3	Ontario Woman Must Pay $24,000 To Man She Accused Of Rape If there was more likelihood of prosecution of false accusers, judges might be more willing to keep out reputation evidence. I don't think it will make much difference when it's one person's word against another, the defense will always try to discredit the accuser.
