See I look at it this way: women that have successfully procreated (had children) have usually done it by their 30s (tho that number is sliding up recently). If you’re looking at statistics then it’s more likely that older women have settled and have long term partners or children and therefore less likely to have casual sex at those ages. Those kids with parents who had stronger emotional bonds may have got to outlive kids without and pass that tendency for attachment on?
