Lol hope it's not a kidney or she's a hell of an actor. You're right, less thinking more doing, thanks!

Dude you're so right. I literally just realized that a few weeks ago, much of the sex and wanting to be attractive to girls comes from my need of validation. Which by definition makes it needy and sad and unattractive as fuck. You write good stuff, thanks man

Shit man that's some magic they're working there. Hopefully one day

Damn... Yeah the pulling it off part is where I struggle... Maybe I just give too much of a fuck. I say things and they are like oh ok whatever. Do you have any advice to make that easier? or it's just good ole fail until you don't

Soo basically "be my wallet so I can do all these expensive things I can't afford myself. Maybe I'll even give you a side hug for being such good friend". There's a reason it's called beta BUCKS

Really good points man, thanks! I got a question though, after you start, what then? I'm decent in starting and keeping conversations, but I always get stuck in the banal or purely intellectual topics (depending on her intelligence). I have such a hard time getting that emotional response. Any tips?

I've been thinking a lot about all of this cause recently I've had a lot of lost interest and flaking with texting only for logistics. It seems to tense her up and arrive a little more closed up than normal I hate texting, mainly maybe because I suck at it and haven't found a way to be funny and engaging through text. What are a couple of ways you do it??

Dude, read the sidebar. People are giving you shit about the movies, and yeah it's not the best date ever, but you can make it work. What's apalling is what happened next, you handled the rejection like a bitch. "lmk if I wasn't good enough"? -> Seeking validation. "don't ghost me, you're not as good a person" -> Needy, shaming, passive aggressive. That's prime beta behavior. You gotta stop putting that pussy on a pedestal. Read the sidebar, again if you have already and monk out while you finis…

I found TRP as I was ending a relationship that turned super shitty no matter how much effort and love I poured into it. Who knew that I was just digging myself a bigger hole... Anyway, I'm happy to be able to see things this way. What hit me hardest was to realize a woman will never love me as I would like to be loved, but it's miles better to see things the ugly truth and use it to my advantage than to live in a pink fantasy. Thanks again for the extra insight and advice!

Next time invite her out, as "friends" with finger quotations and a wry smile. Escalate heavily. Or go nuclear and say FWB, worst case you get rid of a prude you wouldn't have wanted anyway (watch out for ASD though...)

This is something I haven't been able to swallow about TRP. Either the man takes advantage of the woman or the woman takes advantage of the man? No middle ground? I thought TRP gave us tools to avoid being fucked, and appeal to what women ACTUALLY want (AF)

No haha, I got freaked out by her friends implying my plate and I had something more serious that what we really have (and I want). I've been going for the unwillingness to commit frame, but don't know if it would be better to tell her explicitly that I don't want anything serious.

Thanks for the discussion, nice to see some different points of view. I've no interest in a LTR so right now it's more how to keep it fun and simple. I get what you're saying there, and I might even agree to some point, but the problem comes when you start EXPECTING the relationship to bring fulfillment. It might be as a side effect of super compatibility and maturity etc may ENHANCE the fulfillment you already have, but in my experience it's been like chasing a dream. I'm better off being fulfi…

Thanks man, good stuff here, covered all the bases. I definitely DON'T want a LTR with her or anybody (might not have been clear enough), I'm thinking more FWB. I think you have a point in that she might be needing comfort. How do I give some comfort without being beta and avoiding giving her the idea that I want a LTR?

As others said in another thread, the gym is a very tough first date spot, especially if you're not experienced. You can use it to joke around, make her laugh a lot and make her comfortable to light touching. After that take her for coffee or beers if you clicked well, there you can do a proper escalation. Don't force it though, depending on how the gym goes you might be better off asking for her phone and setting up a real date later.

Nice that's a good point, outcome independent. I'm flirting, dating but still have to work on being on the moment, enjoying whatever comes. Cheers man!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
