate26/10/23 02:17 AM

The context here isn’t “who can get away with having preferences and still find a partner.” We’re talking about who is “allowed” to have preferences in the sense of not facing social backlash for expressing them. You didn’t address this at all. All you’ve managed to point out is that women are privileged in the SMP, which most of us already knew.
/r/AllPillDebate26/10/23 02:15 AM

I really want to. Looks fun as hell!
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 01:24 AM

Interesting. I knew there was a distinction, but I thought it was more of a subset type of thing. As in, not every Protestant is an Evangelical, but every Evangelical is a Protestant. I can’t even be bothered to look at Wikipedia for this though, so I’ll take your word on it. Every church started after 1054 is Protestant to me anyway lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 03:46 PM

Wait, I thought evangelicals were a type of Protestant? I’m Orthodox, so I have trouble understanding all these various splits.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 02:24 PM

Good question. It’s hard to narrow down the exact cause, which is why some incels think it’s 100% looks. I’m not that simple-minded, but it certainly doesn’t help that I’m 5’5, can’t grow facial hair, have a childish voice, and have a droopy eye. Besides that, what’s probably the biggest issue for me is social anxiety. I’ve been working on it for years, and I’m finally starting to see some small progress, but it’s an uphill battle with a limited social network and little interpersonal relationsh…

What’s so wrong with discussing incel issues? Whenever one of us brings up the fact that we’re virgins, our issues are dismissed out of hand for some reason. It’s probably not a comfort because you’re not aware of the problem that can arise if you don’t ever experience this. While it is a little frustrating that virtually no woman ever empathizes with this, in a way I’m glad that you all don’t have to worry about feeling this way. It really sucks, and the fewer people who can relate to the feeling, the better.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 03:32 PM

While I do think it’s pretty different for finding a relationship as a woman, I do still appreciate you sharing your experience. I feel similarly that I can do things easily that others struggle with, while dating is the opposite for me. Still, I sometimes think I’d trade places with just about anyone else who can find love. I guess we always think the grass is greener, right?

Hmm, that’s a bleak answer. I’m pretty happy with pretty much everything else in my life, but I’m still miserable because I’ve never been wanted. I don’t think that’s really something I can just ignore; I think everyone wants to feel wanted at some point.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 04:18 AM

Not feeling inadequate. It’s not that you get anything positive out of the experience, I’m arguing that you have one less struggle to deal with as a woman. I do feel inadequate because of my lack of sexual validation.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 03:56 AM
1

Hmm, maybe this is why there’s such a disconnect; we’re using different definitions. I know I’m not sexy, beautiful, or hot, so it would be crazy for me to hope for those things. To me, sexual validation is just knowing that someone wants to be intimate with me, even if I’m not the most attractive person in the world. Maybe it would be helpful for lonely women to adopt this mindset too, but I won’t claim to know. If men want to fuck everything, and you’re one of them, then you’re adequate. Grant…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 03:45 AM
1

I feel like this is some kind of fundamental disconnect. Being sexually desired is not sexual validation? I understand if you claim it doesn’t feel that amazing or whatever (which I’d argue is just because of overabundance, but that’s a separate argument). But to say it’s not sexual validation just seems definitionally incorrect. Like, it’s someone demonstrating that they want to have sex with you; what else could it mean? “That they just want to use your body.” Use it for what? For sex. Again, …
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 03:27 AM

Hmm, maybe it’s only intertwined for men then, in which case the experience is still different. I know that a complete lack of sexual validation makes me feel extremely lonely.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:53 AM

I’ve never met anyone in person who got to the age of 26 and never even kissed a girl though. And the statistics are pretty distressing too. I think only about 5% of men this age are virgins, and that figure is almost constant from 25 onward, implying that most men who go this far as a virgin are likely to stay that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:35 AM
1

Never having a single person attracted to you is a particularly painful experience that women, even ugly women, simply don’t ever experience. Usually the types of men interested in these lonely women aren’t dating material, but at least someone finds something appealing about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:31 AM
1

Definitely more of a question for a therapist, but: I get that hopelessness can lead to self-fulfilling prophecies, but how the hell are you supposed to not feel hopeless about dating when you can’t ever even get past the first date? It feels completely delusional to think “oh yeah, I’m sure tonight will randomly be the night! The first 26 years were just a warm-up obviously.”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:29 AM

Women can be lonely too, but it’s a very different experience overall. I get a lot of flack for saying this, but this is the one incel-ish belief I will not back down on.

