I appreciate that. I feel pretty indifferent about whether there were women irl or not. I’m content with my porn addiction now.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 02:59 PM

I think I’m finally starting to reach full-blown apathy about life. I’m developing erectile dysfunction and I don’t even care. What difference does it make if I’m never gonna use that thing anyway?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 02:53 PM

If a man approaches for experience, he is very likely also genuinely interested. If anything, he may be more interested and just assumes you’d be out of his league or something, so he doesn’t expect it to go anywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 02:01 PM

I agree. I should have clarified that my comment is more in reference to comment history trend, rather than this particular comment.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:30 PM

Fair enough, I won’t prod any further then.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:17 PM

I dunno, Inject seems particularly fixated on it, and I wonder if it’s hinting at some deeper underlying pain. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not supporting obesity or anything, but I think there’s more to this, is all.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:17 PM

I guess I was just curious if there was a deeper underlying reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:15 PM

I’m curious, where did your extreme disdain for fat people come from? Were your parents extremely critical of your weight? It seems like it’s probably connected to body dysmorphia in some way, but I’m no psychologist.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:12 PM

Yeah, I know what you mean, man. It sucks, and it’s hard to make the sadness go away.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 11:09 PM

If you’re looking for me to do anything other than wallow in self-pity, then you’re on the wrong sub. I don’t particularly like Reddit, so I only really use it to vent, whine, and moan about my issues anonymously.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 10:46 PM

as long as he’s not complaining 24/7 Does that mean you won’t be my adoptive mom?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 10:40 PM

Oh hey, that’s basically me! So uh, how you doing?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 07:55 AM

I’m aware this doesn’t represent most men. I’m mostly doing this for fun, but also so that I have a specific number the next time someone wants to claim that I’m also not giving the average woman a chance. The women getting messaged less still get far more messages than their male counterparts. Maybe the relative amount isn’t as much, but the point is that there are still men going after them. Meanwhile, the unattractive men don’t get any attention. People try to act like things are always symme…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:49 AM

I fully agree. I’m not the one who thinks men and women act the same. It’s all the inane comments here which seem to believe this. That men are really just overlooking all the average, plump girls who want love. My point is that we’re not, because men are more willing to give their looksmatch a chance than a woman is.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 05:26 AM

Did you have options? I don’t, which is the main reason why I have to resort to this.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:41 AM

I try to see the good in most people.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:41 AM

That’s fine. I don’t want to associate with superficial people anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:39 AM

This is exactly what women do here all the time. “No no, what you encounter irl doesn’t represent most women. I do though.” Don’t listen to me then. There’s that OKCupid study about men rating women on a bell curve, whereas women only rated around 20% above average.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:35 AM

One random guy having unrealistic standards is not really indicative of how most men feel.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:24 AM

Yeah, as is typical, it’s mostly just women projecting their own shortcomings onto men. Like they don’t want to ever admit there’s anything uncharitable that women do which men are not guilty of.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:17 AM

There’s that infamous OKCupid study where men’s attraction followed a bell curve, whereas women only found around 20% or so of the men to be above average. It would be interesting to see if this informal experiment mimicked those findings.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:16 AM

I would be willing to go on a date with any of the 80% or so of women that I find attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:13 AM

There are lots of girls who are overweight but still manage to look pretty cute. Despite all the men moaning about fat women on this sub, I think irl most men don’t mind them so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:12 AM

Isn’t there a statistic that male virgins outnumber female virgins? I think women are actually having more sex than men in that more of them have had it at least once.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:02 AM

I’m kind of annoyed by all the women here projecting that men “also only think about Stacies” or “don’t notice the average woman.” I do some people watching when I’m bored, and I can confidently say I’m probably attracted to at least 80% of the women I see. (Tbf I work at a university with younger women, so it’s probably more skewed than if it were a place with loads of 40+ women.) Like, I’m tempted to literally do an experiment where I tally how many of the random women I see that I find attrac…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 04:00 AM

Delusional levels of cope to think that someone with that much status would still be unable to get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 03:57 AM

These responses are so cathartic to read. I feel like I’m losing my damn mind whenever the users on the virgin sub act like you’re some heinous villain for a white lie about experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 03:55 AM

The pro strat is to have a friend with a membership so that you don’t have to spend extra money, but you can still go there once in a while for some shopping or their pizza.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/24 03:53 AM

I’m more interested in normal boring activities :) Maybe I should buy some cocaine :(

Holy shit, these comments are hilarious. Hoes mad, for some reason. This is seriously the most entertaining post I’ve seen on this sub in ages, so thank you OP. I had no idea how many scientifically illiterate people were on this sub, though I’m not at all surprised by how many do not want you spreading truth when it goes against their narrative in some way.

My, as well as most unattractive men’s, experience contradicts this. That’s why it’s funny; it’s absurd. No woman has ever valued me as a romantic partner.

Preselection in action. Woman who likes a man whom other women like. Shocking stuff.

Lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/24 07:43 AM

I’m always surprised by how many people respond to my vents on here. I’ll be sad if/when I inevitably get banned for sadposting too much.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/24 03:23 AM

Slow down, cowboy. At least take me to dinner first.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 06:09 AM

My experience as well. 🫡

If you have truly given the sort of thing I was talking about a chance, then you are not the sort of person I am shaming. You have done more than what a lot of people are willing to do these days, and that is commendable. You tried it, and it didn’t work out, and that’s all one can do. However, I ask that you also recognize that your experiences are not universal. There is data to support that a lot of people (men and women if I recall) can develop attraction to a person the more they get to kno…

I’m sorry, but this is practically a non-sequitur. Women being afraid of rape and murder from a significant other would just make them less likely to engage in relationships altogether, not only engage in relationships with high-status or attractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:48 PM

Sure I can. If someone is drowning and people just stare and watch, then I will be pretty upset by their inaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:46 PM

You could give it a shot and see if attraction develops. Men already often have to do the same, especially when we’re unattractive ourselves and can’t reasonably expect to get with someone we feel strong attraction to.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:45 PM
4

I am aware that arousal is involuntary. It’s what you do with the arousal that matters. You can only pine after tall, wealthy, attractive men, or you can give unnoticed, lower status men a chance. You are free to make that choice, and I am free to judge you for your decision. And as I said in a different post, I don’t really expect that shaming will change women’s behavior on this either. But I do believe there should be some guilt and recognition of the consequences of these actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:41 PM

And you seem to miss the point every time this conversation comes up. No one here is doubting Taylor Swift’s adherence to conventional beauty standards. She is conventionally attractive, plain and simple. But there are two important caveats. One, that doesn’t mean she is everyone’s personal preference. And hell, even if she’s not, the baseline attractiveness is still more than enough for any guy here to want to be with her. Two, there are loads of women all over the world whom we find to be simi…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:38 PM

Because collectively your standards are too high, leaving plenty of men without an ability to feel intimacy or romantic connection. It doesn’t really matter if it’s “normal” or not. In some cultures it’s normal to abuse your wife; that doesn’t make it okay.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:32 PM
3

That’s just semantics. Ugly women are being approached on dating apps, or pursued if you’d like to use that word instead. Either way, it’s still showing that men are less picky, as ugly men are absolutely not finding any success on dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:25 PM
2

Nah, I criticize people if their actions harm others. Women’s actions are harming men. Can shame change their actions? Probably not, but they shouldn’t feel completely guilt-free about this either.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:24 PM

It might be a good idea to start working now though so that you have some money saved up for when you do have to live in an apartment. I do miss my meal plan days though. I can’t cook to save my life, so it was nice to have that option.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:21 PM

Well most people get into relationships. How else would these unattractive women get boyfriends if a man didn’t approach them at some point? And yes, men generally are super un-picky, especially the men who are unattractive themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:17 PM

Fully agree. I think women get offended over this because they get much more attracted to people based on status, so they expect men to feel that way too. But no, I’m not any more attracted to Taylor Swift than I am any other thin blonde woman. She’s attractive, but I see dozens of women just as attractive every day while I’m walking around town.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:11 PM

How do you afford rent and food and such then? I’m assuming you have scholarships to afford tuition at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:09 PM
9

How do people still believe this nonsense? This false equivalence has been thoroughly debunked already. Most studies show that while women only find a small handful of men physically attractive, men find most women physically attractive. These are not the same. If they were, there would be an epidemic of lonely women who don’t get pursued.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:08 PM
5

I’m not going to threaten rape or violence in retaliation because that’s awful and never warranted. But I will definitely continue to shame women for this. They are responsible for keeping a lot of men single and unhappy. You can’t pretend it’s not their choices that are directly causing this.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 05:03 PM

My interests are all pretty much borderline autistic special interests that are extremely niche. The only other people into them would be autistic, and I’m pretty sure autistic men outnumber autistic women. Copied from another comment: Reading/learning about medieval history, video games with like 90% male player bases, and I’ve recently gotten into competitive Pokemon.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 04:00 PM

Reading/learning about medieval history, video games with like 90% male player bases, and I’ve recently gotten into competitive Pokemon. I’m trying to force myself to get into more normal stuff that takes me outside like rock climbing, but I don’t genuinely enjoy that stuff as much.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:57 PM

Time to pretend to be interested in something for the sake of getting with women. That sounds like it could backfire.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:45 PM

I don’t even have social media since I used to not even really have friends. Maybe that’s holding me back, but I’m so far behind with it now. I don’t even know what the kids use these days. Instagram? I’m not hot enough for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:43 PM

Does that mean the pegging offer still stands?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:42 PM

Apparently not. I’ve gone to parties and bars before though, and I never have any luck there either. I think I’d need to be more outgoing for anything like that to work for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:41 PM

Egg theory is cope. Take the stork pill
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:35 PM

I have not.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:29 PM

no women in my line of work no women with my interests no women in my church no female friends of my friends I never even had a chance. Do women even exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:28 PM

Fair enough. I guess they’re more likely to post about it on the two X chromosomes subreddit afterward. Either way, chances of success are still slim.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/24 11:30 PM

I got rated as a 4/10 by somebody before, so not too ugly, but not really attractive enough for women either.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/24 11:05 PM

And they’re also the type to complain to the employees that a man was “harassing” them if you bother to try to talk to them.

