I was that teenager once. Partially because my stepdad being an overly harsh dick to me was a major reason my mom left but partially because teenagers are rebellious anyway. We semi reconciled some years later and he passed away shortly after. Just let them know you still care about them and want to be in their lives still if they’ll let you. They’ll likely come around eventually.

No chance. I love my kids but I’d likely have different kids I love with but with a person worth loving instead.

Mine was like that. Over time she exposed herself to essentially everyone. If your state is single party consent make a recording, it can help you.

So I’ll mention one of the things that stuck in my head when contemplating the same. Every adult that I knew that was a child of parents that stayed together for the kids wished their parents hadn’t. Not one single person that I’d ever met said “I’m really grateful they stayed miserable and together for me.”

Dude you’re out here literally copy pasting ChatGPT content based on your bitter woman hating perspective. Trying to poison the minds of others without even being willing to do the base level work of authoring original content outside of your ChatGPT prompt. Kindly go fuck yourself.

There was a moment after I moved into my new place after separating. I'll probably remember it clearly for the rest of my life honestly. I sat down at my kitchen table after moving and unpacking and this big sigh and felt my shoulders and traps relax in a way I don't think I'd felt in years. I finally had a true moment of peace and was able to finally relax for a moment. It was so physical and apparent that it was impossible to ignore. We were together for 11 years with the back half of those ye…

" But I will say in our 27 year relationship I often felt like an accessory for her, like a handbag or a pair of shoes, just a box to check. Kinda feel like she treats the kids the same way." I think this is super common in the social media era unfortunately. "Pretty sure the relationship started while we were still married, but even if it didn’t, doesn’t it seem strange how the very first relationship worked out so well that it has lasted over a year and now they are spending Xmas together?" Co…

No need to wait if you can trust yourself. Everyone's journey is different and I think the worst thing about this sub is individuals pretending their specific experience is universal (they never are). If you feel like you can manage it then I say go for it. As long as you're managing expectations on both ends this should be fine, just be vigilant for yourself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