That’s like the worst case scenario though. You’re comparing that to the daily, guaranteed pain of loneliness. I’ll admit it’s apples and oranges because assault is a concentrated awful experience that’s probably far worse than anyone’s loneliest days. But the pain of loneliness is something that is continual and ongoing, rotting away your happiness little by little until you’re left feeling hopeless and bitter.

I feel like people bring this up a lot, and I believed it back when I had virtually no friends. But now that I do have a growing social circle, I just don’t buy it. You’d have to have a social circle full of extroverts with loads of friends and/or parties for this to happen. I don’t really meet people through my friends generally, and I’m not about to hit on a friend (most are taken anyway).

Fair enough. I do vaguely remember reading that this has been observed in the literature, so I’ll concede this one. I guess I’m just surprised by it, is all.

Dude, I’m a serious porn addict who can’t go more than two days without it. But I still find like 80% of the women I meet attractive. I don’t buy into this message that it makes men’s standards go through the roof.

I just wanted to say that you are like legitimately one of the nicest people on this godforsaken subreddit. People are extremely hostile here, especially to men struggling with loneliness, so I really appreciate your comments being a breath of fresh air.

Lol I wouldn’t hold my breath. If anything, I think self-awareness can contribute to anxiety in social situations, which is a huge detriment to dating success.

Not the desperate men. Desperate men will go for anyone who gives them the time of day.

Nah, the game is too rigged in their favor for that to ring true. They’ll fuck around and still end up with a fine guy. Or they’ll be happy being alone.

Well okay, I should add the caveat that I will date anyone if it’s ethical. Taking advantage of a meth head seems like a pretty awful thing to do.

I think I need to take an extended break from this sub. I think all of the posts railing on men are starting to get to me. That one from today talking about how men don’t offer any value was the straw that broke this camel’s back. But I’ll probably be back tomorrow since I’m lonely as fuck, and I can’t stop obsessing over things related to my loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/23 02:39 AM

Thank you for bringing an actual balanced, reasonable take into this thread. This thread got me pretty depressed for a hot second, but it’s reassuring to know not everyone is this degrading towards men.

I already said I had zero standards, so yes. I’m at the bottom of the totem pole, so I can’t afford to be choosy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/10/23 01:41 AM

You people are straight up delusional lol. Whatever reality is, you invert it just for the sake of debate. Plenty of men, like me, have zero standards. The reason we’re single is because women would rather be alone than date someone like us, as OP stated. If women had lower standards, then all men would be dating. Disclaimer: I am not advocating that women lower their standards to date men they find unattractive. I am simply stating that women’s standards are, whether you like it or not, the rea…

Okay, pack it up everyone. Lilith figured out dating. The reason men are alone and can’t find a girlfriend is because we’re… immature coomers. Yep, literally all of us. Not just Lilith’s shitty firsthand experience, every single man struggling just can’t stop jacking off in his mom’s basement. That’s the only standard women have apparently. Anyway, that’s the end of my daily 5 minute break from cooming. Gotta get back to work.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/23 01:12 PM

I wouldn’t say that I’m not delusional or hateful; it’s just different. A bitter truth that most people don’t want to acknowledge is that if someone is this lonely, they almost always become hateful in some way. Sometimes it’s directed outwards at women, and other times it’s directed inwards at oneself. I usually direct my hate at myself. Now, this isn’t to say it’s impossible to not have any hate. I do even have some periods of time where I reach this ideal state. But it is exceptionally hard. …