Have you spent time with women Aside from friends, no. That’s kind of the whole point of my comment. People who have actually been chosen at some point are speculating here just as much as I am. I don’t really know what it’s like to only be with a woman who tolerates me, and I’d wager none of the people who responded really know what it’s like to be unwanted for your entire life (and no, a 3 year dry spell is not basically the same thing).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/24 04:03 PM

This is so hard for me to wrap my head around. I genuinely feel like it would be more depressing to keep waking up every day alone, rather than beside someone who at least tolerates me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/24 07:09 AM

🫡
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 05:00 PM

Most would. We don’t have any standards. I used to DM a bunch of women from the foreveralonewomen sub and other similar places asking if they’d like to chat to get to know each other since I’m similarly lonely. Guess how many responded.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 04:48 PM

Only positive thing about being a permavirgin is getting the superpower of disproving the supposed existence of any femcel. I can just ask “would you date me?” and then you get the mental gymnastics about how the answer is no but she also somehow doesn’t have any standards and never gets any opportunities.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 04:46 PM

Pink pillers don’t want blackpilled men at all. If women ever became as desperate as men are, there would be no lonely people left.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/24 04:38 PM

I’m not too convinced in the efficacy of meeting online in general. I’ve DMed several women over the years on Reddit, and on the rare instances when they do respond, it usually just fizzles out after a while anyway. Or they’ll live on the other side of the world too. But I guess since everything else I’ve tried has been a failure, maybe it still is my best bet :\
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 06:49 AM

That’s fair then. I thought it was more of just a joke response in lieu of “it’s over, bro.” I don’t really have any money or autism, so it makes sense why I didn’t get that answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 06:44 AM

I did not say that I wouldn’t check on my daughter’s well-being wtf? She will just have an advantage in dating, but that doesn’t mean she couldn’t still struggle.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 06:42 AM

I’m shocked I didn’t get that one tbh. I got the suggestion of asking through an online community, even though I answered that I’m not okay with dating someone 100+ miles away.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/24 06:17 AM

Damn, I really wish my parents would tell me that :( Tbf though, I’m doing pretty well in life aside from the loneliness part, so maybe they just assume I’m fine with it.

Femcels don’t exist, OP. You’re not gonna find any here. And those who claim to be femcels never leave the house, so there wouldn’t be any friends who know them in the first place.

I somehow agree with your overall point and entirely disagree with your explanation. Rough bedroom stuff isn’t really benevolent misogyny. Benevolent misogyny is the stuff like chivalry, prioritizing her feelings above your own, and men taking the dominant/active role in the relationship.

As a late bloomer (still virgin) man… Wtf no?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/24 03:44 AM

:( I hope you’re okay, dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 05:48 AM

That does actually seem to work from my past experience. I’m definitely a sad drunk.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 05:47 AM

I think I might unironically do this.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 05:12 AM

How do people cry? I’m depressed all the time, but nothing ever comes out.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/24 05:09 AM

Femcel actively rejecting men. Imagine my shock

I’m 26 and still have not found anyone who wanted to kiss me 🙃. So sometimes those teen fears do come true.

I do not appreciate you invading my mind and sharing my fantasies with others.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/24 03:15 PM

It’s not really comparable imo. Some guys will not want to sleep with female virgins, but they’re pretty rare. Whereas lots of women will immediately raise a red flag if a man over 25 is a virgin. Our hands are tied; yours weren’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:45 PM

I’m not enough of a weeb to know who that is. I just admire the weebs for finding an alternative to human relationships. But why would you pine after an image on a screen when you could just go outside and find a living, breathing man to be with instead? I would only lust after fictional characters because no real women want me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:30 PM

Then what ought an older virgin to do if a lot of women wouldn’t want to give anyone a chance who doesn’t have enough experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 06:02 PM

3D women are overrated. While it’s true that 2D women can’t love you, it’s not like 3D women will either. I admire the degens who can cope by just watching anime all day.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 05:07 PM

Do you want to be alone? I’ve yet to encounter a woman who couldn’t find a man if she actually wanted to. They’re usually just dissatisfied with the options available to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 05:05 PM

Would you really want to do kinky sexual things with someone you’re not all that into? I personally wouldn’t.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 05:01 PM
2

Do you think older virgins should lie about their body count then to not get weeded out?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 04:59 PM

“Wailord chick” Lmao okay maybe you’re not so bad after all.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/24 05:40 AM

Where can I find these asexual women with no standards? 👀

I should have said a cause rather than implying that it’s the cause. It is very true that a lack of platonic kinship also is a very serious component of male loneliness. But frankly, I dispute that it’s the only factor. I have some friendships that I’m happy with, but I’m still extremely lonely because of being unwanted as a partner. Solving the one issue may help the other, but it won’t make it disappear. It’s part of the human condition to want to be wanted, to find love with another person. F…

I understand that, because it’s become taboo to cold approach women, most of the men approaching you probably will just be redpilled bros looking to score the way their guru taught them. So I won’t fault you necessarily for turning down cold approaches out of hand. But I think it’s equally important to not treat cold approaches like they’re automatically harassment either (obviously they can be, and frequently are sadly, but I’m talking about respectful approaches here). That is something that I…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 05:13 AM
10

Do the women who reject all cold approaches realize that not everyone has a massive social circle? Even if you have a moderate amount of hobbies and avenues to meet people, it’s quite likely that the only women one might meet are already taken. What then? Just sit and pray that you eventually meet someone new just so you can have a chance of her even being available? This sort of nonsense is what’s causing the loneliness epidemic in men imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 02:42 AM

I think most people know how bad loneliness can be because most have suffered from loneliness at one time or another Actually, that shows why a lot of people, including you potentially, do not understand how bad this problem is. Everyone feels lonely at times indeed, but being a lifelong reject is very different from the typical loneliness one feels when they’re going through a rough spot. People falsely assume it’s the same feeling, and then use that to downplay what is a much more severe strug…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 03:18 PM

Yeah, but I wanted to highlight the severe psychological consequences it has too. It warps the way a lot of us see ourselves and others. Feelings of despair, suicidal ideation, lack of empathy, endlessly morning missed milestones, dreading interactions with the opposite sex, inferiority complex, and more all seem to be common repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:33 AM

I looked up the definition and it does seem to imply that it’s caused by a specific occurrence, whereas undesirability is more of a chronic condition. So I’m inclined to agree with your assessment. However, I wish there was a better way to convey to others how much this condition can fuck up someone’s sense of self worth and mental health. I think a lot of people underestimate how severe the consequences can be, especially the longer it lasts. As cliched as it is to say, I’m pretty sure loneline…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:29 AM

Do you think going one’s life without any sexual or romantic desire could count as trauma? I know that’s a heavy word, but for a lot of older virgins like myself, it seems to have completely warped our psychology to such a degree that the term honestly feels warranted. But I’m hesitant to use it because I know I’ll get responses like “wow imagine feeling traumatized for not getting your dick wet. Way to be a whiny brat!”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 07:15 AM

My test levels are likely really low. I brought it up with a doctor, but he didn’t recommend taking supplements for it. Some be about acceptance. Maybe I should ask a different doctor about it through.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:48 PM

Fair enough. If you enjoy it, that’s all you need. I don’t enjoy it, so it would have to offer some extrinsic value to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:47 PM

You’d be surprised lol. Tbf though, I suspect that they have other interests; they’re just really bad at showcasing their personality on the apps. It’s a skill that a lot of men struggle with, and I think women might generally be equally terrible at.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:39 PM

Likes the office and dogs and nothing else. Talking to them is about as exciting as watching paint dry.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:27 PM

Nope. I worked out in the past, but I realized I basically got no benefit out of it. Now I just do and eat whatever I want, and it’s pretty chill. I think it’s only a huge benefit if you’re overweight or treat it like a full time job.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:25 PM
23

People can do whatever they want obviously, but I don’t think it really makes sense to have a stay at home husband or wife if there aren’t kids involved. It’s only really a full time job equivalent when there are kids in the picture.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 08:21 PM

Sounds like more women need to level up.

As a horny heterosexual man, even I am always shocked by how many dudes on here just want to fuck and want easy access to casual sex with loads of women. Like, the fuck? I just want a girlfriend I love and can commit to. I didn’t think this was a minority opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/24 06:43 AM

I have actually been getting matches on Hinge this week. Maybe there is hope after all. Granted, I’m not too into them and they’re not too into me, but maybe this is what settling looks like? I guess it would probably be naive to think a 26 year old virgin would be able to attract someone who is really into him, or for me to be really attracted to anyone who’s that desperate I guess. Either way, I’m hoping I can go on a date for the first time in about 5 years. If nothing else, maybe it could be…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 03:26 AM

Idk I’m just bitter at women who got to do what I want lol. Something about it being harder to find a committed man at that age and a revenge fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/24 03:22 AM
2

I don’t. You seem to be fixated on this today for some reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 06:49 AM

It’s always funny when people ask why I’m alone and then don’t reply. I can’t help but imagine them thinking, “Shit, this guy really is fucked.”
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 08:15 PM

Sure, but it’s probably also better for women too. As long as monogamy stays the norm of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 05:10 PM

No, this wouldn’t eliminate the Y chromosome. The goal would just be to make it less common. Maybe 3 women for every 2 men or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:36 PM

It’s definitely brought up in that context as well. Either way, we both seem to agree that it’s an accurate assessment, so I don’t think the gender imbalance would be too much of an issue for women. I definitely think a major factor for men struggling with relationships is our difficulty socializing. It’s pretty obvious since relationships are also a social function. But that’s not really my point with this thought experiment. Men’s social ability would be unchanged in this hypothetical, but rel…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:35 PM

I’m not sure what you’re getting at with your first paragraph. Do you think it’s cope? Because women bring it up all the time to defend why they don’t settle for male virgins. I take women at their word generally. In regard to the second paragraph, I don’t think the number of men is the issue. We men have trouble socializing in general; it’s not like we have a lack of male friends due to a lack of options. And besides, if men wanted friends, they could still have female friends in this hypotheti…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:21 PM

I’m glad I have a masturbation addiction then. I don’t like these dreams ruining my mornings.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 04:14 PM

