Socialite translates to rich, so she will come out of this without too much trouble.

To be fair, unless you are the owner of the company, all employees are just tools used to reach the company's objectives.

True, but it's very common for wives to become moms and husbands are just their roommate. Important maybe, but not as important as the kids.

That is true of your wife as well.

In the US, she can put his name on the birth certificate, and legally, he becomes the father. It would be on him to disprove that, and finally, it still may not matter. May be different in some locations, but widely true.

If the roles were reversed, I'd say "Holy shit! A naked woman rappelling down the building! What a badass!", or something to that effect.

So what do you call a "woman" who had a hysterectomy? If she doesn't have a womb or penis, what is she?
/r/MensRights17/08/22 05:12 PM

Why would that surprise anyone? They also think women are the primary victims of war, not the men who die.

He is not stuck. He could leave anytime he wanted. He has enough money to be able to afford the financial hit. It sucks that it's a choice between two bad things, but if he would rather stay than go, he has made his choice. Don't feel bad for him.

Maybe, maybe not, but he's still choosing to be there. That limits the available sympathy.

Signing a contract you don't understand is a "you" problem, not an "Industry" problem. There are literally people all over whose job it is to go through a contract with you, and discuss the pros and cons of each part. They are called attorneys.

So it's not allowed to complain as long as SOMETHING is done, no matter how little? I think I disagree completely.

I've heard about the Ciudad Juarez women many times, and there have been many films even. I had not heard of the Boko Haram boys until this very minute.

Maybe, don't report on the case at all until there is a resolution. Then you can decide what is a fair report (or non-report).

I don't think the political establishment has cut off internet access. I think private corporations have limited the access of people who does hate speech & plot to overthrow the government. I'm talking about the US, maybe you're talking about china or something, IDK.

That's a valid opinion to have, but that should not be enshrined in the law.

There have always been some unfortunate cases of either gender, true. The unfortunate truth is that there have been overwhelmingly more unfortunate cases on the male side. That is not disputed. My brother was actually taught in law school that protection of women and children's rights is paramount. There was no mention of protecting men. It is assumed that they can & will be able to protect themselves.

It must be nice to be so lucky smart. It's still too one-sided, and no amount of your your personal anecdotal experience will change that.

The point is there is no way to know for sure. If she does lie, and the man is on the hook for 18 years, that is fraud. How do you propose to deal with that?

Same thing applies to islam. Extremists commit acts of terrorism in allah's name. When people blame Islam, they say " it's not islam that's the problem, it's individuals". But, if your people are fucked up, you need to fix them.

Except for jail, apparently.

But he is not, in fact, the father. Bio-dad is, in fact, the father. He is just the man who was defrauded into believing he was the father.
/r/MensRights04/07/19 12:09 AM
5

At this point, why would anyone care what the POS mom thinks? The court should tell her to go sit in the corner and wait until the adults get done talking.
/r/MensRights03/07/19 06:23 PM
3

It literally means that.
/r/MensRights03/07/19 06:21 PM
10

I don't think the word father means what you think it does. DNA proves he is, in fact, not the father. You could argue that he is the stepfather, if you want, but that is totally not the same thing.
/r/MensRights03/07/19 06:20 PM
2

It's really not that difficult. Just give the guy a divorce and make mom pay him his money back. She can have bio-dad pay for the kid like he should have all along. Simple.
/r/MensRights03/07/19 06:10 PM
1

But the bio dad is legally responsible to pay for the child. If I have a one-night stand and the chick gets pregnant, I am legally financially responsible for that child WHETHER I KNEW OF THE CHILD OR NOT. It's the same for bio-dad in this case.

It would be much easier, and probably a better end result for him, to just go on a trip in the mountains to rekindle their love, and have her slip and fall off a cliff.
/r/MensRights03/07/19 06:04 PM
1

I don't think it's safe to assume that, in this case, either of the parents love the child as much as themselves.
/r/MensRights03/07/19 06:02 PM

But she can't reach most of it, so that's no benefit to Gillette.

Some of them have had great box office results, but I have yet to see one that was as good as the hype.

Isn't that every comic book movie?
/r/MensRights10/03/19 05:02 AM

You can make both. I agree with you that its sounds bad when you present it that way, I just don't think it is wrong, unless the math is wrong.
/r/MensRights31/01/19 05:40 AM
1

To me it sounds like you are saying its misleading because of the implication, not so much the math.
/r/MensRights31/01/19 12:24 AM
1

So, its more like 15%, because you'll probably avoid the the 5 divorce guy?
/r/MensRights31/01/19 12:22 AM
1

If your argument is that the number isn't 50%, then I can understand that. However, if your argument is that it isn't 50% for first marriages, I'd argue that that was never stated.
/r/MensRights31/01/19 12:17 AM
2

By leaving out multiple divorces by the same person, you are "skewing the numbers", just in a different way.
/r/MensRights31/01/19 12:14 AM
6

I don't understand your comment about "skewing the numbers". If a person gets divorced 5 times, that's still 5 marriages that ended in divorce.why should that not be reflected?

I think the label is "Retarded".
/r/MensRights29/01/19 08:27 PM

That only works if they realize they are like that. Sadly, most don't seem to realize.

They were holding their watch party in a building that has a glass roof. It was supposed to be symbolic. I guess it was, just not in the way they wanted.

EX-girlfriend? Hopefully?
/r/MensRights01/09/15 06:47 PM

I guess that is similar to the legal concept of "silence implies consent"?

After reading through the thread, I have a question. Can we not have a box on the birth certificate where the mother certifies that the person listed on the birth certificate is the biological father (to the best of her knowledge)? If it turns out years later that DNA disproves paternity, the man actually could show intent to defraud.
/r/MensRights09/10/13 05:09 PM
1

His obligations became entrenched and he didn't question the obligation for 11 years. At that point, I think the court was right to determine either that he had waived his right to challenge paternity and/or the children's interest had become so enmeshed with him being their father that he has taken on the role of a father. Is this a legal determination, or opinion? Meaning, does the law actually spell out a time period after which you waive the right to challenge?
/r/MensRights09/10/13 04:54 PM
2

Except, DNA proves not his.
/r/MensRights09/10/13 04:50 PM
3

But he is not the child's parent. His needs should not be superseded by an unrelated child's needs.