First of all, thank you for taking the time to write out such a detailed response. I wasn’t really looking for advice, as I was mainly looking to dispel the reasons OP outlined for why some men are alone. However, it’s still pretty handy to have such a thorough list of potential roadblocks. I’ll reply to some of them, but the TLDR is that I try my best, but I’m not perfect by any means. I think we lonely men get held to a higher standard because the second there’s any flaw, someone points out “a…

I have no standards. Only one that’s a little true, but I’m more resentful towards women in the abstract. I never hold any ill will toward a particular woman. Again, I have no standards. Would I be happy with a trad wife? Sure. Would I be happy with a progressive woman? Also fine. I have been trying to get dates for about a decade. Fuck off. I do not wish unhappiness or especially loneliness on anyone. It’s a miserable experience.

Thank you for the kind words. I do need to get back on antidepressants. Are there any in particular you feel help with hopelessness? I think I’ve only tried Zoloft so far, but it didn’t help a whole lot. I don’t know what’s left to even try. That’s why I feel so hopeless; it feels like I’ve tried and failed at everything. I’ve been in and out of therapy for a while now. It’s easy to forget that you can be a good person and single since everyone always blames lonely men for their problems, acting like we’re all hateful pieces of shit who don’t know how to shower or whatever. I guess I was starting to believe them. I like to think that I’m a good listener, loving, empathetic, and patient. I don’t think it matters though. I’ve been too kind to myself. I used to act like I’d have something to offer as a boyfriend, but if that were true, someone would have recognized that by now. No, the proof is right in front of me: I’m worthless, and I need to stop pretending I’m not. I can’t hide from the truth forever. I’m gonna die alone, and it’s what I deserve for being such a failure.

That seems like a rather loaded question, but I study math. It may not seem helpful in the short term, but much of scientific advancement, particularly in physics, wouldn’t be possible without the mathematical groundwork. Ah see, when you’re not intentionally trying to make yourself sound awful, you come across quite nice. I’m happy you have a nice partner. I think it’s pretty difficult to rate effectively how desirable of a person we are, so I rely on lived experience to determine that. No woman has ever wanted me, which means I am the very bottom of the barrel. It hurts a lot to realize this, but it’s reality unfortunately. I think most people find me boring. The only benefit I’ve gotten from the gym is seeing gym bros’ minds implode when I say I haven’t found it to be that helpful. Anyway, yeah I agree I shouldn’t inflict myself upon a woman. I haven’t felt any of the results people say I should feel from gym. I’m no less depressed, no more confident, no more attractive. When is that supposed to happen? 6 months? 1 year? 3 years? It doesn’t change anything. Nothing matters.

I’ve tried to write poetry before actually. I managed to write one, but it wasn’t very good. The issue is that depression saps the little motivation I have to do things like that.

You can have depression for several reasons. One of them is being completely undesirable as a man. If someone’s depression is rooted in other causes, then sure women won’t help. But some of us really are just depressed because we can’t find anyone. I know a couple incels who finally found a partner who confirmed that it did help tremendously with their mental health.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/23 03:18 AM
1

Nearly there. I think that’ll be the point of no return. Even if I find a woman after 30, it won’t matter because I’ll be too bitter and jaded for a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/23 03:01 AM
7

I think it just doesn’t track because we’re trying to understand why we’re unwanted. A lot of the advice we hear from women is stuff we already do, so it doesn’t make sense why we’re alone. The blackpill and redpill will tell men they’re alone for reasons that do seem more plausible at least since most of us aren’t tall, rich, hot, or assertive or whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/23 03:00 AM
1

My self esteem deteriorates by the day. How much of a pathetic piece of garbage do you have to be to be unwanted by every single woman you meet by age 26? If I had any positive qualities, someone would have given me a chance by now. 26 years and never more than a first date. The world’s been trying to tell me to kill myself for years, and I’m too stupid and cowardly to listen.

Tbh I’m struggling to find it for some reason. I was made aware of it because of a streamer who has experience in the mental health industry, so I trust her on its existence. I assume Costello is likely an author, since he is one of the first people I think of who is doing insightful research into incels at the moment. I’ll let you know if I do manage to find it. I’m pretty sure it is about incels specifically.

