You're kinda missing my point. The guy won't have a chance to be smooth, because I probably won't be in a receptive mood. Communication is a two way street. And even if he manages to give me his card,it's more than likely that I'll think him mlm salesman or something, who's being smooth to gain something. Me too! Not to mention, im stressed and focused on what and how much stuff I'm getting, if I'm forgetting something etc etc. It hadn't even occurred to me before seeing this post that someone can ask a person out in a grocery store. If this happened to me before, I'd have thought that person a bit looney, and definitely said no.