The world would be a much better place if there there were fewer men than women, but not for the reasons red pill often claims (I don’t support harems lol). Think about it. It’s brought up again and again that women are more okay with loneliness than men are. So if there were 3 women for every man, then sure 2 in 3 women would generally end up alone, but that doesn’t bother them much. Further, with fewer men to go around, there would be less competition for women, so men might have higher chance…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 03:38 PM

Men either have no women interested in them or can get just about any girl’s interest. Cheating would probably be a lot less common if it weren’t for hypergamy.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 03:34 PM

There are a myriad of factors. Before I go into the specifics though, I should preface by saying I’m 26. It’s pretty likely that if I haven’t been able to make it work by this age, I will never be able to make it work. There are two main categories of hang-ups for me, and I’d say they are as follows. Men and women alike describe me as effeminate. I’m short, my voice is soft, I can’t grow facial hair, and I just generally have a baby face and “weak” look to me. I don’t have common interests. This…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 03:24 PM

Thanks for the reassurance, but I’m not too worried about it. For me, planning on how I could be a better lover is like planning for a zombie apocalypse or something. I don’t really concern myself much with things I doubt are ever going to happen, just on the slimmest off chance that something does occur.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 02:59 PM

I don’t feel guilty; I feel depressed. But “woe is me” content is not allowed, so I can’t really get into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 02:44 PM

I would probably be a bad lover. I’m still a virgin, so I can’t know for sure, but I have reason to believe it (and no, it’s not just because my dick is small, but that is also true lol). I have little control over my tongue, so I would be pretty terrible at oral, and I also can only last under a minute usually. I’d be pretty insecure about these things if I actually had any realistic belief that I’d ever get laid. One of the few upsides of being a hopeless virgin is that I don’t ever need to wo…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 02:41 PM

I haven’t dreamt about romance in a long time, but last night it actually happened. I was finally getting blissfully numb to loneliness, and then I had to be reminded how much I still crave affection. I don’t want to do anything today. I just want to go back to that dream.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 02:38 PM

Yes, I am trying to lose my virginity and failing. But I don’t think that being a virgin is a factor in my failures. The reasons for my struggles are the same as they’ve always been.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 02:54 PM
2

No, it’s not. But I’d say it counts as being an older virgin. I think the statistic is that around 95% of people have lost their virginity by age 25, so I’m well behind the curve at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 02:46 PM
2

Well duh, if I could get dates, I probably wouldn’t be a 26 year old virgin lol. My point is that I’ve never encountered anyone irl say it would be a dealbreaker. Most don’t actually care that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 06:27 AM
2

Well, I still never get any dates, but when I speak to women casually about it, they say it’s not that big of a deal and wouldn’t care. I’ve never been ridiculed for it either.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 06:07 AM

Yikes, talk about entitlement. Have those women realized there’s more to life than sex? Maybe their husbands are sensing their toxic personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 05:52 AM

How ugly am I if gay guys don’t hit on me either?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 05:49 AM

The “law” is finally starting to catch up with me. I’m back from a 30 day ban for being an inc*l, and I imagine it won’t be long til I’m permabanned. It’s been an honor shitposting with you all 🫡
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 05:47 AM

I’ve found that out in the real world, women are a lot less harsh about this sort of thing than the jaded users on this sub. Speaking anecdotally as an older virgin myself.

Lmao the female incel equivalent is a woman who is married with kids. Can’t make this shit up.

Is virginity even seen as a red flag in women? Isn’t it generally valued?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 03:07 PM

This post just sounds like a man larping to validate his own insecurities. And I say that as someone who also has these insecurities. Just look at the post history; it’s hard to believe this person exists. And even if she does, clearly these posts are meant as nothing more than bait. Don’t know how people fall for it tbh.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/23 03:02 PM
19

We resort to those things because we’ve given up hope on women genuinely wanting us. Obviously I’d prefer a real, loving wife over an AI simulacrum, but the latter is sadly more realistic of a wish in the year 2023. Besides, if I ever do find someone, it would probably be because I would have to settle. Why is it so unreasonable to expect women to do the same?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 03:56 PM

Hearing the jannies complaining about the incel problem on this sub gives me such a power trip lol. Just the mere existence alone of men like me pisses them off so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 03:52 PM
1

This is bullshit. Men and women’s difficulties and struggles are compared in every other arena, often when men have it easier. That’s what a lot of feminism is built around. If you think men and women’s issues shouldn’t be compared, then why is there so much discourse centered around how women are performing in the job market in comparison to men (see the wage gap for example)? You reap what you sow. Women introduced the comparisons between the sexes into the discourse, and now you’re unhappy wh…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 06:51 AM

lol no there aren’t. I’ve debated this a lot on this forum actually. Every woman, no matter how ugly, can receive validation and be desired. If you don’t believe me, look up the pig woman experiment.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 06:20 AM
2

There’s a lot to respond to here, so I probably won’t hit everything. Again, I’m not suggesting that the struggles of these bottom 5% are reflective of society at large. However, I can compare them to how women at a similar level experience life. And what’s extremely telling is that there is no female analogue of these men. There are no women at all who cannot find any sexual attention, any validation from men. You also spent a good deal of time talking about men who are voluntarily virgins at t…

Whatever the causes may be, the fact that there are no female incels speaks volumes on whether it’s just as difficult for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:58 AM
4

I doubt it. Plenty of incels think of themselves as having garbage genetics, so I imagine normal men also have similarly low views of themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:42 AM
1

Can you define what bottom tier men are? Sure. I think it’s a thorny issue to isolate what the causes are, so I tend to focus instead on the outcome. I’m talking about the men who are virgins later in life, say above the age of 25. These are not common by any means, but they do make up roughly 5% of the population. These are the men who have no options, other than exploiting a meth head, I guess. But that’s not just a bad option like what women have, it’s actively not an option. Besides, even if…

Women having other issues in dating does not imply that their issues are comparable in severity. Your reasoning is faulty.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 05:00 AM

And we have no standards because we have no options. It’s a chicken and egg situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:55 AM
6

Lmao imagine judging someone’s entire personality based off of one venting post on Reddit. Let me turn this around. You seem quick to make ad hominems. You must get no attention irl either. Don’t worry though; if you improve your personality more, then maybe you’ll be more dateable.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:55 AM
8

It is still a man vs. woman thing. It’s just easier to compare at the bottom strata of both genders. Bottom-tier men get no options whatsoever, and are likely to never receive any validation whatsoever. Bottom-tier women can get all kinds of validation through social media, apps, body positivity, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:52 AM

Nah, women’s standards are just delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/23 04:49 AM

Actually, I’m a goodie two-shoes who never violates the rules 🤓 Except the “no woe is me” rule. I’ll violate that rule like it’s the concept of human rights in Sudan.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 07:19 AM

This is heart-breaking to read, man. I can kind of relate, but I imagine you have it 10x harder than I do. I hope you can find another pet to give you that same level of acceptance that you deserve. You are good enough, even if no one else says that to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/23 07:00 AM

Feels like the SpongeBob scene of Manray trying to convince Patrick he found his wallet. I genuinely think some people here are denser than cartoon characters.

“Women devote their time to maintaining their looks […] or we don’t get any positive male attention.” Lmao this is such bs and you know it. A woman could walk out the door with 0 make up, awful hair, and probably even bad hygiene and still have plenty of suitors. Unless you only count male attention as positive if it’s coming from 6’ dudes making 6 figures.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/23 03:30 AM

Interesting. Guess I just slipped through the cracks for a while.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/23 04:11 AM

Was the “no woe is me” rule always around? Or did I literally bitch so much on this sub that the mods had to add a new rule? Either way, I guess I’m gonna have to find a new sub to vent in now. The virgin sub is usually okay, but most of the time I don’t really have anything warranting a full post. And it’s more fun when I can shed light on how hopeless dating is to normies. The virgins there already know how brutal it is.

Could be worse. Hinge has Catholic as a separate option from Christian lmao. I genuinely didn’t even know how to answer it as an Orthodox Christian. As an incel myself, I definitely relate and used to think like this too. But it’s important to realize that being a good person has effectively nothing to do with dating success, so we shouldn’t take our failures as criticisms of who we are as people. You can be a shitty person with tons of sex, or an amazing person with tons of sex. You can also be a shitty person who never gets laid and an amazing person who never gets laid. Now, don’t get me wrong, it still hurts a lot to feel that we have no…

So much. I can’t pick one, so I chose two. I wish people acknowledged that some guys are completely screwed. You don’t have to be a misogynist piece of shit to have trouble with women. Sometimes all it takes it two really bad qualities that are hard to change: like being autistic and short, or shy and unattractive. If you don’t meet this minimum threshold for basic attractiveness, then the chances you’ll get any affection in life is practically nil. I also wish people acknowledged that while inc…

There is not a single woman alive who could not get laid. Back in the hey day of inceldom, people would edit pictures of women to give them pig noses and other gross features, make dating profiles for these women, and they would still get matches. Relationships aren’t easy for women necessarily, but you’re delusional if you think sex isn’t easy for women. Not that it’s a positive for women either, as the sex probably wouldn’t be that enjoyable, but acting like it isn’t an option mistakes the iss…

/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/23 02:09 AM

You triggered my trap card. I’m about to rant about how femcels cannot and do not exist now. Any woman could always get with a guy if she lowers her standards enough (not to say she should necessarily, but the option is there). In other words, her celibacy is voluntary. Conversely, plenty of ugly men could not find literally anyone to date them, fuck them, or even touch them with a five foot pole. Show me a supposed femcel, and I’ll show you a liar. I would almost certainly date her since I have…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:43 AM

Unfathomably based. Thank you for actually being sensible lol. Only thing I might disagree with is the “every age group” part. I think once you reach 40 or so, it might technically be in men’s favor, as it starts getting harder for women to attract men with their looks at that age. Some still totally pull it off, but not everyone can. And the data reflects this, as that age range is when there finally start to be more single women than single men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:38 AM

I don’t think my post was really about that anyway. I was just venting about the people who pretend unattractive women can have it just as hard as unattractive men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:35 AM