I legitimately find like 80% of the women I see on a daily basis to be attractive. And even if I don’t find them attractive, I’d have to hope that maybe with familiarity I can come to be aroused by them. There will always be desperate men out there for any woman who believes she’s undesirable.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/23 01:26 AM

Yes, I would be happy to try to make things work with any woman, whether she’s obese, autistic, or whatever trait you can think of. I am unwanted, so it would be delusional to turn down any chance at forming a relationship I can get. Beggars can’t be choosers. I think it demonstrates what I said about women being incapable of reaching the same level of desperation as men because so many women genuinely can’t even fathom this kind of loneliness. They always have options. I’m surprised that this i…

I’ll be honest, I think most lonely guys really are hoping there’s some miracle cure they haven’t heard yet. But deep down, we know there’s nothing new we haven’t heard before. That’s actually the real blackpill in my eyes. A lot of us have tried all the advice we hear, and for some of us, it just doesn’t work. We’re either too ugly, too socially handicapped, or have some other fundamental flaw that we can’t surmount. It’s not women’s jobs to magically heal these flaws, but it does feel frustrat…

Undesirable women are like cryptids. Loads of crazy people online claim they’re out there, hiding under our noses, yet I’ve never seen a single one. In fact, by definition they can’t exist: if you show me a woman who believes she’s undesirable, I will desire her. Men will always be more desperate than women. If women could be equally desperate, then there wouldn’t be any lonely people; all the desperate men and women would just pair up. So I’ll replace “undesirable” here with “less desirable”. M…

It’s really just the disparities in dating and views on sex that lead to us not being able to relate to the opposite sex; we’re pretty similar in most other ways. The gap in empathy is exacerbated by the fact that although both men and women have issues, both feel that the other sex’s issues would be a solution to their own problems. Namely, men receive no attention whatsoever and crave the constant validation that women receive. Women are bombarded with suitors who are only interested in sex or…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/23 12:50 AM

That’s kind of a separate discussion. I wasn’t really talking about they “why” of incels not attracting women. The topic of the post was that you need to be liked to be considered likeable, and I was piggybacking off that to mention how an uncomfortable corollary of this is that incels are by definition unlikable people. I wasn’t really asking for a guide on how to get out of inceldom lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/23 02:06 AM

Sure, but dating is never easy. The point is that they have options to work with and a chance to find happiness if they work hard enough. Men, especially unattractive men, do not have those opportunities at all.
/r/AllPillDebate12/10/23 01:59 AM
6

It’s also a known fact that lonely men (or it might be incels specifically) report far lower feelings of satisfaction with therapy than other groups. So it’s not like all these men aren’t going to therapy out of shame; plenty are probably just aware that it simply does not work for them.
/r/AllPillDebate12/10/23 01:46 AM

Pretend for the sake of argument that 90% of men on Tinder want just sex. Then since most women (even ugly women) can easily get 100 matches in no time at all, then that’s an expected 10 men who are legitimate prospects. That’s probably 10 times the number of opportunities this hypothetical woman’s male counterpart could muster.
/r/AllPillDebate12/10/23 01:33 AM

We incels have been saying this for years, but people just assume everything that comes out of our mouths is nonsense, and it gets discarded out of hand. We are unlovable because no one has (or presumably ever will) love us. But then someone always comes around and says some bs about how we just need to love ourselves first or some crap.

I disagree. I think we all need to feel desirable. It’s like handing someone from the first world a glass of water. They probably wouldn’t care or even need it, because their needs are already being met. But to someone dying of thirst, that water is greatly needed. But either person needs to have some water, just it’s in abundance for the one and in scarcity for the other. Men want to fuck most women, but that’s because they do actually find most women attractive. This is a big difference between men and women. I’d only say the compliments are not genuine if the guy is saying things like “you’re the hottest woman here.” It’s possible that he means that, but more likely that he’s just trying to get in your pants. But if he’s complimenting a particular feature, even if he compliments lord of women on that, it’s probably just because he does genuinely find that featu…

I struggle to believe any kind of personality is ever more important than looks. Your personality usually doesn’t matter at all unless you’re at least attractive enough to get her attention in the first place, for which you generally need to meet her looks threshold. If you’re ugly and don’t meet most women’s looks threshold, then having a “generous” personality won’t matter at all. You can’t provide for a girl if there’s no one to provide for.

