Likelihood of having to pay support?Australian here. I feel so sorry for you guys and "alimony"? We don't pay it here thank fuck. I'll be highly reluctant to have a de facto/marriage again. If I lived in the US I would 100% not | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/09/21 06:11 AM

Struggling a little bit, would just like to know I’m doing the right thing!!I was paying 100% of the bills after separation, and now she won't repay them. $4k worth. While she was unbeknownst to me hooking up elsewhere | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 08:51 PM
What would you tell your younger self?I love helping with the homework (homeschooling because of COVID). I also did all the swimming, hosting of playdates, joined their martial arts class to keep them interested, read the bed time stories. I got 25-30 hours less sleep a week, paid for everything. The whole time she was on Facebook. The whole time. Left the kitchen in filth Complained I didn't show her enough affection, after sleeping 3 hours out of 48 and waking up to hours of cleaning. Eventually she wanted a separation and then sa… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 07:23 PM
Struggling a little bit, would just like to know I’m doing the right thing!!Fellow Australian here going through the same thing. She also wants 60% of the house, even though she has chosen to be underemployed. The whole thing is soul destroying, not just the financials | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 07:15 PM

What would you tell your younger self? While they sit on Facebook watching shitty reality tv and blaming you for putting on weight, because "you're not sweet enough" | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 04:39 PM
What would you tell your younger self?THIS. Even in separation she wants more. More time to herself. More of my money. I woke up at 6.30am, cooked, cleaned, washed and remade the beds, washed and put away all of the kids clothes, moved and cleaned the guinea pigs, walked the dog, went bike riding with the kids. While I was making the beds and getting ready to lie down for an hour (my day hadn't even started, working a 10 hour night shift- awake 26 hours straight) she comes in and asks why I didn't get our daughter a treat as she was… | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 04:37 PM

Daddy’s little girlLiving in the same house for a year. Kids 11 &10 know we are separated but I currently see them at least 13/14 days. Ex wants to "nest" which will mean I only see them half of the time..The thought absolutely kills me, while she is happy to only have them 50% of the time. Looks forward to it in fact. I often break down when the kids do/say something which shows how much they love me. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 04:24 PM
Rushing into a Separation AgreementYep. Some out of date shit about the kids needing their mother as the primary carer | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 04:19 PM
Rushing into a Separation Agreement100%. Separated a year but living together most of the time. My Ex broke it off but constantly tells me I should leave because I am the male. WTF?! My response is "you wanted out, you leave". She has a place to go on her weekends "off", and a boyfriend. She wants me to go somewhere on my weekends "off" (last one was 10 weeks ago) as I don't allow her to "mother as she wants", which I can only conclude means her on Facebook while they YouTube. I'm happy to "nest" but I'm not getting a place just … | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 04:16 PM
Missing family lifeYep, my Ex is exactly that. I did 75% of the paid work, at least 50% of cleaning, washing, 75% of the cooking, >50% of the activities, 50% of the school runs. And she's claiming 60/40 on the house because she was "unable to work more" due to domestic responsibilities. Even though she told the counsellor she was "winding down to retirement" (at 45, with zero savings). She knocked back extra work because it interfered with her yoga class.... | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/09/21 03:43 PM