And? I’m not talking about the average man’s experience here. I’m comparing the bottom tiers of both men and women, and low value women generally do not face as many issues with getting validation or even relationships as their male counterparts.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:29 AM

I didn’t say you don’t have struggles. You just don’t have the same struggles as men. You don’t need to worry about a lack of validation, for instance.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 05:27 AM

It’s kind of funny that one of the few privileges women have over men is being able to find dates and sex much easier, yet some will act like men have the advantage even there. Like, give me a break. It’s one of the most demonstrably false assumptions that you have to be seriously ideologically brainwashed to believe. Spend five seconds on Tinder and you’ll disprove the existence of “femcels.” And before anyone says it, I know that it can still be a struggle to find a guy who actually likes you …

/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:29 AM

Are normal men’s numbers really that low too? That’s honestly kind of depressing. Are guys really even finding their dream partner, or is it just them coming to grips with “if I don’t stay with her, I might not get another chance for years?” It’s like a less extreme of an issue I’ve been thinking about lately. I can’t even find one woman to like me, but suppose I finally did find someone. What if I don’t like her back? I guess the right answer is to not stay with her if I don’t really care much …
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:25 AM

I don’t know much about this, but I feel like it’s important to find someone who specializes in autism if you have the condition. It’s a pretty significant factor that means most generic advice probably won’t be as effective.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:20 AM

I like woolly mammoths if that counts.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 04:18 AM

I think it still shows a fundamental disconnect though. She is right that women don’t really think much about unattractive men, and thus they aren’t judged in the same way unattractive women are. But she seems to conclude that this means unattractive men have it better. We don’t; we just have different issues. We ugly men struggle more with actually finding someone to find us attractive. Because even though ugly women may be judged harshly, there will still generally be some guy who finds her be…

/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 04:59 PM
6

“I know other people […] who didn’t have a relationship until their 30s.” You do? Where do these people hide? I’ve never met anyone except for me who has literally never even kissed a girl at my age, and I’m only 26. Maybe it’s a cultural thing? I live in the US for reference.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 04:54 PM

It’s really sad. Positivity and kindness from women is so alien to some men that they just can’t wrap their heads around it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 04:51 PM
3

That’s a nice story. I’m happy that you gave an awkward guy a chance. I was kind of hoping it might inspire me with hope for something similar to happen to me, but I don’t think I could see it happening. Usually when you try to make small talk as an ugly/awkward guy, you just get stories like this that happen to you. I’m just gonna keep minding my business at bookstores I think. Again though, thank you for sharing, and I’m glad you’re one of the few good people out there.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 04:47 PM

Did he ask you out? Or did you ask him out? And where did you two meet? I can kind of relate to the guy here, so I’m trying to figure out where I could even realistically meet a compatible woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 03:35 PM

No one wants to look at the average man. Women rate most men below average in terms of looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 05:19 PM
6

That’s the million dollar question. If we all agreed on what that was, this sub wouldn’t exist. Personally, I think you have to reach a certain looks threshold and also be decently charming or charismatic in some way. Both criteria are beyond my ability.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:41 PM

For men, being desired by a woman either sexually or romantically is how we receive validation. Prostitutes do not desire their patrons; in fact they often detest them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 07:03 AM

But there isn’t an objective sense of humor. You can’t know you’re funny. You are only funny, by definition, if others find you funny. It’s similar with the feeling of validation surrounding being attractive. If you are not attracting anyone, then you are not attractive, by definition. No amount of feeling positive about oneself is going to change that facet. It’s not unhealthy to disagree lol. That’s some echo chamber/thought policing bs. To clarify, I’m not saying self confidence or self valid…

I fundamentally disagree with your second paragraph. Validation without an external component is just delusion. If I think I’m really funny and no one else does, am I funny? If I think I’m a good person and no one else does, how appealing am I really? It’s a necessary step to have someone else find something appealing in you before you can start working on putting to rest those insecurities. This is actually one of the things I think is fundamentally different for men and women. Both internal an…

I don’t seek empathy to feel better about my situation personally. I seek empathy because virtually no women seem to understand why men feel so miserable about a lack of validation. I think it’s healthy for society if men and women can better understand each other. For instance, I’ve come to recognize that women don’t necessarily live life on easy mode just because they can get laid easily. I think it’s made me grow as a person, and it’s a shame that you don’t want women to gain similar insight …

As OP spelled out, it’s a validation issue, not a sex issue. So no, paying for hookers isn’t going to help. They don’t actually want to fuck you; they just need money.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/23 04:46 AM
2

I agreed with most of your points except this one. Plenty of men do die from loneliness in a way, as it’s a common cause of suicide. It’s a little disheartening to hear you downplay these feelings as men just being “emotional.” Kind of like how men often downplay women’s issues by calling them overly “emotional.”

I think Jordan Peterson is just one of the few people who isn’t an incel to understand how much pain it’s causing men. He, like many of us, is searching desperately for some solution that could help those who are suffering, but sadly solutions as direct as that would be awful for women. So in a sense I don’t think he’s a horrible person for suggesting this; I just think it’s such an insidious problem in society that most of the would-be “solutions” are equally awful. Side note: this may be an ar…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/23 03:17 PM

Saved this post for the next time some idiot on here tells me “it’s fine to approach! Just talk about some shared interest!” I hate these kinds of women. At least his friend was a bro for sticking up for him. Edit: story might just be rage bait, which makes me feel better. But the fact that quite a few of the top comments are agreeing with OP’s supposed behavior in this story is still alarming. It’s also not an entirely unbelievable story based on the way the average cretin on 2X acts.

I agree that it’s different. I wasn’t the one asking a man if he could relate to female issues lol. But my point is that’s not really anywhere near the kind of difficulty we men have to face in dating. It doesn’t get any easier to find the right partner as a man. We have to deal with the issue of scarcity and still try to find someone compatible. There’s no woman who can really struggle to even find a guy interested in her, contrary to what “femcels” claim.

You can, and a lot of the people here probably do. But they’re not actually incels, they’re volcels. As a truecel, I disagree with your second observation. I’d be ecstatic if an ugly woman were genuinely attracted to me. But no ugly woman ever wants an ugly man, so I never get the opportunity. I’m not rejecting them; they’re rejecting me.
/r/AllPillDebate05/11/23 10:37 PM

Nah, there are just too many fakecels floating around. Back in the good ol’ days, we gatekept them from the communities. Now it’s all these average 18 year olds who are “blackpilled” because Stacy rejected them once. A truecel would try to make a relationship work with anyone who would give them a chance, but no woman will due to hypergamy.

It is and it isn’t. On the one hand, Orthodoxy shares a lot of theology and apostolic traditions with Catholicism (veneration of Mary, praying for saints to intercede, church hierarchy, no sola scriptura etc). On the other hand, Protestantism inherits a lot of Western traditions from Catholicism still, like original sin, scholasticism, and I think the eschatology are similar, whereas Eastern traditions are quite different in these respects. And the priests have long beards. That’s a pretty signi…

Okay, but don’t you see how that contradicts your previous assertion that women’s beauty standards are harsher. These people, as you say, receive loads of sexual attention after they transition. Maybe that doesn’t make life easier overall, but it does at least show that the beauty standards aren’t nearly as harsh. For a lot of trans women, they couldn’t meet the beauty standards as men, but they can meet the beauty standards as women, suggesting that those standards are lower or more attainable.

Interesting. I searched this and probably found the study you’re referring to. It doesn’t seem to mesh well with my anecdotal experiences, but if more studies support these findings, then I am willing to accept that things are changing. However, the fact there ever was such an imbalance seems to agree with my overall point.

I wish I lived in this same reverse reality you do. I’ve never met a woman who showed any signs of attraction to me, whereas I find women with pretty much all those characteristics attractive. I know I’m a sample of just one person, but every single metric we ever use to demonstrate how much less choosy men are never seems to be good enough for you people. Interestingly, there are many more MtF trans individuals than FtM trans folk. So clearly a lot of men are looking at women’s side of things and come to the same conclusion that maybe it’s a little easier over there. Those actions are all things you have control over, so I’d argue that’s still easier. Male beauty standards are often tied to immutable genetics like face and height. Just about every woman can be beautiful with enough work put in; plenty of men are just unattractive and we can’t do anything about it.

Lol women with autism are much more likely to be romantically paired than their male counterparts. I don’t know why people like you pretend that every male issue is always felt just as much by women. They are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/23 02:08 AM

I don’t think it’s unimportant. A lot of short men are clearly struggling. Sure, maybe most end up with someone eventually, but that’s such a reductive view of the issue. I don’t think it’s unimportant if so many short men feel unwanted and miserable. I’m so tired of people using all these tactics to downplay how awful it is to not even have a chance at dating with many women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 03:15 PM

“So I’m not saying that women are lying.” I never said women were lying.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 03:09 PM

Did you reply to the wrong comment? I didn’t say anything about it being over for all short men. I am responding to how people often dismiss short men’s struggles with dating by saying “oh, plenty of women just want a guy who’s taller.” It often isn’t this simple, and a lot of people don’t seem to realize how easy it is to get automatically disqualified by the average woman when you’re below 5’9.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 03:04 PM

I don’t normally put too much stock into the redpill’s mantra of “watch what she does, not what she says,” but it came to mind while watching a video by Jubilee. So many women, especially on here, say that they just need a man to be taller than them. But how much can one trust that? How well can anyone really discern that well from across the room if someone is taller than they are or not? For example, in the video, the woman rates one of the men a 3 because it’s a “pet peeve” of hers when the g…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/23 02:45 PM

^ Redditors when you say literally anything without a peer-reviewed study. Give me a break lol. Besides, I specifically narrowed my scope to the comment section of this particular thread. I didn’t even claim that most women worldwide dare like this (though I also feel pretty confident that is true). If you disagree with my assessment, feel free to scroll through the thread and compare the number of comments that would date a shy man and those that would not. Tally them up and report back to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 04:20 PM

Okay, that’s based as long as you’re consistent about how you view shy people of either gender. I personally don’t view shy people in such a negative light, but I guess that’s just because I’m shy myself naturally.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 02:37 PM

Yeah, I don’t get why people always bring up “personality” in contrast to looks when frankly, it’s mostly just as set in stone as looks. Hell, it’s probably easier to change your looks than your personality. If you’re born the wrong way, you end up alone, that’s how it is for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 02:36 PM

That said, most of the comments from women here also express a similar feeling of not being attracted to shy men. It makes sense, since dating is a social activity, but it still fucking sucks that you just lack one of the most validating experiences of being a human just because you can’t help being shy.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 06:50 AM
23

It’s funny that people always tell us shy guys to just go after shy women since they’re more similar. The issue is that shy women and extroverted women both tend to prefer outgoing men. It’s like height: short women and tall women both prefer (usually) tall men, leaving the short men with nobody. So if you’re short and shy, you’re really fucked.