I appreciate that you’ve shown me such kindness. I’m still not sure if it’s wise to entertain hope when it can just cause more pain in the long run. But I will admit it’s hard to know when to give up hope. For instance, all the stats on later virginity seem so contradictory. Been trying to get better at talking to people for about 8 years. Still suck at it. I can assure you that being scrawny is undesirable to a lot of women. It makes me look less masculine. I’ve even encountered a decent amount of women who would prefer a fat guy over a skinny one. I’m 5’5.

Yeah, I’m worried about getting addicted too. I’ve also got an addictive personality type.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 07:10 PM

How is it not true though? I think less than 5% of people are still virgins at this age, and I imagine most of them are virgins by choice like monks. Most people experience as teenagers the things I still only dream about. The older I get, the more women are going to expect that I should have my shit figured out, and I wouldn’t blame them if they didn’t have the patience to put up with a guy who’s experiencing things for the first time they figured out over a decade ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 07:06 PM

The bar could be on the floor and I’d still probably fail to get over it. I have nothing to offer women. It hurts, but it’s the truth I’ve come to realize.

I appreciate the suggestion, but the root cause of my depression is not being wanted. The lack of kisses and sex are a symptom of that, not the cause. Though I do sometimes wonder if experiencing a simulation of desire (GFE) could at least make me feel better. It’s something worth considering, and I might bite the bullet and give it a try by the time I’m 30.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 06:58 PM

I don’t know tbh. I think at some point it’s wiser to just cut one’s losses and accept the way things are. I’ve been banging my head against the wall metaphorically for the past several years trying to improve the areas where I’m lacking, but I have little to show for it all. It can sound harsh when others say things like that, but I think it’s more of a mercy than to hold on to hope for years only to be disappointed again and again by life.

Interesting, I’ve never seen a Buddhist imperiously imposing their worldview on others. Normally it’s a Christian or Muslim thing. I guess every faith has its annoying members.

I hear stories about guys who can slay with their personality all the time on Reddit, but I have literally never seen this happen irl. I feel like I live on a different planet sometimes.

If I haven’t ever been kissed by the time my parents die, I’ll probably kill myself. The only reason I haven’t already is that it would devastate my parents, so once they’re gone, I’ll finally be free. I don’t find life worth living if you’re unwanted and alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/23 02:46 PM
11

Uh, I do, I guess.
/r/AllPillDebate07/10/23 04:40 AM

That’s based, dude. I remember so many people thought inkwells were some white supremacist group for a while, which is so funny when you know the reality of how diverse we are.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 03:52 AM
20

It’s just nice to know we’re living on the same planet as them lol. Sometimes it feels like an incel could say the sky is blue, and then a woman would say “yikes, this is why you’re inkwell. It’s actually not always blue, sweaty.”
/r/AllPillDebate07/10/23 03:46 AM

For real. Nothing else before or after comes close.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 03:44 AM

It’s okay. It doesn’t scratch quite the same itch though. Maybe because the rules are stricter there (no generalizations allowed). Or maybe it’s just because the incel subs were funnier. But I do agree that the people are more reasonable there. The more reasonable a virgin, the more miserable and joyless. The pinnacle of that is the forever alone sub, where everyone is very fair and understanding toward others, and likewise it’s the most soulless discussions usually.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 03:23 AM
1

True, it’s about the closest we can have to an incel sub these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 02:25 AM
1

It’s fine. The virgin sub is alright too. But the incels subs had an edge to them that can’t be replicated elsewhere on account of the rules. I think it’s the humor I miss, and these subs are nowhere near as funny.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 02:13 AM

I miss the incel subreddits tbh. The only forums left are the batshit crazy ones like .is or whatever. Believe it or not, not all of us are completely unhinged, and some of the subs (like incels without hate) were pretty calm. They were hilarious too, but now we have no place left to be except infesting subreddits like this that clearly don’t want us.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 02:05 AM
1

The latter. Average height and good face will make you decently attractive. Conversely, I know a decent number of incels who are above 6ft but have plenty of other things going wrong for them.

