This is a good way to get hit with their sides attorney fees.

Idk that there are any quick ways to gather money for things like this. I’ve just used up all my credit cards, borrowed money, sold things etc.

Depends on what it is. My ex lied on her FA but her lies about siphoning money for a couple years before that while planning mattered much more.

Amazing. Mine wants the world and has caused over 180k between the two of us fighting for it. Waiting for a trial date.

How did that turn out. That’s the exact situation I’m in.

My ex did this and it’s super shady. With the help of my forensic accountant I’ll be looking for ALL of those funds to be diverted to me fully for fraudulent conveyance. Not okay.

How else would they continue to destroy your life out of pure spite if they suddenly become agreeable and reasonable?

Yes, do not recommend.

Of course there is always something everyone can do to be better, that doesn’t make it all of “our” fault. Mine was completely malicious and vindictive. The woman I am divorcing is not the woman I married. If this is who I knew she would be 2 years in, I’d have ran the other direction.

Oh hell no lol this does not apply to everyone. I did everything possible and she treated me horribly. No sir, this was not situation in the least bit.

This is where I’m headed lol although for anyone who has to pay alimony or child support that can’t be added. But I’m about to say fuck it and file once this divorce is over bc the debt from trying to get divorced is horrendous

So far 80k just in legal fees on my side, mediation failed twice as STBXW is asking for everything except debt or anything fair with regards to our child. I’m almost a year in and it’s going nowhere.

Not even close to 1m. Total together around 300k. Debt is accrued in high conflict divorce and then magically there’s no money when the high conflict spouse decides to stop the games. edited to add that it doesn’t matter how little assets you think you have. Do not underestimate a vengeful spouse who has no forward thinking skills on how this will impact everyone. They will burn it all down and end up with what the state calculator says and by then the lawyers are laughing all the way to the ban…

This depends entirely on your spouse and how reasonable both of you are. Mine was supposed to be amicable and I’m 100k in 9 months later.

We subpoenaed everything bc she’s a liar so that’s improbable.

I’m not in a virtual scenario, I’m in an active one and so are others commenting. When my third round of mediation fails in a month, I’ll send the case number and hearing date for trial. I will get more than 50/50 of custody as well as assets.

The garbage is more of a permanent home in my opinion

This is just not factual, not in the least bit. I am actively going through it and between myself and my forensic, my entire case has shifted because of what was found.

How is it easy to hide money? I have all of my ex’s documents and found the siphoning before bringing in a forensic. Did she not disclose some things? Of course, it benefits her not to. But that’s why motions to compel exist and u can find enough information on 1-2 years of bank statements.

In my case, when we proceed to trial she will be on the hook for the full amount of dissipated assets and an unequal distribution of the rest of the assets and debts as penalty for her lies. Likely my forensics and attorney fees as well.

Exactly this. Mine claimed to want to be amicable and trying to get me to settle with her attorney (me not hire one) and push it through. She declined 6 settlement offers in her favor and played the I don’t have money and am poor card. Come to find out she has over 100k in an account I had no access to and has been making close to what I make monthly while showing paystubs that she makes 40k a year. Keep your eyes open boys, the signs are always there and they cannot hide those transactions once…

As a female being divorced by another female, I can say with certainty that so long as you have the will (and finances) to see it through the end, those not disclosing or siphoning money will have their ass handed to them in court. My ex did this for years I’m just finding out and the tides have now turned in this divorce. She has held all the power with her lies and now there’s no turning back and it’s not looking good for her.

Can you link the example of the 1m vs 100k situation. This would be EXTREMELY helpful for me

Was she a stay at home mom? Is that why you got hosed during this divorce?

Why would you keep all the marital debt and still give her money plus her car?
/r/Divorce_Men18/06/23 05:41 PM

That’s why I pointed out this is without a court order. Her and her attorney have been horrendous but things shifted as I’m sure some type of discussion took place that she’s at risk of losing some custody if this continues. Not every judge, state or jurisdiction is going to act the same but we haven’t even gotten there yet and there’s a shift.

It will be weird at first for them but it didn’t take long before he wanted me to hold him and it was like I was never gone. It’s going to be okay even if the situation is absolutely not.

I will never understand it and I am doing my best to stop trying as it just causes more suffering emotionally. The only thing I can say is not to give up because eventually she HAS to follow by the law (there’s still no court order bc they are backed up). But, the longer they continue the behavior the worse if looks. I have him 4 days a week now although she’s still holding out on overnights for now but won’t be too long until I get those too. Keep your head up, things will change.

I won’t give too many details as I’m still in an active, nasty custody/divorce battle but my STBXW kept my son away from me for almost 8 months. Not a call, a picture, all emails were either ignored or received a nasty response. He’s two years old. I saw him for the first time yesterday and while it took him a minute, he still knows and was comfortable with me. You got this.

I’m a female divorcing another female and can tell you there’s only lack of accountability on one side.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