Women don’t have to lower their standards, but it’s probably a good exercise in self awareness to realize that their standards are indeed often high. They might be less likely to come up with bs theories like “maybe the men are just struggling because their photos suck.”

How is that not privilege? Let’s consider another scenario to see if we’re on the same page about privilege. Two young kids are virtually identical, and both really want a pony for Christmas. The one has rich parents, while the other is dirt poor. So when the former asks for a pony, his parents give it to him, no questions asked. Whereas the other is told that it’s unreasonable to expect something so extravagant when his parents can barely put food on the table. The rich kid is surely privileged…
/r/AllPillDebate27/10/23 02:06 AM

I appreciate the kind intent. But what I’m trying to say is that I may be a 5/10 facially, but they ignore the fact that I’m also short and high-pitched. That has to drop me down to at least a 3/10.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:38 AM

Dude, it’s like 51% men to 49% women or something. It’s really not that. I don’t think transparently polygynous relationships are common enough to contribute, but it is highly possible that men who date multiple women in secret could be contributing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:05 AM

I guess my point is just that the pic doesn’t really fully capture how fucked I am when seen in person. It’s not obvious that I’m short or high-pitched from that. There are probably some other visual things that a picture doesn’t fully showcase as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:03 AM

Your highest was my lowest. I’m fucked. I’m barely even a real man.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 01:00 AM

I’ve posted on alts to the rating subs, and even the “brutally honest” ones always sugarcoat too much. They tell me I’m like a 5/10, and maybe my face is, but I’m short with a squeaky voice, so there’s no way I’m above a 3/10.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:49 AM

I’m kind of glad this exists. People always seem to gloss over how unattractive high pitched voices on men are, and I unironically think it’s at least part of the reason why I’m an incel. For the record, I got an average of 140 Hz. It never began for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:43 AM

Mine was 140. Fucking kill me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/23 12:42 AM

Yeah, it all depends on context and setting. I’m in academia, specifically math, and most of my female colleagues are in relationships, whereas most of my male ones are not. I imagine it might be totally different in another setting or context. What is weird though is that it still seems like most of the time, women are more likely to be in relationships than men. I can’t really figure out what’s causing this, other than potentially their propensity to date older men, leaving the current young g…

/r/AllPillDebate26/10/23 02:17 AM

The context here isn’t “who can get away with having preferences and still find a partner.” We’re talking about who is “allowed” to have preferences in the sense of not facing social backlash for expressing them. You didn’t address this at all. All you’ve managed to point out is that women are privileged in the SMP, which most of us already knew.
/r/AllPillDebate26/10/23 02:15 AM

I really want to. Looks fun as hell!
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 01:24 AM

Interesting. I knew there was a distinction, but I thought it was more of a subset type of thing. As in, not every Protestant is an Evangelical, but every Evangelical is a Protestant. I can’t even be bothered to look at Wikipedia for this though, so I’ll take your word on it. Every church started after 1054 is Protestant to me anyway lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 03:46 PM

Wait, I thought evangelicals were a type of Protestant? I’m Orthodox, so I have trouble understanding all these various splits.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/23 02:24 PM

Good question. It’s hard to narrow down the exact cause, which is why some incels think it’s 100% looks. I’m not that simple-minded, but it certainly doesn’t help that I’m 5’5, can’t grow facial hair, have a childish voice, and have a droopy eye. Besides that, what’s probably the biggest issue for me is social anxiety. I’ve been working on it for years, and I’m finally starting to see some small progress, but it’s an uphill battle with a limited social network and little interpersonal relationsh…

You people are straight up delusional lol. Whatever reality is, you invert it just for the sake of debate. Plenty of men, like me, have zero standards. The reason we’re single is because women would rather be alone than date someone like us, as OP stated. If women had lower standards, then all men would be dating. I wouldn’t say that I’m not delusional or hateful; it’s just different. A bitter truth that most people don’t want to acknowledge is that if someone is this lonely, they almost always become hateful in some way. Sometimes it’s directed outwards at women, and other times it’s directed inwards at oneself. I usually direct my hate at myself. Now, this isn’t to say it’s impossible to not have any hate. However, it’s still pretty handy to have such a thorough list of potential roadblocks. I’ll reply to some of them, but the TLDR is that I try my best, but I’m not perfect by any means. I have no standards. Only one that’s a little true, but I’m more resentful towards women in the abstract. I never hold any ill will toward a particular woman. Again, I have no standards. Would I be happy with a trad wife? Sure. Would I be happy with a progressive woman? Also fine. I have been trying to get dates for about a decade. Fuck off. I do not wish unhappiness or especially loneliness on anyone. It’s a miserable experience.

Suifuel for incels tbh. It’s funny how many copers will tell us that women aren’t sexual. No, they just aren’t sexual for losers like us. I love and respect women.

Ah see, when you’re not intentionally trying to make yourself sound awful, you come across quite nice. I’m happy you have a nice partner. I think it’s pretty difficult to rate effectively how desirable of a person we are, so I rely on lived experience to determine that. No woman has ever wanted me, which means I am the very bottom of the barrel. It hurts a lot to realize this, but it’s reality unfortunately. I think most people find me boring. I’m mainly into learning about medieval history, but…

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. It sounds like you’re really hard on yourself about it. I think it’s good to recognize your faults, but it’s also really important to have compassion. Like you said, you’re trying you’re best. I believe it’ll get better for you. No way I could do better. If anything, you’re probably out of my league. I’m 26 and still just sharing an apartment with others, I’m short and unmanly, boring and awkward. There’s a reason no woman has ever wanted to be with me. I’m a…

We’d probably be a bad combo since I’m also a bit messy, but yes I would 100% date this completely hypothetical woman. Honestly the fact that she works a job she cares about seems really sweet.

I think it just doesn’t track because we’re trying to understand why we’re unwanted. A lot of the advice we hear from women is stuff we already do, so it doesn’t make sense why we’re alone. The blackpill and redpill will tell men they’re alone for reasons that do seem more plausible at least since most of us aren’t tall, rich, hot, or assertive or whatever.

Tbh I’m struggling to find it for some reason. I was made aware of it because of a streamer who has experience in the mental health industry, so I trust her on its existence. I assume Costello is likely an author, since he is one of the first people I think of who is doing insightful research into incels at the moment. I’ll let you know if I do manage to find it. I’m pretty sure it is about incels specifically.

I legitimately find like 80% of the women I see on a daily basis to be attractive. And even if I don’t find them attractive, I’d have to hope that maybe with familiarity I can come to be aroused by them. There will always be desperate men out there for any woman who believes she’s undesirable.

Yes, I would be happy to try to make things work with any woman, whether she’s obese, autistic, or whatever trait you can think of. I am unwanted, so it would be delusional to turn down any chance at forming a relationship I can get. Beggars can’t be choosers. I think it demonstrates what I said about women being incapable of reaching the same level of desperation as men because so many women genuinely can’t even fathom this kind of loneliness. They always have options. I’m surprised that this i…

I’ll be honest, I think most lonely guys really are hoping there’s some miracle cure they haven’t heard yet. But deep down, we know there’s nothing new we haven’t heard before. That’s actually the real blackpill in my eyes. A lot of us have tried all the advice we hear, and for some of us, it just doesn’t work. We’re either too ugly, too socially handicapped, or have some other fundamental flaw that we can’t surmount. It’s not women’s jobs to magically heal these flaws, but it does feel frustrat…

Undesirable women are like cryptids. Loads of crazy people online claim they’re out there, hiding under our noses, yet I’ve never seen a single one. In fact, by definition they can’t exist: if you show me a woman who believes she’s undesirable, I will desire her. Men will always be more desperate than women. If women could be equally desperate, then there wouldn’t be any lonely people; all the desperate men and women would just pair up. So I’ll replace “undesirable” here with “less desirable”. M…

It’s really just the disparities in dating and views on sex that lead to us not being able to relate to the opposite sex; we’re pretty similar in most other ways. The gap in empathy is exacerbated by the fact that although both men and women have issues, both feel that the other sex’s issues would be a solution to their own problems. Namely, men receive no attention whatsoever and crave the constant validation that women receive. Women are bombarded with suitors who are only interested in sex or…

That’s kind of a separate discussion. I wasn’t really talking about they “why” of incels not attracting women. The topic of the post was that you need to be liked to be considered likeable, and I was piggybacking off that to mention how an uncomfortable corollary of this is that incels are by definition unlikable people. I wasn’t really asking for a guide on how to get out of inceldom lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/23 02:06 AM

Sure, but dating is never easy. The point is that they have options to work with and a chance to find happiness if they work hard enough. Men, especially unattractive men, do not have those opportunities at all.
/r/AllPillDebate12/10/23 01:59 AM
6

It’s also a known fact that lonely men (or it might be incels specifically) report far lower feelings of satisfaction with therapy than other groups. So it’s not like all these men aren’t going to therapy out of shame; plenty are probably just aware that it simply does not work for them.

Pretend for the sake of argument that 90% of men on Tinder want just sex. Then since most women (even ugly women) can easily get 100 matches in no time at all, then that’s an expected 10 men who are legitimate prospects. That’s probably 10 times the number of opportunities this hypothetical woman’s male counterpart could muster.

We incels have been saying this for years, but people just assume everything that comes out of our mouths is nonsense, and it gets discarded out of hand. We are unlovable because no one has (or presumably ever will) love us. But then someone always comes around and says some bs about how we just need to love ourselves first or some crap.