I legitimately get so excited whenever I stumble on a woman who agrees with anything the blackpill has to say. It’s seriously so rare, but also so validating when someone finally acknowledges these talking points that so many women routinely reject.

I went to a lot of parties in undergrad to try to break out of my shell, but it never worked. I’m too socially awkward, and struggle too much to make conversation, even when intoxicated. Definitely never got me close to getting laid. I’m happy it worked well for you though.

It’s clear by the fact that they receive next to no upvotes that they don’t reflect many men’s opinions though. Who the fuck cares about the occasional nut jobs that seep through the cracks?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/23 01:52 AM
1

I guess it depends on how old these men were, for me to decide if that gives me hope or not. If they were 20 year old kids, then yeah I’m not surprised they eventually found someone. But if they were 30 or up, then I will allow myself another small dose of copium.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:53 AM

Lol I have enjoyed our time together, but that’s coming to an end now too. Hopefully I can just kill off the sexual desire altogether eventually.

I’m sure it does ruin lots of relationships. I just don’t lose sleep over it because I would need a relationship to lose first, and I just don’t see that happening anytime in the next several years.

Normal? Daily, but a lot of men do too much. I don’t know what the healthy amount is though. Maybe four times a week if I had to guess? Not getting any clear answers from googling it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:30 AM
1

I wouldn’t know. I’m trying to be more religious, so my faith tells me that self control is important for both of those things anyway. But yeah, I don’t make the rules about how much is too much porn; I’m just reporting based off of the usual amount I’ve heard is considered a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:27 AM
1

Lmao I’m not going to ever get a partner. And if I did, she’d have to be patient enough to deal with all my other flaws, so she’d probably be patient about the ED as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:26 AM

Yeah, that’s kind of a lot, chief. Not judging, since I used to do it a lot too.

Most young men are also quite possibly addicted to porn, so I don’t know if that necessarily would contradict what I wrote. But I could totally be wrong; maybe this was healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:22 AM
1

Thanks, but I don’t even know if it’s really that bad. Like I mentioned in the comment, it’s kind of nice to not have to feel so horny as much. And the ED literally doesn’t matter, since I’m never gonna get laid anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:21 AM

I’m only 26, but I’m already losing a bit of that drive and even starting to gain a bit of ED.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:18 AM

Yeah, I’d say masturbating to porn once or more per day is a lot. Didn’t realize this was a hot take lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:17 AM
1

Alright, but that means you never need to worry about being entirely undesirable. Men have this extra potential demon to face that maybe no one even finds anything of value in them. I’m not saying you should appreciate men only wanting you for your body, but at least you know they want you for something. I have nothing a woman would desire in a partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:17 AM

It helps me vent when I’m depressed about my issues with absolutely no one finding me attractive. And I’m pretty much depressed about that every day, so I inhabit this space more than I should.

Don’t know whether to be happy or sad that my libido is finally going down I’ve had a porn addiction for years, to the point where I pretty much couldn’t go a single day without masturbating once or even twice. But recently there have actually been a bunch of days where I haven’t felt the urge at all. It might not sound like much to just go a day without it (and I guess it really isn’t much), but compared to the way I used to feel, it’s a lot. On the one hand, I know it’s an unhealthy addiction,…

/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:03 AM

Lmao “saucy wenches” But realistically if I went to a Renaissance fair, my experience would be the same as 90% of the times I try to put myself out there. I would show up, not talk to anyone, leave, and want to kms. Obviously I can’t make friends if I don’t talk to people, but I just can’t get the hang of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 04:22 AM

I’m passionate about my work (math research), which is male-dominated; medieval history, also male-dominated; and video games, which don’t take me out of the house. Edit: forgot the context of this message, which wasn’t about dating but friendships in general. The bigger issue there is that I’m just too socially stunted. Doing things I enjoy doesn’t change anything.

That sounds like a step in the right direction. I hope you’ll be safe.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 03:48 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 03:39 AM

There was a post here today about social circles. The thing is, I already know that this is the strongest way to get into a relationship, and the only one likely to work for an unattractive guy like me. But the thing is, that’s exactly why I know it’s hopeless for me. I’ve been trying for years to get better at socializing, and my progress is so minimal. I always struggle to just make conversation with people. Plus, I don’t have any hobbies that would take me out of the house, so I have to force…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 03:36 AM

For real? I can’t tell if you’re trolling. Why not?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 03:29 AM

Everyone has their struggles, and I didn’t mean to imply that your life was ideal. For instance, I’ve had major depressive disorder and used to struggle with self harm and suicidal ideation. But having a significant other can help someone endure those things and give you a reason to keep fighting. I hope you can overcome your substance abuse issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 03:23 AM

Aww, the redemption arc! I remember a while ago you commented saying you hated incels. I don’t hate you either. Your life just makes me depressed because I’ll never have what you have.

I think the difference is that he already has the validation that my ex lacked Reading this made me feel pretty invalid as an unattractive guy. It’s a vicious cycle, and we all contribute to it.

I work out five days a week, I eat healthy, I’m in a PhD program about which I’m passionate, and due to the previous point I don’t have much time for hobbies in general, but I try to socialize with my peers as much as possible. You can improve forever; it’s no guarantee that you’ll ever find someone.

Same. I would’ve killed myself five years ago if I didn’t feel guilty about how it would make my parents feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:58 AM

Yeah, I can’t really come to peace with the unfairness either. I’ve been poisoning my mind lately by observing too much how easy it is for attractive guys. I have been trying bit by bit to go out of my comfort zone, but I haven’t had any success yet, as the post suggests. I hope theatre can provide you some happiness at least. No one deserves to feel this way.

This forum has made me more convinced— I’ll stop you right there, chief. I wouldn’t base much of any of your opinions on life from this forum. This forum is inhabited by insanely broken losers like me who haven’t touched grass in 20 years, not well-adjusted normal people. We are not a good representation of the real world.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:44 AM

Ah, that was my issue. I was only eating 5. Thank you for the advice; my depression should be cleared up in no time.

How many eggs do I have to eat before I stop crying?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:37 AM

Tfw you’re 5’5 🙃 Lol but seriously, my comment wasn’t just in regards to when it’s “over” so to speak. I think hot 5’7/5’8 guys will do fine, but still probably not as well as most tall men do without much effort.

I think it’s hard to say whether it’s harder or not. But I think that’s distracting from the more important point that lesbian incels do indeed exist and that we actually share our struggles. I can’t stand most “femcels” because they’re straight women who act like they have the same struggles as incels, when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. But lesbian femcels? Oh yeah, I totally empathize with that struggle. Women are extremely picky and hypergamous, and you’re one of the few wom…

I would have done it back when I was 21, but sadly it would hurt my family too much, and I care about them a lot. So I’m sticking around, trying to ignore the pain as best I can until it’s all over. If you can, I recommend trying to make others’ lives less miserable. It’s one of the few things I’ve found to truly help me feel less miserable.

Two things: It can be equally difficult for some people to make friends. Some people are autistic, painfully socially anxious, shut-ins, have extremely niche interests, and so on. It’s insensitive to act like it’s as simple as “just go find some friends then!” Even if you do have friends, they’re not a cure for romantic loneliness. Sure, it can and usually does help somewhat, but some of us have a hole in our heart that friends simply can’t fill. We need this to be happy.

I was kind of with you until you said 5’11 lol. That’s way too extreme. I’d say it’s more like 5’8 or so. If you’re below that height, then yeah you could be hot as hell and still less attractive than a lanky tall guy.