Men want to fuck most women, but that’s because they do actually find most women attractive. This is a big difference between men and women. I’d only say the compliments are not genuine if the guy is saying things like “you’re the hottest woman here.” It’s possible that he means that, but more likely that he’s just trying to get in your pants. But if he’s complimenting a particular feature, even if he compliments lord of women on that, it’s probably just because he does genuinely find that featu…

I struggle to believe any kind of personality is ever more important than looks. Your personality usually doesn’t matter at all unless you’re at least attractive enough to get her attention in the first place, for which you generally need to meet her looks threshold. If you’re ugly and don’t meet most women’s looks threshold, then having a “generous” personality won’t matter at all. You can’t provide for a girl if there’s no one to provide for.

Been trying to get better at talking to people for about 8 years. Still suck at it. I can assure you that being scrawny is undesirable to a lot of women. It makes me look less masculine. I’ve even encountered a decent amount of women who would prefer a fat guy over a skinny one. I’m 5’5.

How is it not true though? I think less than 5% of people are still virgins at this age, and I imagine most of them are virgins by choice like monks. Most people experience as teenagers the things I still only dream about. The older I get, the more women are going to expect that I should have my shit figured out, and I wouldn’t blame them if they didn’t have the patience to put up with a guy who’s experiencing things for the first time they figured out over a decade ago.

I appreciate the suggestion, but the root cause of my depression is not being wanted. The lack of kisses and sex are a symptom of that, not the cause. Though I do sometimes wonder if experiencing a simulation of desire (GFE) could at least make me feel better. It’s something worth considering, and I might bite the bullet and give it a try by the time I’m 30.

I don’t know tbh. I think at some point it’s wiser to just cut one’s losses and accept the way things are. I’ve been banging my head against the wall metaphorically for the past several years trying to improve the areas where I’m lacking, but I have little to show for it all. It can sound harsh when others say things like that, but I think it’s more of a mercy than to hold on to hope for years only to be disappointed again and again by life.

It’s just nice to know we’re living on the same planet as them lol. Sometimes it feels like an incel could say the sky is blue, and then a woman would say “yikes, this is why you’re inkwell. It’s actually not always blue, sweaty.”
/r/AllPillDebate07/10/23 03:46 AM

For real. Nothing else before or after comes close.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 03:44 AM

It’s okay. It doesn’t scratch quite the same itch though. Maybe because the rules are stricter there (no generalizations allowed). Or maybe it’s just because the incel subs were funnier. But I do agree that the people are more reasonable there. The more reasonable a virgin, the more miserable and joyless. The pinnacle of that is the forever alone sub, where everyone is very fair and understanding toward others, and likewise it’s the most soulless discussions usually.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/23 03:23 AM

I miss the incel subreddits tbh. The only forums left are the batshit crazy ones like .is or whatever. Believe it or not, not all of us are completely unhinged, and some of the subs (like incels without hate) were pretty calm. They were hilarious too, but now we have no place left to be except infesting subreddits like this that clearly don’t want us.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 03:13 AM

Lmao “saucy wenches” But realistically if I went to a Renaissance fair, my experience would be the same as 90% of the times I try to put myself out there. I would show up, not talk to anyone, leave, and want to kms. Obviously I can’t make friends if I don’t talk to people, but I just can’t get the hang of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 04:22 AM

I’m passionate about my work (math research), which is male-dominated; medieval history, also male-dominated; and video games, which don’t take me out of the house. Edit: forgot the context of this message, which wasn’t about dating but friendships in general. The bigger issue there is that I’m just too socially stunted. Doing things I enjoy doesn’t change anything.

There was a post here today about social circles. The thing is, I already know that this is the strongest way to get into a relationship, and the only one likely to work for an unattractive guy like me. But the thing is, that’s exactly why I know it’s hopeless for me. I’ve been trying for years to get better at socializing, and my progress is so minimal. I always struggle to just make conversation with people. Plus, I don’t have any hobbies that would take me out of the house, so I have to force…

Everyone has their struggles, and I didn’t mean to imply that your life was ideal. For instance, I’ve had major depressive disorder and used to struggle with self harm and suicidal ideation. But having a significant other can help someone endure those things and give you a reason to keep fighting. I hope you can overcome your substance abuse issues.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 03:23 AM

Aww, the redemption arc! I remember a while ago you commented saying you hated incels. I don’t hate you either. Your life just makes me depressed because I’ll never have what you have.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:58 AM

Yeah, I can’t really come to peace with the unfairness either. I’ve been poisoning my mind lately by observing too much how easy it is for attractive guys. I have been trying bit by bit to go out of my comfort zone, but I haven’t had any success yet, as the post suggests. I hope theatre can provide you some happiness at least. No one deserves to feel this way.

Two things: It can be equally difficult for some people to make friends. Some people are autistic, painfully socially anxious, shut-ins, have extremely niche interests, and so on. It’s insensitive to act like it’s as simple as “just go find some friends then!” Even if you do have friends, they’re not a cure for romantic loneliness. Sure, it can and usually does help somewhat, but some of us have a hole in our heart that friends simply can’t fill. We need this to be happy.

Also, please stop with the ‘women will share a man’ nonsense. Women aren’t a monolith. Scroll through all the replies here. There are a couple who are saying the millionaire and even more who are saying they would go for the millionaire if it were an open relationship. That’s a pretty hefty oversimplification. Self improvement is never a guarantee for finding a partner; it just increases the odds. Not every failure is for a lack of trying. You can do everything “right” and still end up single for most of your life. I know plenty of people who are in shape, earn good money, etc. who still struggle to find anyone.

Well, everyone is always telling men to lower their standards. If men can, I’m sure you can find a way too. But that’s besides the point. I’m not saying you should necessarily try to lower your standards. It’s an option, but I understand why you wouldn’t choose it. Notice the operative word though? Once again, still a choice. “Would you rather eat this stale bag of chips or not?” That is still a choice, but with an obvious answer imo. Men are not even offered the stale bag of chips though. You unintentionally hit the nail on the head by saying “choosing to be single.” I think that’s what it really comes down to—women are happier being single because for them it’s usually a choice. For most men, it’s not a choice, and overall we have very little agency to even do anything about our situation.

I agree with all this, which is why I think that dating apps are a waste of time for men. I haven’t had much success irl either, but it’s a better chance than on Tinder or Hinge. You don’t even get a chance to chat most of the time on an app.

Dating apps can work for women, but they absolutely do not work for the majority of men. I’m not saying this because of anything from social media; I’m saying this based on personal experience. Getting rejected by absolutely everyone is not good for your self esteem.

Well sure, but I don’t think most people (or at least most men) want to wait that long to lose their virginity. So if someone is a virgin at that age, it’s a pretty good sign that they’re struggling. With that said, I don’t know if any of these guys are virgins, and I doubt that they are. I only know that I’m a 26 year old virgin.

My point is that you have no idea if they’re not also doing other things to try to meet women. To be fair, most are fairly young. I think they’re mostly around 23 years old, but a few are older. I think the oldest I know is only 29 or so.

Well, I suppose we would need some data to assess how many men are shy or awkward, although I guess that would be hard to quantify. Personally, I actually think it is rather common for most men to be shy or awkward to some capacity.

It feels like I am, but when I asked a psychiatrist about it, she seemed to be pretty confident that I wasn’t. But like, I get really obsessive about certain topics, struggle to form social connections with people, have a hard time reading facial cues, and more. So… I don’t really know 🤷‍♂️

I don’t sexualize women, especially not strangers, I am a thin short guy whom even women could probably overpower and about as unscary as a man gets, and never grab women. I probably would suck at sex, but women never get to find that out. So by your logic, I should be drowning in women interested in me. I wonder where they’re hiding.

What do you think is holding those incels back? Do you think it would be easy for them? (Hope these didn’t sound like rhetorical questions; I’m just curious of your perspective.)

This isn’t surprising though, and the men you know irl might not be a representative sample. Men who do well socially are generally not going to have too much difficulty dating, and by virtue of the fact that you as a woman know these men, that means they’re in the category who do well (or alright) socially. The men who are struggling are shy, awkward guys who don’t have many friends, and probably no female friends. You’re not going to interact with these men by the definition of their existence…

I genuinely feel like the Margot Robbie thing was a miscommunication (or maybe I’m just coping). I know there were men saying she’s “mid” or whatever, but what I think they really meant is that while they understand she’s highly conventionally attractive, she isn’t really their personal cup of tea. You know, kind of like how women all the time bring up that they’re not personally into, say, Henry Cavill even though he’s an objectively attractive man. Men can have varying tastes in women too, and…

/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/23 04:55 AM

What I said is the corollary of your advice. There are no other women to pursue if you never receive indicators of interest from anyone. This is something a lot of women often struggle to understand about men’s situation, so I think it’s worth elaborating on. When we say anyone, we mean anyone. Now, there definitely are losers out there who are only shooting their shot with women who are ridiculously out of their league, but they are not representative of most guys and I don’t really care about …

Look man, I feel pretty hopeless about things too, but we have to keep trying. Giving up completely just leads to a really dark place for most people. I don’t want to feel completely helpless. I’m going to try everything I can. If it all fails, at least I can be a bitter old man who knows I did everything I could and the world failed me.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 09:46 PM

Fair enough, I should have said that men who go that long without being hit on can safely expect it will never happen. To be honest though, I don’t think most guys have your experience. Most of the unsuccessful guys I’ve spoken to can’t get a woman to look in their direction. It’s a different set of difficulties if you can garner some initial interest but can’t make something last. The OP’s post seems more directed at the former group rather than the latter.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 03:16 PM
12

That’s cool, bro. Some people win the lottery too. Doesn’t make it a viable strategy to buy lottery tickets. And no, by definition, men who are maybe 22 and older who have never been in a relationship can all safely assume that they won’t get hit on by a girl. It’s extremely counterproductive to hold onto that hope.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 02:55 PM
4

Yeah, but plenty of men don’t ever experience those indicators of interest, so they can’t just wait around for them to happen. We need to just shoot our shot.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/23 02:43 PM
13

This comes across as pedantic. The sorts of men who are struggling to find a relationship are generally not going to be approached by women, so it’s not worth bringing up. For the most part, women don’t approach, so that’s what we need to focus on.