Also, please stop with the ‘women will share a man’ nonsense. Women aren’t a monolith. Scroll through all the replies here. There are a couple who are saying the millionaire and even more who are saying they would go for the millionaire if it were an open relationship. I guess that’s not exactly ‘sharing,’ but it still shows that these women value a high-income man over a monogamous, low-income man.

I’m trying to improve, but I think you can now understand a bit better why men are usually more distressed about being single. It’s a really depressing situation to be in.

I guess I just don’t count as a real man then. I rarely find anyone desperate enough to give me a chance. Some of the uglier ones seem to try for a message to two, before they inevitably realize they can’t lower their standards enough for me, so they ghost.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:58 PM

Not in my experience. I go onto Tinder, for instance, and even women who meet those criteria swipe left on me. From talking to others in my shoes, I know I’m not the only one who experiences this either.

I dont see anyone telling men to lower their standards Then you’re not looking very hard lol. Here’s a post I just saw an hour ago: https://reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/s/mqkdHa1Lhj I will add this caveat however: typically it seems to be redpilled men who tell men to level up, while women tell men to lower their standards. This discussion of standards still doesn’t touch much on the main point. To reiterate, I’m not expecting or advocating that women lower their standards further. What I am say…

That’s a pretty hefty oversimplification. Self improvement is never a guarantee for finding a partner; it just increases the odds. Not every failure is for a lack of trying. You can do everything “right” and still end up single for most of your life. I know plenty of people who are in shape, earn good money, etc. who still struggle to find anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 04:02 PM

Well, everyone is always telling men to lower their standards. If men can, I’m sure you can find a way too. But that’s besides the point. I’m not saying you should necessarily try to lower your standards. It’s an option, but I understand why you wouldn’t choose it. Notice the operative word though? Once again, still a choice. “Would you rather eat this stale bag of chips or not?” That is still a choice, but with an obvious answer imo. Men are not even offered the stale bag of chips though. They’…

I appreciate the benefit of the doubt, but I never had any luck before the pandemic either. I just suck at social interactions, and it’s a lot harder when you’re conventionally unattractive. I might be projecting, but I think the pandemic actually didn’t change much. Men who struggle with socializing have almost always had the cards stacked against them with dating. You have to initiate all the time as a guy, so if you’re introverted or, God forbid, socially anxious, then you’re probably going t…

You’re not entitled to an attractive man. If you want a relationship, then you should lower your standards. If you don’t want to lower your standards, then that’s fine, but that is a choice.

That’s a much more watered down claim than the one on the post you linked though. Framing it the way that user did is a mischaracterization, while your statement is accurate, albeit doesn’t say too much. Yeah, some minorities of people are unreasonable. We can safely ignore them though.

I’d think you would have a point if I were just projecting my experience as an incel, since we’re a niche subset of men. But I’m saying that if incel men are generally looking for their looksmatch, I find it hard to believe that this isn’t the case for most men in general. It’s just harder to prove for average men since you don’t have the crystal clear proof like with incels. Obviously, there are going to be some guys with unreasonable standards. But I think they’re a small minority, and women l…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 03:24 PM

I didn’t say incels are all ugly either. The reasons for why incels are alone isn’t too relevant here. What matters more than the cause is the effect: guys like us receiving no positive attention from any women. Again, not just from women who are way above our looksmatch, no attention from any women. It’s impossible for me to believe that men are chasing after women above their league when this is the case. We are not, but some women simply can’t believe this.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 03:12 PM
1

The only thing I find interesting about that post is how persistent that myth is among women. Hell, the very existence of incels should dispel that notion. How many times do we incels have to tell people that literally no one is interested in us before women believe us? And if incel men are looking at they’re level, I find it hard to believe that the same isn’t the case for average men.

You unintentionally hit the nail on the head by saying “choosing to be single.” I think that’s what it really comes down to—women are happier being single because for them it’s usually a choice. For most men, it’s not a choice, and overall we have very little agency to even do anything about our situation.