Okay, but I have a hard time believing this is a typical experience for a below-average woman. There’s a reason the Internet is crawling with single, virgin men, but you rarely ever hear about virgin women online. Almost every woman I’ve spoken to or met in life has had some dating experience, and some of these women were quite physically unattractive. Men’s standards are on the floor these days. I know I would give just about any single woman a shot, and there are plenty of men like me.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 01:37 PM

I disagree with almost all of this. First, about men not doing skincare, grooming, etc. as much, it’s just way more marginal for men than it is for women. I dress pretty well, keep myself clean shaven (since I don’t grow enough facial hair for a proper beard or anything), wear nice fragrances, and generally do what I can. It bumped me from like a 4 to a 5. Whereas with women, the right makeup, hair, and skincare can legitimately take her from a 4 to an 8 or higher. There’s less incentive to men …

Autism is treated, but not in the context of how it affects your dating prospects. There’s not a lot of good therapy out there for dealing with feelings of being unwanted.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 07:59 PM

It doesn’t need to be cured; we could at least try treating it instead. So few therapists are able to meaningfully help men who can’t have romantic lives, and the data shows that most men who experience loneliness don’t even find therapy that helpful. We should train therapists and psychologists for these issues so that they can do their jobs and help these people through their pain. Finding romance and love is literally one of the most important experiences in the human condition. It’s morally …

/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/23 03:32 PM

Maybe acknowledging that it’s a problem men face might be a good start? This thread is full of whataboutisms and deflections. Except, as OP mentioned, autistic women demonstrably get into relationships more often than their male counterparts. So it doesn’t really affect OP’s statement how the autism manifests. These women, regardless of their weird factors, still find men who desire them.

“Don’t stick your dick in crazy” is usually said in the context of a man who has either already stuck his dick in crazy, or is considering it. I think single men are generally unhappier than single women, but I don’t really think this is the reason why. I think what might play more of a role is that as a single woman, you at least don’t have to worry about feeling undesirable. Most women who are single still have men hitting on them or pursuing them; they’re just either awful people or not up to her standards. But with men, it’s usually the case that you’re receiving no signals at all that you are even desirable to anyone, which is rea…

“Plenty of women like shy guys.” Lol sure. Almost every shy guy I’ve ever known, including myself, has struggled with women. If bluepillers were correct, it almost seems like no men would ever struggle. Your group claims that height isn’t a disadvantage, that shyness isn’t a disadvantage, that looks aren’t a disadvantage… then why are so many men unable to find a single woman? Clearly there must be something holding us back.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 03:10 PM

Except female introverts can still be asked out, so they’re not really at a disadvantage either. It’s really only a stumbling point if you’re a male introvert.

I mean, I get what you’re saying and can see where you’re coming from, but it does strike me as a bit misandrist to compare a vibrator to a person. Would you not feel a bit icky if a guy said something like “fleshlights are better than women?”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/23 03:06 PM

Maybe the explanation is a bit lacking, but the general phenomenon seems really well attested. I, and most other hopelessly single men I’ve encountered, tend to have the common denominator that we’re all shy. It might not be a death sentence in of itself, but it could very well be if there are already other detracting factors like height or autism on top of it. I’ve never met an introverted man who did well with women who wasn’t also well above average in terms of looks.

I do actually agree that persuading society to allow men to looksmax by wearing lifts would be helpful. That said, the primary pushback on this is chiefly from women, not men. The only reason any men are opposed to doing this is because of the responses they get from women. I don’t think I’ve ever heard any man say it’s “feminine” as you claimed earlier.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 10:03 PM

Exactly, the difference is that those beauty enhancements actually give women the results they want, whereas men compensating through lifts or shoulder pads will not get them results. Most women just think you’re insecure for using them, so it actually lowers your desirability.

By your own admission, you’re looking at the worst possible edge cases, so I’m not really sure what the point is. I think the power imbalance is a good thing. Low value men who pursue younger women would otherwise be on the other end of a power imbalance in a relationship with a woman their age. Going with a younger woman evens things out.

On that, I agree. I think this is something people hardly ever consider about later virgins. Even if one does manage to find someone willing to date you, your chances of having a happy, healthy relationship with that person are pretty much fucked.

I think men don’t necessarily feel that way about marriage unless they have reason to believe that they’re not romantically or sexually desired in the marriage. If a woman was clearly passionate with him, then I doubt a guy would have any hesitations about marriage. But if she seemed to mainly just value his stability and personality, then a man might feel cautious about marriage, and even dissatisfied with the relationship altogether.

This thread is convincing me that modern Western culture has completely forgotten what it’s like to sacrifice for a relationship. It’s like some alien concept to you people. It’s all so disgustingly selfish; no wonder there’s so many failed relationships these days.

If he’s in his 30s and sexually inexperienced, then in all likelihood the answer is no, he could not just find another partner.

I mean, even if that’s what you mean when you use the term “husband material,” most men are still going to take it negatively and perceive it the way OP did. Isn’t that enough reason to find other words to use instead? Communication goes both ways; you need to make sure that your intended message actually matches the received meaning by the other party.

I’m not too surprised you don’t want to argue anymore. Incels’ lives are too depressing for most people to stomach, so you’ll do everything in your power to ignore the real experiences some of us face. Fair enough, some stones are better left unturned, and blissful ignorance probably is preferable.

Now saying you have options but deny those options… Yeah, this is the kind of strawman I’d expect when discussing incel problems. The number of incels who feel entitled to something better than they can get is a minority. But people like you focus on them because it’s easier to confront those morons. Meet me halfway and just drop this point altogether because it’s completely irrelevant to the people here who cannot currently attract anyone—not the overweight women, not the unpopular outcast wome…

I could totally be wrong about this, but I’m pretty sure most passport are incels, not MGTOW. So they’re usually much less concerned with divorce and more concerned with getting a relationship in the first place. The idea seems to be that non-Western women are less superficial in terms of looks. In my personal experience, I almost never have any success with women, but the closest I’ve ever come to dating was with Asian women. I think it comes more down to racial fetishism for white men that act…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/23 03:42 PM

Almost like how whenever men vent about their inability to find anyone who likes us, all we hear is “so you must be so entitled for thinking you deserve a partner!1!1!1” I’m almost inclined to say it’s karma.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 02:26 AM

I think OP’s comparison is a little faulty since, as you say, most normal women probably couldn’t pull a guy out of the blue. I think a better comparison would be if no man ever desired you, which is the reality a lot of young men face much more than women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 09:55 PM

I stopped reading after you mentioned your boyfriend tbh. If your issues were really comparable to men’s, you’d be unable to find a romantic partner too.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 09:51 PM

OP, I admire that you tried to build a bridge of empathy, but I think it’s frankly a fruitless endeavor here. The state of being undesirable (as opposed to feeling undesirable, more on that later) is so entirely foreign to 99% of women that I think most genuinely can’t wrap their heads around it. It’s like how most men can’t truly empathize with how it feels to receive too much attention. I’ve heard that it can be difficult for women to deal with, but it always feel like suffering from too much …

That slightly autistic woman will probably still prefer a neurotypical guy. It’s pretty common unfortunately that autistic women get with NT guys while autistic men just end up alone. Women can have different tastes in men, but there are a lot of universals that very few will deviate on.

The problem is that different women will tell you a different set of “no-go” locations where you shouldn’t ask a woman out. I’ve listened to a lot of women’s thoughts on this over the years, and it turns out that if you combined all the settings that have said are off limits, you’d get every possible location. “Don’t hit on women at the gym; they just want to have a workout in peace.” “Don’t hit on women at the bookstore; they just want to be able to find a nice book.” “Don’t hit on girls in you…

I respect that you at least acknowledge the difficulty that height imposes. With that said, I have no idea how one could possibly have a positive attitude towards height if you reach a certain age and still have never received any romantic or sexual interest from a woman, as many of us here probably have experienced. You’d have to be delusional to not feel the situation is hopeless at that point.

no one is proving men to approach I mean, the circumstances are. We never get approached, so the options are to pursue women or stay single for our whole lives. Sure, we still get a choice, but when both options are terrible, I think that’s a valid cause for complaint.

Open relationships are just cuckolding with a sprinkling of denial thrown in. Unless the man is a 10/10 Adonis, the woman will have innumerably more sexual opportunities than the man. So the guy gets to stay home with his hand while his woman is getting her back blown out by the fling of the week. Maybe if sexual availability were more even, I’d consider it. But in the current sexual marketplace, hell no.

Fair enough, but plenty of other men are also saying they’d prefer woman A, and I doubt they’re all incels or short. But hey, if women really wanted a guy who doesn’t care so much about superficial things, they could always give us anomalies a chance.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 06:29 PM

It’s totally valid that media and advertisements target women’s insecurities a lot more than they do towards men (although I’d argue it’s an increasing trend these days for media to also prey on men’s insecurities). That said, that wasn’t really what I was arguing against. It’s not about how much the outside world enforces these insecurities; it’s about how men and women perceive themselves. How is it desperation to want a woman who desires you over superficial qualities?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/23 05:59 PM

Is she? Most of the effort women put into becoming attractive is pretty basic compared to the hoops men have to jump through. Women: learn make-up, dress nicely, do their hair, some small amount of exercise (optional). Men: dress stylishly, get fit at the gym, develop hobbies that are attractive to women, become successful in your career, learn to be outgoing and//or funny, etc. I grant you that the average man is certainly not doing all of these things, but most are doing a subset, and each one…

I’m in a nerdy field too, so I can weigh in. No, I side with the person you’re arguing against. In my field, probably only half or fewer of the guys have girlfriends, while most of the women are in relationships. Shockingly, the few guys in relationships tend to be the tall/attractive/athletic ones. It’s quite pronounced and easily noticeable in fact, and even women I’ve spoken to irl have agreed with me.

Fair enough. I just fear that I’ll be 30+ by the time I’m “prepared to start dating,” and that’s already depressingly late. I guess it’s better than never dating at all though. I have been trying to do more social things anyway. It’s just a struggle since my career leaves me very little free time, and there aren’t too many social hobbies I enjoy. I can force myself out of my comfort zone, but I suspect I won’t make progress with befriending people if we don’t actually have much in common.

I’d be happy as long as she found something about me attractive. I Just think we as a species put way too much stock in what our lizard brains tell us is important.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/23 09:15 PM

Well, I’ll answer your question from the point of view of an average dude since I’m undesirable and wouldn’t be able to find an ugly woman who likes me, let alone a hot one. But even if I were average, this perfect version of a partner that we envision in our heads is unrealistic and unhealthy. There’s so much wrong with this comparison. I think I see two main issues though. Women don’t even need to be good at make-up to attract a partner. My sister never uses make-up, and there’s never been any issue of her attracting men. It’s a nice way to boost yourself, but it’s not like most women wouldn’t be able to date without it. I’m saying you’re probably projecting for assuming I don’t know how to do basic shit like take a shower lmao. You don’t know me, and you have no idea what might be holding me back. The “army of simps” rhetoric is somewhat hyperbolic, but it also usually only happens for above-average women. The contention is not that this is the experience of every woman, but that every woman—regardless of how ugly or undesirable she is—will have someone interested in her. And unsurprisingly, this observation holds true for you as well. It’s no surprise that the old adage that “there’s someone out there for everywhere” often comes from women. Women are privileged in that this is almost alw…

Tfw when dating a short/ugly guy is so unpalatable to women that’s it’s seen as a “life of misery.”

How old are you? And by that do you mean you’ve never had a relationship/hookup at all, or just that men don’t categorically ask you out much?

Oh no! Not my Reddit Monopoly money! What will I do?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 01:44 AM

Yeah, hence the original argument. The need for change and growth in the context of dating is only really a need for men. Women can do fuck all and still have men interested in them. That’s not to say they shouldn’t still try to grow as people for its own sake, but it’s not mandatory to find a partner like it is for men.

I should have been more clear. A man that’s actually attractive to women is how I’m defining Chad here. This is just semantics. The point remains that women don’t have to try to at least have options, whereas men have to go reach their apotheosis to have some 2/10 smile at him.

Yes, and most of these women have plenty of orbiters already. They don’t do it so they can be more appealing to men, they do it so they can be more appealing to Chad.

More evidence that women literally cannot fathom what it’s like to be truly unwanted. I get it, we men generally have a hard time empathizing with female-specific struggles too. I just wish people recognized that some issues are unique to men. There literally is no female equivalent to an incel’s level of desperation; otherwise, she’d find someone in a heartbeat.

Oh weird, someone engaged genuinely with the shitpost. Anyway, you seem to be mistaken: I’m not redpill, I’m blackpill (understandable confusion as there is no flair for it). I’ve already looked at myself and realized there’s nothing that anyone would want there. I’m trying to better myself but by bit, but here’s the thing you self-improoovement folks never seem to get: some of us do try and still fail. And I get it, you can’t just accept defeat, so you have to try again and fail again and so on…

Good idea, maybe I’ll check out this one sub called PurplePillDebate. I’ve heard they’ve got loads of sound advice on how to have sex over there.

If there is, I haven’t met any. Are you familiar with the pig lady experiment? Back in the day, some incels edited a picture of a woman to try to make her as unattractive as possible (even going as far as giving her a pig nose). They then made a dating profile for this creation, and lo and behold, she still got matches.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/23 12:09 AM

Yes literally lol. Before anyone snarkily brings up escorts, some incels even get turned down by them lol. I’m legitimately at the point where I’m considering if I should go after crackheads or something.

Gotta be the best at something, even if it’s the best at being the worst. In all honesty, it’s really because it’s annoying going on the virgin sub or FA sub and seeing posts from women about how Chad rejected them :( I cannot relate, and it should be relegated to a separate sub (there’s already a FA women sub anyway.)

Sorry, I forgot heterosexual sex was a female privilege. Anyway, I know you’re memeing too, but honest to God I’ve gotten so desperate that I’ve considered going to a gay bar just to feel what it’s like to be hit on. Edit: Here’s a link to a thread I made about it in case you don’t believe me.

This is what female dating privilege is. Knowing you’re attractive to enough men that eventually you’ll find a good match who genuinely finds you sexy, regardless of what you look like. Meanwhile, men need to just accept that next to no women will find us genuinely attractive, so we better latch onto anyone who at least tolerates us. Plus, it seems like you’re advocating that men only go after women we feel are genuinely hot, which is absurd. It seems like a projection of female dating methods l…

I wasn’t actually the guy who asked for sources in the first place lol. Yeah, I got bored because your examples didn’t indicate what you claimed they were. You haven’t provided any compelling examples. I’m sorry, but “fatsies” is pretty fucking tame, all things considered. You realize you’re on the Internet, right? It’s certainly a far cry from “land whale” or “fat cow” like your meme suggests.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/23 07:32 PM

If a fair society entails most men living their lives alone because women’s standards are that high, then I don’t want a fair society.

I got bored after reading the first 3 non-examples, but where are the insults in these exactly? I guess the first one used the term “fatsies,” which is kind of mean. The only thing I’m agreeing with here is that they’re needlessly long lol.

Also goes the other way. -Leftists arguing that a small portion of elites hoard most of the wealth. -Leftists explaining how the 80/20 rule in dating is a myth and you just need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. People seem to weirdly just invert whatever their economic politics are for their dating philosophy.

Let’s not cope too hard. The average age to lose virginity is like 17, and I assume having a first kiss would probably be around 15. We’re definitely the abnormal ones left behind in life. It’s just the statistical reality. Anyway, I’ve struggled most of my life with socializing, which is the main reason I’m alone in the first place (among many other reasons unfortunately). I currently have a somewhat decent social circle of coworkers though. I try to go out and take advantage of any social oppo…

So let me get this straight. The disadvantaged women could have someone who would commit to them, but they simply don’t desire such individuals. The disadvantaged men are the aforementioned undesirables that no one will even consider dating. And how exactly does this support that women don’t have it easier?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/23 05:53 AM

The truly hopeless ones probably also aren’t going out much. This is one of the rare instances where I think not touching grass can give a better picture lol. Because all the hopeless guys who can’t find a girl are at home on forums like this. So the people you see in your friend group are already in a position that’s more favorable to them.

I agree heavily on the aspect that it’s not something that can be changed. That’s why I admittedly do kind of lean somewhat towards bl*ckpill, albeit with a bit more nuance than others. Ultimately, the dating scene is just hopeless for some of us; there’s not even really any realistic solutions that can happen. If anything, it’s strange to me that people get so shocked that people like this without any hope of finding love or happiness or even just validation as a human being sometimes lash out …

Yes, and the bitterness and frustration emerges when you cannot find even one. Hence, the whole existence of incels more or less.

I feel like everyone knows men who are below average in terms of being conventionally attractive and who are, nonetheless, in relationships See, whenever I hear this sentiment, all I can think of is that infamous OK Cupid study that found that women find 80% or so of men physically unattractive. So like, of course from women’s perspective it seems like a lot of ugly guys are getting girls? That’s because to most women, most guys are ugly. And I get it, I’m not so bl*ckpilled that I think it’s li…

Literally relationships and happiness could be in the palm of their hands if they just TRIED TO BE A BETTER PERSON. You were making decent points until you got here. I’m trying to find a civil way to say this, per the sub’s rules, but this really speaks to a shallow level of empathy for many men’s actual experiences. It’s such a fundamental mismatch from my lived experiences that I don’t even really know how to argue against it. It’s like when you get the crazy right-wing people who act like rac…

I’m in incel-adjacent places pretty frequently, so I’m not shocked by any casual sexism since that would be pretty hypocritical. But I do find it hilarious what misandrist things women can get away with saying compared to men. Imagine if I casually dropped that I would be indifferent to the widespread loss of women’s lives. Somehow, I don’t think the Reddit police would take too kindly to that.

I’m not sure I understand what your point is. That article is exactly what I’m talking about though. How could the average number of sexual partners for 5’4 men be 9, and the average for the other heights above that, if the overall average is about 9? That’s statistically impossible, unless the numbers in that first study are not actually reflective of the general population.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 07:04 AM

It’s truly baffling to me that with any other social issue, when you bring up the struggles and injustices one side faces, you’re almost always met with sympathy and commiseration. But then when heightism is discussed, it’s always “grow up and get over it.”

I too watched some of that Destiny debate. Anyway, I’m honestly kind of skeptical of that study. The authors themselves even point out that it’s odd that their data doesn’t really track with most of the other studies about the disadvantages short people face in dating. Not only that, but even the supposed lowest averages for the 5’4 men seem to be significantly above the average for American men (most of the sources I’ve looked at have different numbers for this, but the largest average I found …

I’m going to be totally honest and say that I think I started feeling off-put by feminism once I started going down the incel rabbit hole. (I still think the blackpill has its legitimate points over red/blue pill, but that’s another rant for another time.) I honestly think that the lack of intimate relations with women is what drives a lot of men to feel more hostile to women. People can screech about us being ‘entitled’ all they want; it doesn’t make those feelings go away. men I go on dates wi…

Upvoted for putting in serious effort into a rebuttal even though I disagree. But yeah, I call bs on this being the underlying reason for the discrepancy. For one, there is a huge gulf between the sexes, so there would have to be an equally huge number of women in their twenties who date men in their thirties. I’m not denying it happens by any means, but I would have to see exactly what the figure is in order to give this theory more faith. But the other reason I doubt this, is because the gulf …

So many people in the comments are jumping through hoops to find explanations for this that pin the blame on men, when the simpler solution is just hypergamy. Either Occam’s razor is dead, or you people have some studies to support your theories that you’re not sharing with the rest of us. Either way, I honestly don’t care what the cause of this trend is. This drastic rise in sexlessness is alarming regardless of what’s causing it. When roughly 30 percent of young men are not getting any sex, th…

A higher percentage of women are in relationships than young men lol this theory makes zero sense. You know that a heterosexual relationship comprises a woman and a man right? How could there possibly be more women in relationships than men? Unless you’re saying most women date a small subset of men, which still sounds like hypergamy to me. The only other possible explanation for your theory would be if there were significantly more lesbians than gay men, which is both ridiculous and not borne o…
